A textbook experience from the moment we entered this charmingly characterful pub restaurant. The staff were attentive from the beginning to the end, polite & friendly. Our meals were well cooked & delicious & we ended with a tea & coffee; my coffee was the best I've experienced in a long time! We shall certainly return quite soon!

Booked for Sunday Lunch with hubby and the 2 dogs. I did email beforehand to check about the dogs but they said it was not a problem. Lovely old pub with a nice welcoming vibe. We both had the roast beef which was excellent, nice selection of veg which were different, roast beetroot and parsnip and celeriac dauphinois. Very fresh. Hubby had sticky toffee pudding with ice cream and would have licked the plate if he could. I had the mango and passion fruit cheesecake which was scrumptious. Overall absolutely lovely, not the cheapest but worth the extra. Service was good, friendly and they were very good about the dogs who were very well behaved thank goodness. Would I come again definitely yes

A lovely find. We were looking around the village prior and came across this pub. We had lunch in the garden which we enjoyed. The food was good, service friendly and quick. Staff chatted to us about the village and directed us to the venue we were looking for. Nice atmosphere in the pub . We would visit again.

We are staying in the area and tried this great pub out on Friday. We both had the battered hake and it was delicious. We decided to try it out for Sunday lunch and we weren't disappointed. We were staying locally & had the Boot recommended to us. Wouldn’t necessarily have thought to eat here if we hadn’t had a recommendation- just on appearances, decor a bit dated , typical village pub though so nice as a rustic setting. But so glad we came! Would much rather have beautiful food than basic food in a sleek setting! Popped in for dinner & had wonderful food (the cheese soufflé to start was delicious & could’ve had a main sized portion! Lamb Ragu was rich and super tender meat & fish and chips - crispy batter & all perfectly cooked.) Service quiet, polite & timely. Will definitely return in the future!

Wow what a great decision to book here. This probably was the best Sunday lunch we've had. The food was amazing we both had a Beef roast and my it was delicious, and huge portions. The veg dishes that came with were delicious too. Extra gravy came when asked too. Nothing was too much trouble. We live over an hour away but had stayed in Ludlow which is why we ended up here, but we said we'd drive an hour to go again for such a great experience. All the staff were wonderful too. Such a quaint place full of atmosphere absolutely recommend. Thanks for a wonderful experience to all working today. Sunday 11th February 24.

Five of us came for dinner and we loved everything about this pub. Chris was very friendly and welcoming (despite our getting delayed on the motorway) and we were able to bring our dogs. Chris was also very reassuring about the food being suitable for coeliacs. And there was a great choice! My heritage tomatoes in garlicky balsamic vinegar were delicious. The chorizo Scotch egg also went down a storm. It was such a treat to be able to have gluten free fish and chips: light, crispy batter on the fish (made with gluten free beer) and chips, all fried in gluten free oil. We also has gluten free onion rings! The lamb rump and the chicken breast were also really good. The puddings were amazing! My chocolate délice was rich and creamy and came with salted ice cream and honeycomb. We also had the lemon posset and the sticky toffee pudding, both excellent. Service was calm, friendly and efficient despite this being a very busy Friday evening. All in all, this was a very impressive meal and I wish we lived nearer! Thanks so much to Chris and the rest of your team!

A wonderful evening dinner. We’ve been camping at Ludlow and as it was our last night, we didn’t want to cook. Called up after seeing good reviews on Tripadvisor. Due to Covid, there are a few niceties to observe but we had a delicious meal sitting in a lovely, flower-filled garden with good service ...what more could one want? Well, actually, it's in a pretty village with a Post Office/shop as well! We both had two starters - different ones- as they sounded interesting. I had burrata on a bed of beans/peas /leaves , plus ham hock terrine with super picallili. He had cider marinated salmon plus a delicious scotch egg with that picallili. HE succumbed to the lure of chocolate and pecan tart...yummy. Have been back since for Sunday lunch, enjoying a choice of starters as above and then topside of pink beef with the trimmings for him and roasted tomato risotto and leaves for me. This is going to be a regular experience hopefully.

With three drinks and coffee for one was only £53. Just lovely and would thoroughly recommend people find this pub.

The Coronavirus has hit the restaurants and pubs hard but that hasn’t seemed to stop The Boot Inn, offering local services and takeaway meals. It was Mothering Sunday and we had a table for 5 booked in however due to the shutdown The Boot contacted us to explain they would be doing takeaway roast dinners and would we still like to order food from them... we thought why not!? The service from explaining the situation they are in, sending the menu over and taking our order was very friendly and helpful. We placed our order and set a time for collection. The takeaway roast dinners were served on a plate which made it feel so much more than a takeaway, we still had the home cooked feeling from eating of a plate and not out of a box, it was the little detail like that that made it! The food portion was perfect and allowed room for the flavoursome sticky toffee pudding! I am so pleased that the team are working together to keep the meals going, takeaway drinks were also available in a carry out Hobsons jug, the overall service from start to finish was amazing, friendly and understanding! The food was cooked to perfection, piping hot so by the time we got home it was still nice and warm for us all to eat. Keep up the good work!

