Went out for my husbands birthday, had a lovely meal with the family. Perfect spice and food quantity was perfect. Will defo be back again soon

Edit 30/09/24: Namaste have actually had the audacity to not cancel the transaction on their end after failing to provide the service at all. I am having to dispute the charge with my bank. Truly awful service and still no word back from the restaurant. It's been over two hours since ordering online for delivery with no food in sight. I have been on the phone with them twice - I was polite each time and they assured me they would complete the order quickly. Still no sign of food and now they appear to be ignoring calls. As it stands, my Mum's birthday takeaway has been ruined. I will edit to update if the restaurant bothers to get back to me at any point. Edit to add: It's been two and a half hours, and "calls to this number are being diverted". We have been forced to order from somewhere else for fear of resorting to cannibalism in the depths of our hunger. Second edit: Between the moment a member of staff assured me they'd get back to me with an ETA and now, I lost the will to live, ordered from a different restaurant, ate from different restaurant, reached midlife, met my soulmate, got married, had a late child through IVF, retired, saw my daughter off to university, grew old, and am now sat on a rocking chair on my porch watching the sun set. Oh, and Namaste is now closed without ever having gotten back to me. I expect a full refund. All restaurants have issues from time to time, but this was handled appallingly. They had multiple opportunities to apologise and say they weren't able to complete my order, and failed to do so. If you're considering ordering from here don't bother, just order from somewhere else.

During our holiday in the UK from Australia, one of our friends highly recommended Namaste Sutton when we mentioned our craving for Indian and Nepali cuisine. Based on that recommendation, we decided to give it a try, and I must say, it was one of the best dining experiences we've ever had. The service was prompt, the ambiance was warm and inviting, and the food was simply outstanding. We had absolutely no complaints, and we are definitely going to recommend this place to anyone visiting Birmingham. Namaste Sutton is a must-visit!

I have been a couple of times and every time I go I never get disappointed. The food is piping hot and tastes absolutely delicious. The service is fantastic from start to finish and the staff are very attentive.

The Lamb Rogan Josh was rich and flavorful, with tender lamb in a delicious curry. Their range of Indian-flavored curries was authentic and delicious. The best part? Ordered food by uber eats. Very poor quality, they gave frozen veggies with poorly cooked gravy. Horrible taste.

Dined here on 21st, the poppadoms ordered were promptly served as was the excellent meal of lamb curry and rice. The restaurant was busy demonstrating the excellent food and service . Service was superb and prompt from the friendly staff and the restaurant manger came over to ask if the meal was ok. An excellent dining experience, I will definitely return soon.

This Indian-Nepali restaurant is an absolute gem! The chicken jalfrezi was hands-down the best I've ever had—packed with flavor, perfectly spiced, and cooked to perfection. After visiting here a couple of months ago where the food was excellent and service too. We decided to take our friends last night (Sat 21st). We were served some dips and poppadoms with no plates . Then the manager came over to take our food order and we said we'd got no plates for poppadoms. He went and got some then took our order. We had to ask where our food was after nearly an hour of waiting. No one once came asked us if we wanted a drink. Staff don't seem to be allocated areas. They are more interested in the takeaways. Manager was taking phone orders for them instead of watching staff! They said there was a technical issue with their card machine and that we had to pay in cash... ..how were they taking takeaway orders on the phone??? When the meal finally arrived we all thought it was really good. No one came over to check if everything was ok or if we wanted any drinks!! After finishing the main meal they cleared the plates away not asking if we would like dessert or coffee. We sat there for 40 mins after our meal not once did anyone come over. We certainly didn't leave a tip and 1 star for service is too high. Unfortunately, we won't be going again. We were hoping to take a group of 10 friends but we certainly won't be now.

Genuine Indian food in Sutton. The biryani is aromatic and tastes authentic. If you're looking for a good biryani, I would recommend it. Curries are good as well.

I love going here. Tried alot of restaurants...but being.indian myself my whole family give this 5.stars for everything. There another 5 Indian restaurants walking distance..tried them but you can't.get close to this.

Had an amazing meal at Namaste for my dad's birthday. The staff were professional and welcoming and are very accommodating to any changes you want (hotter / milder etc). The service was fast and everything came out promptly. The food itself was fantastic! I had Chili Prawn for starters and a King Prawn Tikka Masala for main with a garlic and chili rice and it was some of the best food I've eaten in a while. Clean plates all round! All on all, we all had a great evening. We will definitely be going back again.

We attended a party. Starters were ok. Mains other than dal makhani were mediocre. Gulab jamoon was good boy ice cream was substandard. Our overall experience was a bit disappointing.

We hired the restaurant for the whole evening for 100+ people. Starting from inquiry to post party, everything went on smoothly. The manager is very cordial, humble and listens to ask our suggestions and gives timely suggestions. The ambience was tailor made for us. The food was scrumptious. The party was rocking and all our friends enjoyed.

