Lake, 86 Spine Rd E, Cirencester GL7 5TL, United Kingdom, England
We had a coffee before getting on the water. The coffee was great and the setting was lovely. We really enjoyed having a coffee while waiting for our reservation
Have visited here twice now, and it’s such a little gem. The cafe food is delicious and decent portions. If visiting with more than 2 it might be worth booking a table in advanced
12 High Street Lacock, Lacock SN15 2LQ England, England
A good spot in lacock to grab a snack and a hot/cold drink to go if a tourist like me visiting the amazing lacock. This place has some hot snack bites to go and a large selection of drinks.
This has to be the best cafe in the area. The staff are exceptional, friendly, helpfull and very polite. The food was nice and hot and plenty of everything also very tasty.
We had a selection from the menu I had poached eggs on toast 2slices toast 3 eggs, my husband had a gluten free veggie breakfast with bacon, our friend had a brunch sausage, egg, bacon, beans, tomatoes and chips B&B. I would highly recommend this cafe.
After visiting this cafe on numerous occasions (following our dog walks at Beckhampton) and receiving excellent service & food, I am extremely disappointed to say that today wasn't one of them.
We ordered x2 toasted sandwiches & x2 pots of tea.
Our tea came out within a few minutes of ordering. Our toasties came out approximately 35 - 40 minutes later, and by this time we'd drunk our tea!
I'd asked the young lady serving if we could have a refund for the toasties as we'd been waiting an age for them. In addition 2 gentleman bikers had been served their meals. the same 2 bikers who'd arrived and ordered their food some 20 or so minutes after us. Literally 10 seconds after asking for a refund, our toasties magically appeared! Brought to out table by the owner nonetheless.
The MOST DISAPPOINTING thing about the whole episode is that we did not even receive an apology for the length of time we'd had to wait. In fact, not a word was said as the toasties were placed on the table in front of us.
I'd consider us as pretty regular customers of this establishment, and ones who were looking forward to the new diner opening next Summer. However, today's debacle has somewhat jeopardised whether we'll even bother visiting the cafe again.
If the owner thinks this is good customer service, I suggests he finds an alternative business.
I wrote a glowing review some time back about this place but boy, has it changed. Maybe they've had a change of chef or something but today it was DIRE.
We ordered the fish & chips and the fish didn't taste right at all. I think it was supposed to be cod but it tasted more like undercooked hake. Also, they left the skin on and the batter was just greasy and tasteless. Usually when we have fish anywhere, the skin is removed and there is a nice fillet but this was just all slimy skin, thick greasy batter and a handful of chips.
Very poor value indeed and we won't be going back.
I popped in here today and I’m sorry but disappointed in what was on offer.
I didn’t find them particularly welcoming.
My baguette (Brie, cranberry) had limited filling. The daily soup (parsnips and chilli) wasn’t very flavourful. The baguette that cake with the soup I don’t think they could have put any less butter on it.
I was the only customer, cane in during lunchtime and they seems distracted/rushed.
Just a shame but sorry won’t be going back.
The baguettes were fresh and they were good.
Always drive past and the cafe looks lovely so popped in. We ordered a full English breakfast each with coffee, the man behind the counter did not come across welcoming or friendly. They seemed to be short staffed, but the member of staff said it’s always like it.
Our breakfasts arrived and were put down on the table without the waiter saying a word and briskly walked off, we had to go and ask for salt and ketchup. The menu stated homemade baked beans, which sounded great but when they arrived they were slightly spicy. I think it would state that on the menu. Dry toast with no butter, we like ‘farmshop’ sausages but we both thought these tasted almost powdery. Scrambled egg was tasteless.
None of the staff came to check how our food was, we ate half of our food and left. We eat breakfast out a lot and were very disappointed.
Been meaning to leave a review for this place for a while.
We have eaten there as a family several times now, and refer to it as the 'ex-parrot' bistro, as there used to be a lovely African Grey who lived there, but got loose and now lives free-range in the nearby area!
It's a lovely place, family run, and the family are really nice and welcoming.
The food is brilliant. The Turkish breakfasts are sensational, but the standout choice is the Turkish Rose Jam. So frickin good I'm buying entire pots from the owner just so I can offer the stuff in my hotel.
Highly recommend eating here!
We purchased tickets for Story time with Santa. Absolutely brilliant and very ur children loved it. We’re lucky to have Pound Arts on the doorstep! The cafe is cosy and warm, the facilities are great, parking and all lovely and clean!
He perdido la cuenta de las veces que utilicé Reeve's para comer o para llevar (principalmente para llevar)
Nunca he tenido ninguna queja con mis compras desde allí y el personal es amable y eficiente.
