Myself and my other half decided to pop out for a meal, we had been recommended The Angel by family members, we thought we'd try it for ourselves! I called 18:00 this evening asking for an 18:30 or 19:00 book in for table for two (short notice I know) but what a delight!!! We got a table booked for 18:30! The food, service and staff was amazing, me and my other half have not dined in a place like this for years I'd say! I've attached a few photos of our meals they we're phenomenal! Absolutely sublime... I'm not one to leave reviews but this place deserves it!!! Their hospitality was second to none! If you're looking for a nice place for a spot of lunch or Sunday lunch whatever tickles your pickle this is the place for you! Brilliant place to dine/drink! Cheers🍻

Absolutely perfect in every way. Welcoming staff who were friendly, knew what they were doing and got on with it. Rooms were spotless, well appointed and had everything you needed. Very good shower (especially after a 200+ mile motorcycle ride). Dinner was spot on in terms of choice, quality and service with breakfast being equally as good. Hospitality done this well needs shouting about. Overall a fantastic experience that helped to make a weekend bike ride into a very memorable trip. I’m now looking for an excuse to go again & take my wife!!

We had a service of remembrance at St Leonards Church and the Bell looked to be the ideal place to gather afterwards. They could not have been more accommodating and they did us all proud. Exactly what we wanted, and very good value. Bear in mind this is a community owned pub, and is not open every day of the week. But every time we have been there it has been welcoming, well run and good value.

Lovely place to visit, reception were very friendly and welcoming. But the somewhat grumpy staff in the tea room assured my partner that a fresh brownie, although not labelled as gluten free, was in fact gluten free. It tasted great but after 48hrs of the usual gastric symptoms of having eaten gluten, I really don't believe it was gluten free.

Very little soup to start for the price we paid. Beetroot and goats cheese tart was obviously bought in and there was more rocket than tart. Chicken supreme with spinach and wild mushroom was very dry and not much sauce or mushroom. Tiny apple crumble for the price. I asked for a coffee liqueur which the waitress didn’t know what I was talking about not her fault she had not been trained. It came in a cup with the coffee taken out of a machine which was tasteless, couldn’t taste the liqueur and was drowned with cream. Disappointing experience for the prices they are asking for.