Since the community bought the pub, we must help them keep it. Great in the summer, snug in the winter

Have visited for lunch a few times now and always found the food excellent and a good choice if you are not a meat eater.

So pleased to find The Boot opened again and in good heart. A warm welcome from Chris behind the bar on arrival, drinks in hand, noted sympathetically redesigned interior of the characterful pub/restaurant, personally known for over 60 years. A good mix of locals in for a pint and diners from further afield produced a friendly hub-bub atmosphere, with families and children catered for with high chairs etc. We only had appetite for a light lunch (full breakfast elsewhere) but it was delicious and beautifully presented, which meant that we shall be back when able to do more justice to the extensive menu. A Community pub flourishing - see you again soon Chris and the team behind the scenes & thank you for a very pleasant visit.

Haven't visited for at least 10 years but were warmly welcomed to this community pub. Refurbishments are brilliant, the food was excellent, reasonable prices, and brilliant service. Couldn't rate it highly enough!

A superbly refurbished and community run pub with very friendly management. We were made welcome and had a meal in the restaurant which was off the main bar area. The food was excellent, filling and well presented. The staff were incredibly attentive without being intrusive. There were at least three real ales on offer as well as ciders, and the beers, I can vouch for, were well kept. The pub was busy which is a good sign.Thank you to all the staff for a great evening.

The interior has recently been re-furbished and is excellent. A single space with a good bar serving some local ales which are well kept. The landlord knows his stuff. The dining area is cosy and the food well served. We'll certainly go back.

Glad that this has re-opened. My daughter and I had a fabulous cocktail followed by 2 courses both of which were excellent. Considering this was lunchtime on New Years Eve and they had an event in the evening we were surprised at the scope of the menu. Everything was beautifully cooked and presented.Others have commented on the portion sizes but as far as we were concerned they were more than adequate. Better to have a smaller portion of beautifully cooked and tasty food than a plateful of dull!

Visited as a group of four, first time in the pub/restaurant. Nice cosy little place with really good happy service. Food was good quality. Had garlicky mushroom started with stilton but that was disappointing. The portion was tiny and with only 3 small crumbs of stilton on top. The main of roast beef was lovely. Beef cooked to perfection.

Delicious roast. Quality was great. Turkey was superb. Quiet pricey in terms of portion but It was deceiving because I was full after the main course. Would absolutely visit again.

Good quality beer Food portions very small so totally overpriced Visited with a view to book a function for twenty six but not confident the Boot is capable of meeting expectations Staff do not have a clue .....very ignorant and extremely lacking in customer care I'll return to give this potentially good village pub a second chance

Beautiful scenic spot, absolutely stunning. Dog friendly. Food was amazing and atmosphere good too. Boat was running as water was too high but didn’t matter to us!

We were staying on the Malvern View Country and Leisure Park for a weekend stay which we could not fault. However, we dined at The Old Barnhouse on the Saturday evening and unfortunately the food was terrible. We waited for nearly an hour and when the food arrived it was half cold. My mother and father had scampi and chips, no peas and they were out of tartare sauce! My sister and I had the New Yorker chicken which consisted of a huge portion of coleslaw that wasn’t very nice and the chicken was small and if poor quality. My daughter had a kids pizza, chips and beans which was just about acceptable. The five meals and a round of drinks came to over £80 which was appalling for the quality of the food. Avoid The Old Barnhouse for food! Pleasant enough for a drink.

Only went in for a Latte - great flavour/strength. I have to write 100 characters but only went in for a coffee!

Absolutely shocking Saturday lunch experience. Arrived mid lunch time to an empty pub and miserable, unwelcoming, inconvenienced bar maid. All the ale was off. Most of the specials weren’t on so ordered the wild boar hot dog with a salad. It arrived in a stale, cremated smart price bun. The actual hot dog had been oven cooked until it was blackened, it looked like it had been heated up multiple times. Diced, undercooked onions. The meal arrived with a huge portion of oven chips (frozen, undercooked), no salad. Tried mentioning this to the waitress but she’d stormed off. Honestly, the worst paid meal I’ve ever had. Didn’t finish, left and won’t ever be back. Now I understand why the place was empty. The place has so much potential. Hopefully it goes bust and is bought by someone that understands good hospitality.

I arranged a lunch here for my walking group of 40. The meals were excellent and served by friendly staff. It was a most enjoyable occasion.
