The best restaurants in Chideock and Symondsbury West Dorset South West

Stayed here in August 23. Lovely accommodation, spacious and clean. Vikki and Martin are both very helpful. Really relaxed atmosphere. The children loved playing in the games room and the communal garden. We might even come back for another visit. Would highly recommend this accommodation.

Such a delightfully quirky and unique little spot, with treasures everywhere you look! We came for breakfast and the quality of food (we had 2 vegan sausage sandwiches) was so wholesome and it was so refreshing for it all to be veggie and vegan. 100% recommend this adorable little cafe to anyone visiting the area, especially if you also love plants, gardening and vintage treasure troves 👌

We didn’t sadly go as we’d been calling for over 3 days but the phone didn’t get answered. We ended up going elsewhere as they don’t respond to emails or calls.

The best garden cafe in the area. Always a delight to visit. Had a splendid Mothers Day lunch-such tasty food and good service. Will be back soon!

We popped in to the clock for dinner with family and we was left happy and content. The scotch egg is one of our favourites to share. The food, atmosphere and staff make for a lovely place to come for a drink or dinner. We can’t wait for our next visit!

Loved our cosy family meal by the fire after an outdoorsy wintry day. Our dog loved being at our feet and snaffling the occasional dog treat care of the bar owner! Food was hearty and delicious. Would love to come and stay in the inn rooms one summery weekend.

Everything was OK, nothing awful, food tasted ok , service was pleasant but not stand out. Prices reasonable . Not the cafe’s fault but people kept leaving the door open and letting in a draft, staff repeatedly having to go and close them.

Wonderful Sunday lunch. Nothing overcooked. So many tasty vegetables to go with the roast. Excellent home cooked desserts

We were camping just down the road this past weekend and decided to have a browse - I'm glad we did as there was much more to this farm shop than I was expecting. Lots of different produce and gifts type things all quite nicely set out. Some things were sensibly priced considering you do expect to pay a slight premium at a farm shop (postcards 50p, fresh scones £1, clotted cream £1.99), but some of the prices were a little shocking - there were loaves of fresh bread at £4.50 and I nearly had a heart attack when I saw the price of ice cream being served at the side of the car park! Overall a worthwhile trip - the scones were delicious, good selection of ciders and got some lovely warm slipper socks. I'd recommend popping in if you're passing (the views are fantastic too) just don't expect any bargains.

Beautiful location with fantastic views, sadly food and service let them down. Definitely over priced for what was produced. Not family oriented in the slightest, no kids menu at all. No atmosphere, unexperienced team with no etiquette.just wasnt worth the money at all.The food was terrible, bread was stale oh my , I could go on just don't waste your time.

We stopped off here for a lunch, and was welcomed by friendly staff. We had bacon and brie rolls that were so good, the bacon was nice and crispy, a delight. We will be back.

The Roast on the Coast is soooooo good!! We booked a table for 4pm then decided to have a takeaway instead. Bought a 'large plate' and put everything into a takeaway box. Still piping hot when we got home. Absolutely delicious. Really looking forward to the next one already!!! Thank you so much to the Team for always doing such a great job!!!
