Bournville Café in Birmingham

Absolutely smashing little Cafe! Quality ingredients at affordable prices. Me and my hubby loved our Breakfast a few days ago and will definitely be returning. £15 for 2 breakfasts and 2 teas, Fried breath and bread and butter AND 2 sausages on the small breakfast each along with bacon, egg beans and Tom's all cooked to perfection... Loved it Thanks ladies ❤️🫶

Okay for the usual cooked breakfast and a cup of tea. Menu is limited but fair price

Ordered via uber eats... food should not be sent in a carrier bag as it sweats. My toast (which should of been on crusty bread and wasnt) was damp from the carrier bag. The hash browns are cheap... hate being able to feel the fragments of hard potatoe! Wont be ordering from here again!

Wonderful corner shop cafe. 2 vegetarian breakfasts and an ordinary breakfast, all plates were cleaned with nothing left. We all really enjoyed it

Been here three times now so reasonable to expect what I'm seeing is the deal Nice food, well prepared and looks good when it comes out so well done chef, no individual meals mentioned as been with work colleagues every time and a mixture of orders. Service with a smile from the counter team. And absolutely sure we will be back

Stopped here for an all day breakfast, after visiting Cadbury World, wasn't disappointed, staff were very friendly and helpful, very busy around lunchtime but everything cooked fresh and quickly and got the hot drinks straight away. 5 stars from my wife and myself

Ordered 2 sandwiches had to put on my own sauce from a cheap packet bacon was dry come to 10.15 which at most cafes I can get 2 full breakfast for that price not good value for money

Proper Cafe, old school, great choice of English tucker, fry ups, sandwiches, Currys, chilli and probably even salad.. Lovely ladies here, they close around 3pm, the chips sold out when we were there, they looked awesome too..

So very good. Love everything about it. Opening time need to be watched as they close about 2pm, after lunch I guess. So check first so you're not disappointed.

I pop in whenever I can. Food here is reasonably priced and in my opinion, the best in Bournville and the surrounding area. A 'proper' cafe with friendly service, where nothing is too much trouble. Also free WiFi. What's not to like?

We always get our once a week work treat day from here. They are golden all the staff are fab and we always enjoy our sarnies. Support a local business and avoid Greggs and go here instead 👍🏻

I ordered on UberEats. Jacket potato with chicken curry. I was tracking the driver who picked up my order who then drove off to a dead end. Then made his way to me. The food turned up with the carrier bag just tied shut. The food or the bag wasn’t sealed. So I feel like either the driver has helped himself to my food or you only get 2 pieces of chicken on the spud. The potato was full of black bad bits. Defo not worth £11 with delivery. I feel you should seal your food correctly before sending it out.

Girl on the till hadn't a clue. It was clean. Food was just nasty. I was starving had the full English. Sausage were cheap bacon cheap salty fried bread and mushrooms under cooked tinned tomatoes beans cheap no toast tea in a mug like tar not for me no extra milk. Wife had eggs fried only undercooked mushrooms beans and burnt cheap brown toast. A latte from a packet not stired loads of bits in it. Not a pleasant experience won't be going back

I like a breakfast or a brunch and also visit new (to me) venues. I was therefore keen to visit the Bournville Cafe after a very positive recommendation from a couple of my friends. On entering the establishment one immediately felt that the experience was going to be positive. The cafe was light, airy and spotless with some nice decorations and super toilets. Rachel, who has been in house for about five years, and Emma were cheerful and welcoming. Cups of tea were order whilst we read the blackboards to decide what to have. The mega breakfast was a bridge too far and so I decided on the large breakfast: sausage, bacon, egg, beans, tomatoes,mushrooms, black pudding and fried bread together with toast and butter, and my wife close the small breakfast which had smaller portions and no mushrooms or black pudding listed although she did get some mushrooms. A few minute wait and the breakfasts arrived with everything looking as though it had been cooked to perfection with the bread and butter forming a mountain. As was anticipated the food tasted as good as it looked and to make a reasonable dent in the toast and butter Rachel provided us with some jam. I am really looking forward to visiting again as I rate the Bournville cafe amongst the very best that I have visited in Birmingham and the good news for me is that the number 27 bus stops right outside. Thoroughly recommended.

Visited for the first time on Saturday. Definitely not my last. It was brilliant. Food choices and prices were great. The place itself is clean and welcoming. The staff were lovely and friendly.

If I could leave zero stars I would!! Walked in asked a staff member if there was a menu to be told its on the wall at the till, that's fine. It's the way the battalax said it! Too busy flirting with middle aged builders and ears dropping on other people's conversations. The woman was rude clearly didn't want custom. We left immediately without even ordering. Customer service is always number 1. Staff have a bad attitude and ill be surprised if the cafe is open next year they litterly force u 9ut the door

Hidden gem just off Stirchley High Street!

Tasty fresh full breakfast with moist black pudding and really fresh bread and really yellow eggs. Good to see families in there as well as usual white van brigade. Will be back !

Cosy place. Hostorically interesting, great decor with inspiratioal posters and plants. 2 layers.Staff indifferent. High Step up to the top area. Reasonable price. Healthy breakfast was good. Though there was wifi i was told the staff didnt know password. Only one toilet which was blocked at first then filthyy with water and blood on the floor. No sanitary bin so used sanitary towel was on top of ordinary rubbish bin.

Very organised and competent staff working here. We arrived as a large group (around 20 people) without prior notice, and all of our orders were perfect and their regular customers were also being served quickly as well. The food was also good and very reasonably priced! Would definitely return again if I'm in the area.

Tasty Vegetarian breakfast. Unfortunately I have to change my 4 star review from 8 months ago because the takeaway I had today was disappointing, in fact I had to throw the Hash brown away because it tasted off (see photo). Also disappointed with amount of brown sauce they gave me.

Nice family run business, could improve on the service as they sometimes forget part of your order but will fix it when mentioned. only problem is I ordered one meal with normal sausages and one with vegetarian sausages but both were the exact same, and the vegetarian meal they put bacon in aswell.. so I wouldn't rely on it if you're vegan or vegetarian. food is great though

The very loud woman behind the counter who couldn’t spell. She’s obviously doing the Facebook post’s. Food was okay hadn’t been for 3 years since last owner would recommend for him to come back. It’s we’re open not Wer! Learn to spell. Hi I have been in to notice that the loud staff and notice that the food had gone down and the other person should be back.

An unassuming local cafe serving freshly prepared cooked food, fried breakfasts and sandwiches. I had a vegetarian sausage sandwich and regular coffee. Very clean premises in street off a main road. The lovely friendly ladies made me welcome on my first visit here. Will be back.

I've spent years going around having posh breakfasts in places like Lewis's in Moseley and the Plough in Harborne which are nice enough, but you know the sort of place... Twelve quid for a breakfast and the beans come in a little pot. Those establishments have their place but if you want a belting fry-up to set you up for a long day, I don't think you can go wrong with the tradition caff, and Bournville Cafe is a very good one. Friendly but not too friendly, good prices and fantastic grub with proper fried bread. Try getting a slice of fried in the Plough!

Large breakfast, only one rasher of bacon? Sausages were poor quality ! Bread and butter ? Was that really BUTTER ??
