Good food, reasonably quick service and good value

We had a lovely meal today. A warm welcome when we arrived. We had comfortable seating, great food and wonderful service. Special thank you to Kim for cooking the lovely food and Rhys for wonderful service. We will definitely be coming back.

We love visiting the Cock of Tupsley. The food is always delicious and plenty of it! The price is very affordable and makes the Cock of Tupsley very convenient for us to visit. The staff are always helpful. Everything came out in good time and was exactly what we asked for.

Lovely and clean plus it was a warm pub. Good pub food. Pleasant attentive staff. Timings all good for the meal .

Always a warm welcome from the staff,nothing is ever too much trouble for them. I have complex food allergies which they are more than accommodating for. The food no matter what we order always tastes delicious. Many thanks to Adam and his entire team

Absolutely amazing! Lovely, friendly staff, cosy seating areas and delicious food. We've been twice in the last two weeks and have recommended the Cock of Tupsley to everyone.

Joe gave a friendly greeting, found us a table , took drinks order, noticed when my friend arrived and came back to take drinks order for them. Food was lovely, wasn't too long to wait for it. Staff attentive but not overly bothersome checking in to see if we needed more drinks, dessert. Ample parking. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Hereford , good pub grub, friendly staff, nice decor, clean and tidy place.

Very welcoming and seated us immediately for food and drinks. Meg our waitress was very helpful as i require GF and there was a separate menu which I found to be full of choice. Food was lovely and I recommend.

We were served in a very timely manner by an extremely pleasant young man. He was very polite and gave us excellent customer service.

The service at the Cock of Tupsley is first rate from the welcome at the door to the service at the table and to the farewell's at the end of the evening. The food is hot and always of a good pub standard and promptly served. Staff are attentive and very helpful and well managed. The offers are always welcome making Thursday 'steak night' an affordable treat. However, the decor is starting to look tired and worn and the carpark is seriously and annoyingly pot-holed which detracts for the whole, and otherwise enjoyable experience.

Excellent service by Reece, food was lovely and we were given all the time we needed for a family catch up.

Poor service Expensive drinks The waiter mentioned there’s no time to get something out of freezer meaning everything is frozen. It was New Year’s Eve it’s our local pub and no celebrations or welcoming was offered. Just turn up look at a menu in the dark eat and pay. Bar staff were unfindable when we waved to pay. My wife’s vegetarian taco nacho chilli meal was missing the chilli part how embarrassing that was for the waiter, manager, bar staff. Just a dreadful experience.

Lovely lads that served us, nothing was too much to ask, and seeing as it's the festive period and we're at work they were still very happy and cheerful. Was a lovely afternoon. Thank you x

After a 4 hour drive from London we were blown out by the Rose and Crown (not a regular so the 4 of you have to sit on a table for 2) we made our way to the Cock at Tupsley. Great welcome, excellent food and a good table where we could catch up with the family. Thank you guys for saving our evening.my daughter will be back.

There is a lack of staff here that impacts quality- the staff we met were really good but fighting a losing battle - the management need to get a grip -trying to do the impossible for the ungrateful is always going to hurt - the competition such as The Rosie are the winners.

Very pleasant atmosphere and staff. The menu, although offering Christmas dishes, still had a good balance of other choices. Although there were quite a number of customers there still appeared to be generous spacing of tables, and so did not appear crowded and the noise level was muted enabling conversations to take place without having to shout to make onesself heard. All in all, a very enjoyable experience.

The staff are well chosen. The Christmas atmosphere works extremely well. The food is of consistently high quality. It is a well run pub.

It used to be good, not sure what's changed but you can tell. I took my partner there and they got the food order wrong and refused to put it right, We had ordered a large mixed grill and they brought out a standard mixed grill. This is so simple to fix because they could have just brought out the extra items on a separate plate. Instead they insisted it was impossible to fix once they had served. Confused by this we asked why, they said we had ordered and paid for the standard mixed grill, so I even apologized for the mix up, and offered to pay extra, wouldn't do it. Then here is the kick in the teeth, got home and checked the bill, we had been charged for the large!! My partner complained online and they replied even trying to blame us again! I mean we had paid for it!! Oh well, that's life. Shame, used to be such a friendly place to go.

