Great place Shame they have shut down the Beefeater best breakfast anywhere it was always busy as well. Don't know about building a breakfast place inside the hotel seems barmy to me they should take out all the baths & put showers inn. The riims are getting a bit tired still good though

poor food not worth the price. dry chicken leg practically inedible. Caesar salad was drowned in vinegar. The woman serving food from the kitchen to waiters was very unprofessional. she threw food and plates, forgetting that customers would eat it. If food is served this way, I don't want to know how it is prepared. I don't recommend this place

We stayed here for one night and can only say it was absolutely superb. The staff were lovely and served us dinner even though we arrived after the kitchen had closed. The building is full of character and history and the service was highly recommended. I especially liked the bar as there were both hotel guests and friendly local customers there and it really made us feel part of the village. It is only a few minutes walk to Goodrich castle, which is well worth a visit. I loved this place and Will definitely return soon.
