The best restaurants in Bircher Herefordshire, County of West Midlands

What a great pub! We were in Bircher for the weekend and booked the pub for my birthday on the Saturday and had a fantastic meal. The staff were excellent as was the chef who also made a fantastic birthday cake. We also visited on the Sunday even though they couldn’t accommodate us for Sunday lunch, the chef came out and offered to lay on chips and rolls for us. Great range of beers as well.

The loveliest staff I've ever experienced. Situated on a lovely country road this is what I would consider a quintessential English pub. The food was better than great and I can only say that the staff went above and beyond. Highly recommend this pub if you are in Herefordshire. Miss it and you miss out !!

Just returned from Easter Sunday lunch and so impressed i felt i had to leave them a review. Food was great, service was great and the main man (i assume the gaffer) was super friendly and welcoming. It's also a community owned pub, so great to see the model working so well. Absolutely fantastic, so if you are passing don't miss it.

Superb food and service with a great choice. This is now called The Maidenhead so a bit confusing finding it on this site!!!

Second time we have stayed here, this time for 4 nights. Room comfortable and clean, tidied daily. The food is great, ample choice for breakfast. Dinner was delicious. The staff are wonderful and friendly, very attentive. Will definitely return a third time.

Beautiful and varied Trust property. Several good marked walks including an iron age hillfort with fantastic views. Good café and children's playground. Fabulous ancient trees.

Lunch time,Only one person serving and she was unhappy, never cracked a smile. She really did not want to be in work We tested most of menu scampi was frozen from a bag chips were cold, beef and ale pie was watery no gravy in pie, fish and chips poor again chips cold. Puddings were below standard ?again frozen not home made. Would not recommend , coffe shop next door is great

The food was expensive £11.50 for a dish of naughty fries. They came overcooked; over salted. The tomato and mozzarella dressing was very disappointing. Not enough cheese and one tasteless tomato finely chopped. The service was slow and not very attentive. We waited ages after having been given the dessert menu to see what we wanted. We'd lost interest by then. It was not at all a busy time. The coffee was equally disappointing and expensive. More like milk and a dash. Americanos were served already milked with hot milk. Come on Maidenhead you used to be good value with properly cooked food. The hunter's chicken was overcooked and dry.
