A mini shopping mall. Vgroup visited for tea / coffees and cakes. Despite the large size of group service was excellent. sales and tea very good. Shop is also well stocked with good quality produce but priced at the very top end.

When hiking, stumbling on an unexpected farm shop in the middle of nowhere raises the spirits like nothing else. So when it loomed up, I plunged into Plank's overjoyed to eat something different from the mean rations I'd carried in my rucksack from Warminster. My eyes popped out of my head. They have everything. The lady on the till was lovely and said I could eat my haul on a table near the shop which I think was usually for staff or something. I stocked up on water and happily got through a big scotch egg; a tasty price-reduced pasty of interesting shape; a pint of cold milk; and a pair of bananas. All while reading the day's paper. The shop is in a small compound of rural businesses called The Old Potato Yard, a charming oasis of proper produce half-way between two ridges of the Wiltshire Downs.

We found this place by chance after googling farm shops on our way through. Cute little cafe with really lovely food. Husband had the ploughmans and we couldn't get over how large the slab of cheese was! My chicken salad sandwich was really tasty, as was my sons fruit bread. We asked if they could do a half cheese for our 4 year old and it was massive, the bread was lovely and thick and she literally ate every crumb! Big thumbs up for the minty hot chocolate too, loved the homemade marshmallow and biscuit on the side. The farm shop was well stocked and we couldn't resist buying some homemade cakes to take on with us!

Bought a £25.00 boned shoulder of lamb, tough as old boots and ruined our BBQ at the weekend. Wont be back, gone downhill since visit last year!!

We visited the Farm Shop on our way to Upavon and purchased, amongst other things, two lardy cakes. They were, without doubt, the worst lardies we have ever eaten. Even after heating in the microwave they were dry and almost inedible. Having checked the receipt, we discovered we had paid £1.49 each. What an expensive way to feed the birds!!

We dropped in for a midweek lunch not knowing what to expect, having no expectations is good, but in future they have lot to live up to because we were impressed. The service was unhurried but not slow, the food was excellent and interesting. The staff were cheerful, we will go again if in the area and in need of sustenance.

High quality food shop though mainly for serious carnivores, less interesting if meat doesn't play a huge part in your diet. Trip Advisor has this listed as a restaurant - which it isn't. There are coffee shops on the same site, though.

Planks Farm shop is not an eatery though I could not recommend this venue more highly for it's range of foodstuff with most products locally sourced and if the best quality. There is a butchery area in store and a vast complement of wines, beers and specialist tipples. This is a magnificent place to seasonally shop and prices are honestly placed on goods that have sound provenance. The staff are polite and really friendly. It is located in Lydeway, a couple of miles out of Devizes in an old Farm yard and is flanked by Mipo restaurant, an independent florist and a couple of antiques traders. A really lovely place to visit, a thumbs up!

Within the Old Potato Yard complex of retail shops. Plank’s Farm Shop is based within the Old Potato Yard complex of shops.. Had a good look round and was impressed at the great selection of food on offer especially the ready meals they had for sale (next visit would definitely take one home!). Some very interesting products and had to resist filling a basket...

The Bradley Hare is an elegant enterprise but tends to cater for diners and private parties rather than dog walkers looking for a pint and a sandwich; indeed the lunchtime snack menu is almost non existent. On occasions the bar closes completely to facilitate private functions. In short, the Bradley Hare is perhaps more of a "restaurant with rooms" rather than a traditional hostelry.

Stopped on a trip from Cinderford to Romsey , have driven past many times but never had time to stop, husband and son had ‘small ‘ breakfast and I had toast and jam, the breakfast was a great size, quickly served and tasted great, really good value for money . Toilets and rest of premises are really clean and can’t wait to visit again

Ok so Lynne and I are back at The New Inn with friends having yet another superb meal. We have now eaten here a few times and I feel I should commend the staff and the chef ( who we found out his name was Ronnie ) very nice touch when he comes out of the kitchen personally to ask if everything is ok. Once again superb service and our friends also commented on how lovely this superb pub/restaurant is. Even when we pop in for a snack Pizza that is just superb. Well done all at The New Inn. we certainly will be back and so will our friends. You guys deserve to do well as you always go the extra mile. Thank you, so refreshing in this day and age . We will be booking for a meal again l this Saturday night with some more friends. all the very best Ian & Lynne
