Food is always amazing ! Had the new fish curry 2nite and it was 100% i cant fault it ..kiswar and the staff are happy and attentive , Give it a try guys you wont be dissapointed and dont be scared 2 ask for something off the menu , they aim to please , 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

This was the best Indian food I have ever eaten. That alone makes it worth coming back to Birmingham. The service is just as good as the food. Everyone is very warm and accommodating.

Realmente disfruté de nuestra visita en marzo, la comida era preciosa, muy sabrosa, sin duda volveré a visitar o serán mi nuevo ir para una comida para llevar.

Patiala es nuestro lugar de Stirchley para un curry. Hemos probado muchos restaurantes en la zona, pero la calidad de la comida aquí, es en nuestra opinión, es muy superior. Esperas un poco más a que llegue la comida a la mesa, pero se nota que todo está cocinado a partir de fresco y algunas cosas definitivamente vale la pena esperar. El personal también es muy amable y servicial.

What as really lovely restaurant, food was hot, tasted great, all round excellent.

Had the Bengal Naga Chicken. It was really amazing feels like it made at home and the service was top class. I'll definitely come again.

Decent looking restaurant, tried the lamb shank and keema chilli naan. I had to send the shank back to make it more spicy as I couldn’t taste anything. The naan was really good but the shank was disappointing even after making it more spicy. The mocktails were terrible, hardly any flavour and I wouldn’t really call them Mocktails. Overall good service but food was disappointing.

10/10 cannot recommend this place highly enough! The food was amazing, I had the lamb chops to start, North Indian garlic chilli chicken with naan and chips. Cannot complain at all. Service was outstanding and it was a great atmosphere.

Genuinely had a really good time I’m not the one to do Google reviews but the food was amazing I had the lamb shank and the flavours and portion quality was unmatched. Would definitely recommend it with the Pilau Rice as a side.

No puedo culpar a Patiala en absoluto. La comida es fresca, deliciosa y abundante. Acabo de volver a casa de otra excelente comida en Patiala. Lamp chops starter y Khazana Cordero con arroz pilau para mi principal. Hay una gran variedad de carnes, pescados y platos vegetarianos en el menú. Pero lo que hace que la visita sea aún más especial es el personal. Estos chicos son muy amables y genuinamente interesados en cómo eres. Nada es demasiado problema para ellos. El lugar está impecable y las mesas están bien dispuestas y no hay mucha gente. No sabes lo que te estás perdiendo si no le das una oportunidad a Patiala. Y si prueba la comida aquí, le garantizo que volverá por más.

I cannot fault Patiala at all. The food is fresh, delicious, and plentiful. Just got back home from another excellent meal at Patiala. Lamp chops starter and Khazana Lamb with pilau rice for my main. There is a great choice of meats, fish, and vegetarian dishes on the menu. But what makes the visit even more special is the staff. These guys are really friendly and genuinely interested in how you are. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The place is spotless and tables are well laid out and not crowded. You don’t know what you’re missing if you don’t give Patiala a try. And if you do try the food here, I guarantee you will be back for more.

Staff always helpful and friendly. Multiple allergies and different requirements with people who went and was looked after alot.

What an evening. Words cannot describe the vegetable dhansak that I have just had the pleasure of consuming. The roti to accompany was absolutely spot on 🤩

Ha sido un cliente habitual en los últimos años. La comida siempre excelente pero las últimas dos veces el servicio ha sido muy deficiente, anoche esperó hora y media a que llegara nuestra comida. Parece que el servicio para llevar tiene prioridad. Espero que tengamos una mejor experiencia la próxima vez.

We had a dinner with my friend’s family. Food was extremely tasty. We had kebabs, plain & cheesy naan 👌

Gran lugar para comer. Recomiendo encarecidamente el pollo chana afgano y el arroz con coco. El personal era muy amable y servicial.

Starters were very nice & well presented. Mains were huge! Wife had lamb shank which she said was lovely although quite fatty. I had Afgani Chana which was very nice. Id never seen this dish before! It was quite early so not many others in & very quiet. Staff were very friendly, we will be back.

A very friendly and professional restaurant. Food was a great , I had onion Baji and Lamb Jaipur. Both excellent. Drums were played, sorry not sure of the name, they added to a great night. No alcohol licence here but you can bring your own drinks.

We went last night , restaurant was full yet the food was just amazing as always. Yes we had to wait longer than normal but it was so worth the wait The couple that went with us, it was their first time and they just loved their meal, we have been numerous times, it's our favorite Indian restaurant in Stirchley Well done to all of the staff

Thought I’d give this place a go and I’m glad I did. I ordered the chicken tikka masala, seekh kebab and chips. Portions were generous sizes and the chips were cooked to perfection which is sometimes hit and miss with an Indian restaurant. Will definitely be ordering again - was very impressed with the food. 👍 curry was also sublime.

We had a meal for two via Uber eats. Sorry Guys the food wasn’t great, I’ve had better curried ready meals from Asda. The chicken tikka masala which I’d never normally order as I prefer balti, was far too sweet. It’s tasted like someone had dropped ketchup and pineapple into the pot but then over puréed the bright dark orange sauce; leaving lumps of overcooked chicken, possibly pre-made on skewer. The lamb sagwala was watery and needed more salt and more flavour, for that matter. The samosas tasted like supermarket ones, made with filo pasty instead of the authentic flour but also lacked flavour. No free popadoms were included. My guess is, no one Asian actually works in the restaurant, that is from Indian or Pakistani heritage. I feel that my savoury craving has been completely underwhelmed. I’ll attempt to eat some dry roasted peanuts, instead.

