Fantastic place.. the service was amazing.. and the food has to be the best food around.. the place is huge inside, and very clean..you can see then chefs preparing your food which is a real positive for me.. the food came out so quickly.and the presentation was exceptionally. the lamb chops were the best we have ever eaten and the lamb curry on the bone was amazing.. all round I give this place a 10/10..the staff couldn't do enough for us.. so professional and courteous.. great place .. And to top it off they have screens showing sports..huge screens intact.. the amount of alcohol at the bar you are not going to be disappointed.. the best place for food and not over priced..

Recently had the pleasure of attending a school reunion / birthday party inside AMRIKS REMY MARTIN LOUNGE. It's a private dining area to the rear of the building. The decor is so impressive, the waterfall, cosy feeling, lighting even the sound system - importantly the area was warm and clean (high standards at The Royal Oak). Staff as always very professional and genuinely friendly. The food was phenomenal - top quality served fresh and hot with plenty of flavour that you can distinguish; not the usual cheap fodder heavily spiced to disguise poor quality. Amriks Remy Martin Lounge is perfect for larger gatherings whilst keeping an intimate atmosphere. Oh did I mention the area has a retractable roof, great for summer get togethers. I was too busy eating and greeting to take photos will do next time. 😃

Top notch Desi joint - best spot for food and sport in Birmingham !!

This place is brilliant, me and the wife travel around looking for the best mix grills to eat, we came across this place because the wife loves sidhu. The place itself was really clean and tidy, staff were brilliant they don’t keep running back to you every 2 mins asking if things are ok, the bar and kitchen are 2 separate business by the look of it, and you don’t start a tab here you pay as you order so for example if you get drinks you need to pay straight away when you order food you pay straight away which is a good setup but not if your planning on splitting the bill you will need to start money kitty. No waiters come to you when you want to order you need to goto the kitchen area and place your order then the servers will come and drop the food to your table. We ordered a mix grill and naan, the mix grill was really nice no chicken breast tho just thighs, am more of a breast person however the thighs were well cooked and tasted really nice, they were a bit tight with the lamb kababs 2 little bits only with the medium mix grill, the naan was really nice soft and fluffy. We will definitely be coming here again to try other foods on the menu.

Nice place but food is alright same league as the red lion west brom. I'm a seasoned mix grill eater, I know when I have come across a poor one. You charged me around 22 quid for a small mix grill and it was poor just like the sister pub four ways in Rowley Regis. I tried a new place Indian smokehouse in West brom pretty good.

We hired out the back section for my husbands birthday and wow what an experience it was. Fantastic food and great service. Nothing was too much for the staff here. Always happy to help. Big thank you to everyone for helping make his day special. Extra thanks to chef Vaneet and Sunny.

I came to Royal Oak many times , normally I don’t go to same place but over here my experience is amazing. Food is delicious here. Staff is very friendly. Can’t recommend enough. Very neat and clean place. Love to come here. Many thanks for all the staff for bringing me back again and again. 🙏🏻❤️

We visit the Royal Oak every week. The food is always fantastic and the service is very good. The staff are very accommodating and helpful, Chetna always looks after us. Would recommend you to come and try this place you will be very pleased.

Royal Oak exceeded my expectations! The Veg Manchurian was perfectly crispy and packed with flavor, the Veg Kofta Curry was rich and creamy, and the Lamb Curry and Chicken Tikka were cooked to perfection — tender, juicy, and full of spices. The Mix Grill was another highlight, offering a great variety of succulent meats, perfectly grilled. The staff were super friendly, and the restaurant had a lovely, cozy vibe. I’ll definitely be returning

What a fantastic place. We are Derby fans there on match day and what a brilliant experience we had. No wait for drinks, excellent service, brilliant staff and your pub is spotless. Even cleaning the toilets constantly. Well done to you all.

First time here on recommendation and it was brilliant. Some of the best Desi food I’ve ever had with top service and very clean throughout. The food was extremely tasty with lovely spice heat and even the sauces were the best. Highly recommended + a nice doggy bag for later yum.

This is the best place for the fans of late Sidhu Moose Wala, it was my first experience of what love and support is. The staff were amazing so was the food, all the staff were wearing Sidhu Moose Wala T-shirts, hoodies and the pub was full of his posters, motorcycle and other very nice memories. I really enjoyed my visit to the The Royal Oak

Had a stag party here last night! Group of 15 of us, all from different towns coventry, leicester, london, Peterborough and wolverhampton. All i can say it was 10/10 for the food, service, Atmosphere the whole vibe. Each dish had its own flavours! even on the mixgrill each different meat had its own taste NOT like your other mix grill places where everything is just red. Me and my two kids were here on Saturday 22nd February. We had travelled up to watch Oxford United play West Bromwich Albion. We came in here for a drink before the game on a mates recommendation. Have to say I wasn't disappointed. Friendly welcome and we were served quickly. Didn't have any food but it looked and smelled absolutely delicious. Definitely return again

This is by far the best mixed grill place in the West Midlands!!! If you are looking for a Desi pub/grill this is the place! The taste of the dishes, the quality of the ingredients are without a showdown of a doubt the finest! The lamb chops are amongst the meatiest I’ve ever eaten! The place is immaculate including the toilets which is always a good sign. The fact you can see the chefs at work visibly from the dining area is confidence inspiring. I drive 12 miles to go to this place and drive past 3 other desi pubs but it’s definitely worth the drive. Never been disappointed. The manager goes around tables ensuring everything is as it should be. A nice touch. Hands down much better than Soho tavern, Champey’s etc…..

