After having a lovely few hours in Lacock we started looking for a place to have lunch. Red Lion was full with a long wait for tables so we tried Carpenters Arms which was closed. Reluctantly we tried this cafe. I put my mask on and walked in an an elderly gentleman without any form of greeting barked at me “do you have masks?!”. I explained that while I had one on, the kids didn’t have them and my sister-in-law did not have one but had a scarf she could cover her nose and mouth with. He barked again “it’s not the same as a mask is it, we’ve had a death in Lacock!!!!”. By then my S-I-L had found a mask but I was so disgusted I told him that his manner left a lot to be desired and that I wouldn’t be spoken to like that. Thanked him for his warm welcome and left. What a vile horrible man and reading some other reviews, it seems he’s there often. Avoid avoid avoid!
my dad, my friend and I came to this fast food restaurant at around 8:15 pm, I ordered my food to eat in as I pulled out a chair to sit down a member of staff snatched it out of my hand and said that “it’s tucked in for a reason” she then said something that my friend didn’t quite hear so my friend asked “what time do you close?” To which the worked snapped back “NOW” bearing in mind that my friend and I are under 16 and there were other people sat down still eating I found this very unreasonable and upsetting, the disappointment further continued when we couldn’t get a Pepsi max and had to substitute it for a 7up. When we got home although we ordered corn on the cob we were given gravy which none of us eat. Pretty much to sum it all up kfc Chippenham is very unsatisfactory and disappointing, take the extra 15 minute drive and go to the Trowbridge kfc instead.
Worst Burger King in the land avoid at all cost food cold and service is terrible waited 15 min to get through on drive through ordered them waited another 10 min to get food. Just a complete waste of money and time
Delivered by UberEats. I have no idea why pizza hut made this change partnering with a company hell bent on delivering stone cold food by never in their history collecting hot food on time. Not the restaurants fault for being prepared, but by partnering with UberEats avoid this place if you ever want to eat a pizza you didn't have to wait an extra 40+ minutes for to then reheat yourself. Good thing about cold pizza is the cheese doesn't get stuck to the top of the box because these drivers aren't equipped to deliver pizza in their just eat/deliveroo/UberEats bags that don't let the pizza sit flat in their bags. Dear pizza hut, please tear up whatever awful contract you have with UberEats and use your own drivers that don't screw over your customers with every single order hence the only 3 previous negative reviews here before this review.

A horrible experience. A number of men were trying it on with a vulnerable, very drunk woman. She was asking us for help but the locals became agitated when we suggested we help her to a taxi for her to get home safely. One man in particular was vulgar and when I retaliated, we were told to leave. The pub is filthy, toilets are disgusting and the customers do what ever they want. This place needs a visit from the police and shutting down.
Visited the new one in shires 3 times, food is always cold I mean fridge cold. Disgusting !
Defo advice using the one on spitfire much nicer and fresh food not left for hours to get cold
This place is falling to pieces, never have any stock , the staff touch food with there bare hands , the fridges are always broken it’s just an absolute shambles there at the moment , someone needs to sort something out !
Ordered a takeaway from this place at the weekend. The lamb madras turned out to be chicken and it was the most blandest sauce ever. But that was not the worst of it. Finding a long black hair in my food was the worst. Also all 3 of us had bad stomachs the next day. Absolutely disgusting.
As a bit of a treat after cooking everyday we thought we would try this takeaway service. It's only open a couple of days a week, and social media made it look great.
The food was delivered by a nice lady. That is pretty much where the positive ends!! We had a chicken kebab with jerk and oragono. At nearly £13 for one, we were expecting great things. But no, dry overcook chicken. Loads of leaves to fill the box. lack of flavour unless you like salt, there was plenty of salt!! We then had the vegan brownie, well i was nearly sick! It was a dry brown brick.. and tiny!
So disappointed! Avoid at all costs!!
Arrived 1 hour and 40 minutes after ordering, milkshakes was warm, food had cleary been forgotten and left somewhere, totally unedible, rang back and asked for a refund to be offered 50% of my money back, don't not order from here, staff were rude and tried to blame me for the food being cold as I live 7 miles away! Never ordering again
