We stopped off on our way home from London and will certainly call here again The food was very good - very flavoursome, spicy but not ‘chillied’. Excellent service, polite yet discreet. I’d give my vegetable saag 10/10! The onion bhajis and chicken Rogan Josh were excellent as well.

Have been here 4 times in the last six months with various friends and family and tried a few different dishes now and it seems to get better every time! Highly recommend the Chicken Goan Curry or Chicken Dhansak. Always great service and great food at a very reasonable price.

Went for a meal as a large group and can honestly only rate 5/10 at best. We had to wait an hour and 40 minutes for the main course, granted the restaurant was busy with large groups but if chefs can’t keep up then don’t take the bookings or at least advise the customers of the wait time. When the food eventually came mine was cold, I asked for it to be medium to hot which it wasn’t. A few on the table had the tandoori mixed grill that again said it was average and the plate was loaded up with lettuce leaves and not meat, very crafty. All in all, the portion sizes were very small for the price, the food was cold and the wait was far too long. I wouldn’t go back again!

Lovely food - polite staff and warm ambiance - we weren't sure how busy they would be on a Saturday night in the winter but it was just right

Amesbury Tandoori is family owned and the welcome is always warm and very friendly. We have been customers of Amesbury Tandoori for over 26 years and visit at least two or three times per month. The meals are varied, fresh and bursting with flavour. The restaurant is modern but comfortable and has a good atmosphere. Their Tandoori chicken starter is succulent and full of flavour and is easily the best I have ever tasted. Their ELVIS Night has become famous for miles around. Amesbury Tandoori truly is an excellent restaurant and is well worth a visit.

We have been to all three of the restaurants these guys own and very happy that they decided to open the Amesbury one. Been here for dinner more times than I can remember and every time the food and the service is amazing. Last night we had another great selection of food and lots of beer and wine. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend being one of the best curry houses in the South.

4 beers, 1 G&T, 1 glass wine, 2 coffees, 6 poppadoms, 1 pickle tray, 4 curries, 3 naans, 2 rice, 4 veg sides and 2 ice creams. £165.10. 3 thought meals OK. I had the Bhuna which was luke warm and think the chef forgot to put the spices in as it was literally like onion stew, I've had spicier bread rolls! Didn't want to complain as it would have embarrassed by friends. Would I go again, no. Whatever you do do not order the Bhuna

This restaurant has recently re-opened after being closed I believe for some time. Not really knowing what to expect we popped in here on a quiet Monday evening, following a local event as it was quite late. It's a large, spacious establishment albeit a bit plain. Have to say we were pleasantly surprised by the food, which was better than expected (nothing drowning in oil thank goodness). We did think the menu was a bit limited - would prefer to see more choice. However, the food we ordered (hubby enjoyed a fairly hot lamb dish and I had Salmon) was good. Not the most amazing food ever but not half bad. Certainly better than anything else we've had in this town. Service was very pleasant. I would have no hesitation in recommending a visit.

Went for a midweek meal here, and was not disappointed. Upstairs dining room. My lamb main course and dhal side dish were both very good. Service was charming. Recommended.

Been visiting the Goa for over 30 years and the food and service are always exceptional. Hassan and his team are brilliant hosts and are happy to give advice to those who need help choosing their dishes. Boxing up any leftovers is also offered with no fuss so you don't waste what you've paid for.

It’s the first time for years that I’ve been for a meal at The Agra. It was always good previously but I was blown away by the experience tonight. The staff were attentive but not intrusive and the decor had been updated and was elegant. The food was absolutely delicious. I had sweet chilli chicken with rice which was wonderful. I was in a group of 4 adults and a child and we all chose a different main course after sharing a selection of starters. Each dish was amazing and only my grandson could manage a dessert. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will look forward to going back.