Namaste Sutton is truly a special and authentic Nepalese restaurant. The manager Khaki who was very kind and hospitable, made our family birthday celebration for our father's 70th birthday very special. The table was situated perfectly behind a beautiful atmospheric floral decor and we cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The food was exceptionally prepared, bursting with flavours. We had an incredible time and we shall be revisting again very soon. Thanking the manager Khaki and his amazing team! 🙂

Had my 40th birthday here for my family of 22 and it was set up perfectly and beautifuly the staff and especially manager are awesome and are true to there word the food and experience was breathtaking this is my go to place now for amazing food and service and quality. Please people I highly recommend that you try Namaste Sutton !! You won’t regret it !!

I’m from an Indian family in Birmingham so I’ve been to many Indian places around Birmingham but none of them have topped Namaste because the food is freshly made rather than pre-made stuff which a lot of other Indian places do. This makes a big difference to the food and the price is also the same as the other places in Birmingham but this time it’s for better quality food .

orders food at 19:56 with an estimated delivery time of 20:20-20:40, delivery time kept getting extended and couldn't contact restraint at got like busy (tried over 50 times), eventually I drove to the restraint after an over an hour and 40 minutes of waiting to find the driver leaving the restraunt. Extremely slow service with no way of communicating as phone line was always busy.

Waited another 35 mins after receiving notice to collect. Food was good but timing misleading. Hate to think how long delivery would have been.

Always a great meal at Namaste. Service is always good and this is one place where you can guarantee they aren’t using the same base for each curry! So flavourful and varied. We regularly get take out but do take the opportunity to dine in when possible. They could really do with a lift as it’s not disability friendly in that sense.

It's a first time been here in namaste Sutton restaurant. I had one of the best experiences. What a lovely food and service. What a great staff with their happy faces. Great combination of Nepalese n Indian food. Lots of options for vegetarian and non vegetarian. Truly fell in love with this place. Will recommend this place.you will not get disappointed. Excellent food and service will definitely visit again

We had a table for 19 and the restaurant was able to join 2 large round tables in the middle of thr restaurant, which was ideal for our family celebration. Everyone's food was amazing. Good quality food amd staff always asking if all was OK. Excellent restaurant and will use more often.

I just want to start off by saying this place is great for both vegetarian and non vegetarian because of the variety of options. This was by far one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The food was absolutely delicious, the flavours were unique and authentic, we will definitely eat here again. Besides the food, I wanted to place special emphasis on the high quality of service we received from the staff. They gave us great recommendations and were attentive and friendly. I can’t compliment them enough!

I don't normally review places negatively. But we called earlier in the day to try make a booking for 10 people in the evening. Instead of politely letting us know that it's too short notice etc, the person on the phone (I assume manager).began berating and shouting at us for calling in so late and how he would have no staff to cater for us. Great, what a lovely gentleman. Not. Avoid this place like the plague, if the staff are this rude then can only imagine the other issues. Namaste in Wolverhampton not only were able to accommodate us, but we're so incredibly nice that I will be leaving a seperate review for them. Bad business practise and incredibly poor way of speaking to potential customers.

Honestly, the food was quite bad. One of the worst experiences I have had. The only saving grace were the employees who were genuinely nice!

My first visit with a friend, Saturday early afternoon was all quiet, but few arrived after us, Lovely & great menu on offer, the staff and manager are really nice & enjoying to serve you well, Our starter choice of Masala chai, fruit drink, tap water, & popadums served with various chutneys was absolutely a delicious start, Next, our choice of peshwari naan & Grizzler platter with various meats was also absolutely delicious, the large chicken cubes and couple of king prawns were amazing, unfortunately the kebabs were not at all tasty or exciting, If you are sensitive to taste, i would request if kebabs can be replaced with chicken or king prawns, The grizzler is served with lots of onions only, but no chips, The peshwari naan is served in 4 lovely pieces with lovely orange stuffing of coconut, The price was good for the great quality of fresh tasting food they serve.

Visited this place many times and i can’t say enough how perfect everything is from the atmosphere, the service, down to the food and flavours. upon entering we were greeted by Karki who was AMAZING. he looked after us the whole evening, made sure we had our food on time, checked if everything was okay, they go above and beyond for you for whatever you want from choice of seating, to customising your order. Will be visiting again for sure, this is definitely a hidden gem in Birmingham and more people need to visit & deserves a lot more reviews! if your looking for a cosy evening with good food and good vibes this is the place. I would recommend the Chili chicken and sharing platter 10/10 flavours and prices were very very reasonable for how flavoursome the food was.

Another fabulous meal at Namaste, 8 of us went and sat at one of the lovely oval tables. Staff were attentive and polite, food was excellent and each dish had its own unique taste and flavour. Lots of options for the vegetarians too. They catered so well for my wife who is allergic to chilli and is always nervous about Indian food as some restaurants ignore her requests or she ends up with something tasteless. Namaste thankfully are the exception, serving a delicious salmon dish full of flavoured but without any heat, that she said was the best Indian food she had ever eaten. Thanks again we will definitely be returning.

