The best restaurants in Backbury Herefordshire, County of West Midlands

I wish to say before I write a review I give top honours to chef you have it down to a tea .I had belly pork and mash with veg let me explain it was the best pork I've ever eaten was perfect in every way tender succulent and crackling was to die for my friend had lasagna and garlic bread both meals were top quality whilst resting after dinner , I see another tables cod chips go out pass me let me explain people it over hung plate on both sides the plate it has had me all ready looking for return visit to sample a cod chips .in my opinion people this is place to eat in Hereford forget the rest this is number one spot in Herefordshire.

Lovely country pub with lots of atmosphere. Food was delicious & well presented. All staff were very friendly & helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Sandra exceeded her hospitality & made us most welcome. Would highly recommend this pub for food & drinks. We will Definately return again. Thank you.

Despite having paid in full for our stay, we discovered that hidden amongst the line items on our bill was an increased charge for the room. When we raised this with the staff we were told that there was no manager on site and therefore the extra payment could not be rectified. It astounds me that a delivery driver for Waitrose is enfranchised, on the doorstep, to initiate an immediate refund for an issue, but this company's staff, managing a busy pub and hotel on a Saturday night cannot. I was told their manager might respond on Monday. However, this did not happen. They never answer emails, they have an automated phone system that always ends with a voice mail (not answered), and when I was eventually in touch about my booking I was told it would be resolved and they never called back.

Great Lunch and good value, amazing old building, friendly staff and quick service. Oh and good beer and Cider. Well worth a visit in beautiful Herefordshire countryside, secure large car park - and does rooms too !

The Crown has become one of our favourite places to eat. The food is excellent every time & we always have such a lovely time. The staff are welcoming & the service is very good. There is nothing I can say to fault it any way I highly recommend.