Friendly staff although very busy our waitress went above and beyond to interact with my 3 year old son it made his day.

We went up for lunch we were served straight away the lady who served us was fabulous nothing was too much trouble and the same for the young man who brought out our food the plate was piping hot and so was the food all cooked to perfection we both had steak and the same with our pudding piping hot and yummy would definitely go again ten out of ten for everything 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Update... We went back to give it a second chance & even then that was just as bad as the time before! Hunters chicken had no bacon or BBQ sauce, it was just chicken and cheese, missed another side and drinks yet again took more than 30 minutes. We eat here sometimes & have never had a bad meal, that is until today. We arrived just before 16:30 & didnt leave until 18:45. Drinks took more than 20 minutes to come, My partner asked for chicken in his curry, he didn't get it, one of my sides were missing off my plate, we asked for plain mac and cheese and pop corn chicken for my step son, that came with crispy onions and bbq sauce. We sent it back, so a fresh one could be cooked & no popcorn chicken came back. We were then waiting for well over 30 minutes for our desserts, even then the childs brownie came out with ice cream after we asked for it plain, whilst people arriving & ordering after us had their meals first. The bar manager then blamed the new staff team for the disastrous meal. Which, is no excuse! We had 20% off the meal, but it doesn't make up for it being my partners birthday & completely ruined the evening! I wouldn't usually complain so much, but tonight really was a shambles

Tonight was a treat for my wife, and I booked a table for 6.30pm . We were greeted and welcomed by a very pleasant member of the team, who showed us to our table. A couple of minutes later a young man introduced himself as our waiter and took our drinks order, duely bringing the drinks and taking our food order. The starters arrived a little later and was delicious, well cooked and very well presented. The main course was equally good and also well presented. We both enjoyed our short visit, and our food was excellent. The waiter was one of the best I have ever come across, being attentive, pleasant and polite at all times. Will certainly be back again soon.

We reserved a table for 12 and when we arrived, we found everything in good order. The waiter was a perfect gentleman and very efficient. He got all of the orders perfect and the food was prepared quite fast. He then checked back several times to see how we were doing. Very efficient and polite service. We will all be back in the future. We have never been disappointed in the service and quality of food.

Overall, fabulous, Really good staff - friendly, polite and most helpful.

Very clean premises, friendly and helpful staff, we were seated and had drinks in front of us within minutes. Kim was our waitress, and did an excellent job despite being busy with several other tables simultaneously. Our food was lovely, hot and tasty, honestly have nothing bad to say!

Chicken and bacon salad was very tasty - succulent chicken with crispy bacon. Gorgeous salad! Chicken tikka masala was also excellent. Great value with 30% off! Meg was very attentive. Couldn't have been better!

On arrival we were welcomed in, shown to a table, restaurant is very clean Our waitress was Cait and she was polite professional and provided great service with a smile the restaurant bar and toilets are so tidy and clean Staff are so friendly nothing is too much trouble and I could see around me they have repeat customers Food was delivered in good time and was lovely.

Called in for food....2 staff on and reasonably busy...seated promptly. Ordered gammon and a mixed grill, turned out they had no mixed grill but was offered a 8oz steak and gammon instead, really nice....the manager really pleasant and chatty but not overpowering, gave us 30% off bill as they had an offer on main meals....

Can get busy but has some nice staff which make a treat meal worth it here. Great for families

Was told there was a wait for food for 45 mins. We said ok got to are table the wait other 15 mins before even a drinks order was taken then we wait another 20 mins and still no drinks or a food order being taken so we would had been the over a hour before even get are food so we decided to go somewhere else