Had the vegetarian options food was amazing. Portion sizes are great by the time I had finished starters I was full. Owner kept checking to see if we were happy with our food and the service. Place gets very busy. Parking can be an issue. Perfect for families

Ordered a pint of Peroni which was flat, not a big deal to me as I was only in there with a mate for a quick one killing time. We perched on the bar and when I was half way through the pint I got a tap on the shoulder from the bar man holding a fresh pint who replaced it due to the flatness of my pint. Fantastic service and well appreciated!

We have been to Royal Oak a few times now and keep coming back with our families because of the relaxed vibe, great food, and amazing, friendly staff. The food is always consistently good—we’ve never experienced any inconsistencies—and it tastes fantastic. It’s the best Punjabi food I’ve had! The dal makhani is my favorite—absolutely to die for. A special mention to Chetna, Archana, Monu, and Davinda, who are always efficient and incredibly friendly every time we visit.

Best mixy I've been too (and I've been to a lot). Mixed grill was actually fresh meat that wasn't overly spiced.

Flew into Birmingham from Germany, Munich and we headed for dinner to Royal Oak on day 1 itself. Royal Oak stands for - Finger licking yum food, Sidhu Moosewala Vibe and amazing hospitality!!! The Royal Oak on Holyhead Road is absolutely fab- a true Punjabi heritage treasure! We went there with my veerji and his family for a proper Punjabi meal—and honestly, it felt like we were back home in Punjab. The food was absolutely mind-blowing, hands down the best Punjabi cuisine we’ve had in the UK. The Sidhu Moosewala theme and music added such a brilliant vibe to the evening. Sunny and Davinder veere were amazing—they looked after us so well and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal to the fullest. We kicked things off with the Grill, Lamb Chops, and Chilly Chicken—each dish was full of authentic Punjabi flavours and cooked to perfection. The Paneer Tikka and Veg Manchurian were just as amazing. For the mains, the Dal Makhani paired with soft, buttery Garlic Naans was pure comfort food, straight out of a Punjabi kitchen. And the desserts? The Gulab Jamun and Gajar Halwa were just like what you’d get at a proper Punjabi wedding—sweet, rich, and absolutely delicious. The vibe of the place was proper lively—full of energy, warm hospitality, and so many smiling faces. Top-notch experience, 5 stars all the way

I have ordered starters like chicken wings and mutton biryani both are very nice and tasteful and best item is mutton biryani with gravy is much recommended and the place is comfy and beautiful and we can also have all kinds of drinks too

Thanks to the lovely Nepalese girl for her wonderful service ❤️ Mongolian soya was cut too small n fried in pakora type batter. Not to my taste n needs a sauce accompaniment. Masala chips aren't as nice as they were unfortunately. Husband, son loved their food, meat based, so a win. Oh prices have shot up too! There's a fine line between the popular grills n restaurants 🤔grills u generally serve yourself cutlery etc. Restaurants u don't need to, a proper sit in experience 😉

A good example of the 'desi pub' the food/value for money ratio is good. I've eaten here 3 times over as many years. The food is consistently good. But, its full of noisy football fans, I went on an evening when the local club were playing. I will avoid big match days in the future, for a more peaceful eating experience.

Amazing!! Can't believe we found this place, it's awesome, the food was amazingand was a decent price for 7 of us.

We 6 of us visited this place on Monday night out. The food quality was totally not up to standards as we have a mixed grilled but it was full of oil . This looks like meat was deep fried then put on coals to gave it a BBQ taste. Asked for tandoori roti and it was worst than tawa roti . Curries - chicken and lamb curry was full of raw onions and capsicums. It was more than an onion and capsicum curry rather than chicken and lamb curry. Asked for full salad and we get onions , carrets and green chillies in a plate and finally owner have got bit attitude problem. Sorry for any inconvenience

First time here, I have to say the starters were very average. Good clean venue but not the best mix grill I’ve had around here.

Unfortunately the butter chicken was not prepared and presented the authentic way , the gravy was fine but instead of tandoori pieces Chicken style goujons were served There was no garnish of cream / coriander / julienne of ginger at all

A good solid option for Tikka food. No parking except on the surrounding streets and on a very busy road; but nicely done out with plenty if flare and character. Being a big open space it is a bit noisy when busy, but nothing you wouldn't expect from a popular place. Food was good, price was about what you would expect to pay these days, ~£15-20 a head but the food scales well if in a larger group. Portions were decent. Drinks are expensive, but that seems to be the norm now too with Tikka and Grill places. All in all not a bad choice for a decent meal in a good setting.

We recently had our company Xmas party at Royal Oak. The food was outstanding especially chilli chicken, lamb chops and all the nan breads and curries. Great informal atmosphere for catch-up with colleagues, friends or family.

We ordered the food and Siri at the counter was super helpful as my niece has a nut allergy she was brilliant pointed out all the dishes that would be safe for her to eat. Siri even checked on us to make sure everything was ok. Thank you Siri for all your help 😊

Clean up the place properly, sticky tables, dirty cutlery is not acceptable, Food is average, but contact surfaces are terrible, on a positive some staff are very professional and others have a bad attitude and have to be told several times what you require, not impressed, and won't be returning.

Stopped in for a drink and small meal. Had Chicken Jalfrezi, spring rolls, samosa, cheese naan and roti. All dishes were good, freshly cooked and very tasty. Kitchen staff were helpful and friendly.
