Great pub that doesn't show up on Google Maps in Minsterley. We called in here on the off chance of some food after being turned away from the Nags Head in Pontesbury for having 2 dogs and not 1, bizarre!! So glad the Nags Head turned us away, the welcome received here was fantastic, by all staff. More importantly the food and drink was both a lot more reasonable and faultless in quality, thank you so much the staff of the Crown and Sceptre for giving us a great eating out experience!!

Excellent food, hot and plentiful. Prices are very reasonable. Staff are all helpful, friendly and efficient. Menu is varied.

We love this pub! Delicious home cooked food and a warm welcome every time. The pub is a beautiful old building with exposed beams and a roaring fire always lit in winter. The beer garden with views of the Shropshire Hills is stunning for summer, plus it's fenced in so you can have kids and dogs running about with no bother

This was the restaurant we chose for our Christmas Eve meal. My friend is GF and we had previously enquired about the choice available. The restaurant was able to provide a wide selection of GF meals, in fact for practically every choice on the menu. We had a delicious and well presented meal. We both agreed the service and meal were excellent.

Well I had been a customer for well over 10 years .but will not be going any more One particular member of staff thought it appropriate to raise her voice and try and belittle me in front of others in the shop No manners and just rude, no customer service skills I politely declined and walked out and will NOT be going back Will happily take my custom somewhere else and my money

So where do I start, let me start by praising certain members of staff such as the chef and a young waitress who were both nothing but lovely. Our issue (not the first time) is that a male bar tender who looked like Steve cooper (Leicester manager) made a comment our dog had jumped up at the door (literally 2 seconds and then sat down). Iām sorry but, this is dog behaviour and in advertising that you are dog friendly it is accepted that you understand such. We were made to feel apologetic for having a dog, which in a country pub should not be the case. 90% of the uk population have an increase in dopamine when seeing a dog or having interaction with a dog. Sadly we have been made to feel uncomfortable drinking and eating here, We will be attending the PLOUGH pub in Pontesbury from now on. Very sad!!!!!!!!!