Ten of us enjoyed the authenticity of the combination of Nepalese and Indian food which was rich in flavour without the excess oil and grease. We tried each others food and all agreed it was flawless. The texture of the chicken and lamb was perfect. The spices were fresh. The staff were incredibly welcoming, happy, smiling and want to genuinely take care of you and want you to feel great. The decor and layout had a premier, upmarket feel to it. We were impressed enough to write this joint review. We will be back! Thank you to Karki the manager who went above and beyond to help us celebrate our occasion.

Carkey, his waiters/waitresses, his chefs & kitchen staff were all impeccably well-mannered and smart. An important component when choosing an Indian restaurant for me is where the chefs originate from as this determines the flavour. This restaurant is Gorkha/Nepali chefs (very similar cooking style to Punjabi chefs) and therefore the style of cooking i.e. how the torka is made i.e. with masalas, onions, chillies (all fresh NOT powder - I saw the kitchen) make for the perfect base for the dish itself. Possibily Sutton's only Gorkha/Nepali Indian restaurant :-)

Lovely service, was there for a 16th bday! Food was unique and so clean in terms of fresh, personal favourite was chicken tikka and the malai kofta. Finally the staff was so helpful in particilar karki was brilliant cannot wait to go again!

We were regular customers here but the more popular the restaurant has become the worse the service . Genuinely cannot fault the food it is excellent with a really varied menu but a little more expensive than most. We have taken many friends and family here and were always willing to recommend . However on the last 2 occasions the service has been appalling . Visited on a Saturday evening and it was busy but still feel a 45 minute wait for a starter is unacceptable. We put it down as a one off and went back the following Saturday . Shown to our table , after 20 minutes still hadn't even been asked for our orders . Had to ask 3 times to just be able to order drinks and be served poppadoms. Waited 25 mins just to order drinks and food . An hour and 15 minutes later our starters had not arrived . On 3 occasions we were told they were 2 minutes away but after an hour and 25 minutes we had had enough and walked out . The worst of it was a family on the next table who arrived 45 minutes later than us who were clearly known / related to staff were served starters 20 minutes after arrival we were still waiting . 1 person at the bar and a couple of waiters for a packed restaurant is just not enough . We will not be going back.

We visited tonight Saturday 16th with friends. Service not good never got greeted at door, got shown to table without offering menus. Had to ask if we can order drinks. Cannot fault food very tasty and good choice. Asked for bill and noticed they had over charged us for the drinks, we ordered 2 cobra got charged for 3, ordered 2 martini & lemonades got charged for 4 ( martini extra dry WAS NOT- IT WAS A SUBSTITUTE IN A MARTINI BOTTLE) WOULD THINK TWICE TO VISIT AGAIN ( too many mistakes, staff & manager need training).

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner to celebrate our daughter’s birthday here at Namaste. Lovely decor and atmosphere, and great staff, especially the manager Carkey who came to check everything was ok with our meal regularly and was very accommodating and friendly. They sung happy birthday to her along with a complimentary slice of cake, which was a nice touch. The service was great and no pressure about anything. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. A hidden gem and certainly worthy of a visit if you are in the area! Thank you 🙏🏽

We went there for my wife's birthday. Exceptional food. We had a sizzling platter for starters, jalfrezi, balti and biriyani as main courses. The quality is the best we have had in Sutton Coldfield and one of the best in the West Midlands. Table service was great, very warm and friendly people.

Our first visit to Namaste and we had a fantastic evening. The staff were friendly and welcoming and quickly showed us to our table. After being served our drinks, we ordered from the extensive menu. My partner, who is vegetarian, had a large choice of dishes to choose from. The food was excellent in all respects and we can see why the restaurant comes highly recommended by everyone. There was a busy and lively atmosphere on Saturday night, which further highlights how popular the restaurant is. The manager, Carkey, is doing a fantastic job and we are looking forward to our next visit.

We have visited Namaste several times in the past year and can happily say that we have received excellent service, enjoyed excellent food and drink in an extremely pleasant, modern style surroundings all at very reasonable cost. The food portions are plentiful and served piping hot and the style and spice levels remind me of the quality of the old Indian restaurants in Sutton and Birmingham back in the early 70's

Went with the family after my wife had gone with friends from work. They were all raving about how good the food and service had been. So I took the plunge and have to say it's good really good. The competition had better wake up these guys are good very good.

My favourite local indian-nepalese restaurant in the North side of the city. Food has depth of flavour, is beautifully presented and the setting is lovely. The valentines 4 course meal was of great value and choice and bucked the trend of rip off menu's v on this day. Really enjoyed it and will keep coming back.
