The best restaurants in Bournville Birmingham West Midlands

Tasty food but a little on the pricey side, especially the drinks. Eorth it though all in all, portions were generous. The tastiest dish was the BBQ aubergine. Other feedback is why serve the tiniest piece of lime? And why use paper pots for the sauce? Bit weird you have to pay before you eat, sort of discourages you to order more, drinks, dessert etc. Will come back though to try other dishes that look good. Nice buzzy atmosphere and good attentive service. Thank you 🙂‍↕️

Lovely little restaurant with very friendly staff. This was our second time here. Nice small menu with seasonal and fresh ingredients and enough options for a vegetarian. Good selection of wines and some cocktails as well. Very nice place for small groups or couples who like to taste different flavours and share small plates. Would definitely recommend!

Great brewery tap room. Extremely busy with the rugby being on the projector screen - would be nicer I imagine in the week. Good selection of beers on tap and friendly staff. Pizza trailer looked good.

Really very lovely! The turmeric fish curry and the chocolate coconut ice cream afterwards were both delightful, and the service pleasant. I’d happily be back. It was noisy, but to be expected from being in a small space on a Saturday night, and it’s easy to see why it’s generally so packed out every time I walk past. I probably wouldn’t try orange wine again, but that’s on personal preference and no reflection on the restaurant - the other drinks looked great, as did the level of choice. Hope to come back to try the peanut butter & marmite cauliflower soon. Thanks folks!

Nice food but don’t appreciate being told to “hurry up and order” within 5 mins of sitting down (at 7.30!) nor being handed bill before we had finished nor waiters vacuuming around us while we were still eating NOR being told “ you have to leave now as we are closing” at 9.25! Not a place to go for a night out that’s for sure. Nice food, Rude staff - will never be back !

The food arrived fresh, hot, and packed with incredible flavors—just as if it were served straight from the kitchen. Every dish was prepared with great care, using high-quality ingredients that made each bite delicious. What truly stood out, though, was the amazing service. The staff were incredibly kind and professional, ensuring my order was accurate and tasty. They even extra condiments when asked on phone, which made the experience feel even more special. It’s rare to find a restaurant that excels in both food and service, even for delivery, absolutely nailed it. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely be ordering again soon! Amazing staff…

Absolutely smashing little Cafe! Quality ingredients at affordable prices. Me and my hubby loved our Breakfast a few days ago and will definitely be returning. £15 for 2 breakfasts and 2 teas, Fried breath and bread and butter AND 2 sausages on the small breakfast each along with bacon, egg beans and Tom's all cooked to perfection... Loved it Thanks ladies ❤️🫶

No sabíamos qué esperar cuando fuimos a Caneat, pero estábamos en Stirchley, así que fuimos allí. Tuvimos problemas nada más llegar no teníamos teléfono pero para saber qué había en el menú había que escanear un código QR o unirse a la cola de gente esperando para pedir (el menú estaba en el mismo i pad) Pedí un café informando que tenía alergia a los lácteos, así que tomé un café de avena que estaba bueno, un poco de tostadas y mermelada con una orden de acompañamiento de tocino que se sacó con mantequilla, a pesar de que les dije que tenía alergia a los lácteos que lo devolvieron y lo cambiaron por no lácteos. Mi compañero pidió las judías de la casa que realmente disfrutó. Mientras esperaba nuestra comida visité el baño yo estaba 2o en la cola , la primera persona se hartó de esperar y volvió a su mesa . Eventualmente un miembro del personal salió del baño y yo entré. Había un cubo de agua sucia con el trapeador en él el piso estaba mojado, pero mi principal queja era que no había nada con qué lavarse las manos aunque había señales encima del fregadero para lavarse las manos, entonces, ¿qué usó el miembro del personal? Le dije a la empleada detrás del mostrador que no había jabón y ella me roció las manos con lo que parecía el spray de mesa. La acepté para rociarme las manos porque no quería comer mi comida sin manos sin lavar. Volví al baño antes de irme y todavía no había lavado de manos allí. Voy a dar 0 - 5 para la higiene. No volvería a visitar debido al cuidado inaqucate de las alergias y el estándar de higiene.

He ordenado desde aquí dos veces, y las dos veces la comida sabía increíble, y llegué rápidamente. Sin embargo, en la segunda ocasión pedimos una porción de poppadoms (supuestamente suficiente para 2 personas) pero solo recibimos 3. Por supuesto, esto fue bastante confuso. Además de esto, en el primer pedido que hice, disfruté tanto del tofu korma que lo volví a pedir. La salsa era la misma, pero el tofu era un tipo diferente que no me gustó tanto (bocanadas de tofu en lugar de tofu firme). No había nada que indicara que el tipo de tofu varía en el sitio web. Dicho esto, todavía disfrutamos nuestra comida de la sala de balti, y ordenaríamos nuevamente a pesar de esto. Pero no contaría con que la porción de poppadom sea precisa, y tal vez elegiría un plato sin tofu.