As with a lot of things, people get stuck into a rut with their choice of restaurant. A friend recommended Patiala and we were not let down! The food came out piping hot. Naan breads were obviously fresh as the cheese was still molten when it came to the table. The sauces/chutneys with the poppadoms were standard fare. But the starter and main was just delicious. I went for the salmon tikka starter and foolishly/wisely(?) went for the Bengal Naga Chicken. It was spicy, but so tasty. Service was exceptional. Restaurant was nice and welcoming. I will definitely be going back here.

Great dining experience here at Patiala with excellent service and top quality food. Waiting time was a little long but that is not necessarily a bad thing as we were a large party. Good prices too so what’s not to like 10 out of 10 from me

A new favourite!! Among a wealth of options in Stirchley Patiala is well worth a try. The restaurant is clean and Inviting with a great large dining space. The team are super friendly and were there for anything we needed. The food was ace! From perfect poppadoms to a range of dishes with a good amount of spice and flavour for all. While an absolute minimum, the nanny bread is noteworthy, simple but done extremely well. We'll definitely be back!!

Visited on weekend and the restaurant was not much busy. The food was tasty and the service was good. Prices were reasonable too.

Food is just ok. Ordered Raita with cucumber, which they haven't put any effort to taste it good. I would have ordered curd and added cucumber pieces by myself. Chicken Tikka and Palak panner was OK. Keema paratha was salty, chappati was big in size but too thick for me.

A tasty restaurant with plenty of options and very large portions at a very reasonable cost. The six of us were staying locally so an easy stroll away. The starters were excellent and very plentiful. The only slight issue is that the restaurant does not have an alcohol licence so you have bring your own if you want to accompany your meal with that.

Food was very nice with good service. As with North Indian/Bengal cuisine there is a high emphasis on spice which can be lowered on request. On time of this review the restaurant was under work knocking a few points for atmosphere. Overall this is worth a try if you want to try Traditional Bengal Cusine.

First time here and was very impressed with the quality of the food and service. Pleasant and modern decor and menu varied and reasonably priced. You can take your own drinks, would certainly recommend and will be going again.

A fantastic meal at this place a while back, they are able to accommodate a wheelchair, with portable ramps to allow access to the disabled toilet, the staff were wonderful, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was enjoyable. We have already been back, and had an excellent time again

Imitaz is a ledge (legend) as to is the gaff , food is pukka , the place across the road is dead food , this place is decent reaching 100 word word count.

Lived in Brum for over 20 years, been to all the ‘best’ curry spots in that time but hands down - these guys are the top of the tree. Really good menu, original dishes & most importantly it’s CONSISTENTLY amazing. Service may be a little slow when busy but that’s because they’re cooking very, very good food & that takes time. Personal faves are the mixed grill for a starter & the Jaipuri Lamb but the whole menu is terrific.

Fantastic charity quiz evening. The restaurant pulled out all the stops for us to support the charity. Food and service both excellent, they really couldn't have been better

The food is amazing, so many tastes and flavours, you need to take your own alcohol, you can get a limited range of soft drinks, service is good with plenty of room for covid restrictions. Takeaway service is very reliable. Give it a try, but book first.

Waited an hour after we ordered for our mains to arrive. On watching other tables (what else are you going to do for an hour?)everyone was served in order so the staff kept everyone waiting the same amount of time. Did the staff apologise for the delay? Nope! Was the food worthy of an hours wait? Well, it was good when it arrived. The waiter did say they were busy(have they seen Akrams on a Saturday evening?). When you have a lot of good restaurants nearby Patiala need to up their game, especially the service.

Poor service long wait times and staff not attentive to getting drinks topped up when ran out they aren’t very welcoming and it’s cold

Took 15 minutes to be seated, 45 minutes to be served, 2 hours for food to arrive, 30 minutes to get the bill, and not one apology of any kind. Worst service I've ever experienced in a restaurant. Food was nothing spectacular, and was definitely not worth a 3 hour wait!! If the kitchen can't handle the capacity of the restaurant then they shouldn't have so many tables. Simple Maths. Will not be returning here again.

Only popped in to order a takeaway but plans changed so dined in ok my own. Staff were really friendly and suggested having the Achari Chicken. It was superb, really enjoyed the dish. Will be returning with the family as was really impressed.

Great little spot, first visit and we’ve made another booking just before xmas. Bring your own bottle, very reasonably priced dishes and excellent throughout. Personally, I had the mixed grill but still wanted to try another dish, they halved the price and the portion for me, no problem.

Used to have really nice biryani and they used to make it spicy when we asked now they don't even when you ask but now it just tastes okay. Their curries tastes okay, again they don't make it spicy when asked for. Don't really go there anymore!

Soloman is a great host and always makes my visit enjoyable

Service was insanely slow. We had been there 20 mins before we got a menu, another 30 before anyone took our order, 1.40 from arrival before we got any food. Nearly half an hour to get the bill paid. To be honest they're lucky we waited to pay it at all-not sure they'd have noticed us go. Over 3 hrs there in total, which left very little time for the rest of our night. Food was ok, nothing to write home about. Won't return.

Great service of a fantastic curry. Staff helpful and attentive.

I was dining alone, and the staff really looked after me, especially Hussein. The King prawn puri I had was superb, followed by the Salmon mumtaz. The cooking is "homestyle", so the masala sauces are thick and not salty and clearly made fresh on the day. The ambiance was just lovely as well. I will come back next time I am in the area.

Excellent service and the food was to match

First visit here after reading some of the reviews on social media. Went on a Monday evening so was very quiet, but I beleive weekends require a booking as they get very busy. Food and service were excellent. All very fresh and presented well. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful. Will definately go back

Really friendly staff. Food is incredible. They allowed us to try the phaal sauce, alongside our main meals and it went down a treat. Reasonably priced and a nice fresh, chilled ambience. Highly recommended 👌
