We stopped while walking the SWCP we were greeted with friendly service and great value - a cuppa and an excellent muffin for £2.50. Despite there being no loo and a sketchy network this is a great little place in the middle of nowhere.

We are in North Devon for a week long break and by chance it is also our second wedding anniversary so wanted to celebrate somewhere close to our holiday home. We found Pattard’s after some research and we are so pleased that we did. We have had the most excellent, high quality meal. It was absolutely delicious and such a lovely location. We would not hesitate to return if we were ever in the vicinity again.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 “This Fish Burger Slapped Harder Than My Wi-Fi on Payday” I wasn’t expecting much. I just wanted a fish burger — not a spiritual awakening in a burger bun. But here we are. First bite? BOOM. It was like Poseidon himself blessed this fillet with a trident and a wink. Crispy on the outside, flaky on the inside — like the fish had just done a yoga retreat and was living its best afterlife between two buns. The tartar sauce? Smooth. Cool. Like James Bond in a blender. And don’t get me started on the lettuce — it was so fresh I’m convinced it still had a gym membership. Every bite was a sea-shanty of flavour. I had a brief moment where I considered proposing to the person who made it, but I was too busy licking my fingers like a feral seagull on holiday. Honestly, if this fish burger were a person, it would have its own Netflix series, an autobiography, and a line of scented candles. 10/10. Would fight a flock of angry pelicans to eat again. 🐟🍔💥

What an amazing spot to have a cup of tea and cake!! We were made to feel extremely welcome and had the most delicious scones with cream and lemon curd. If you're walking to or from Clovelly, Brownsham Farm is a worth a visit. We contacted them beforehand to check if we could bring our motorhome down the lanes to the tea room. Tina responded quickly and said that this was possible. Definitely worth the visit!

Delightful pub with excellent accommodation. Very welcoming friendly staff. Excellent pub food. Really welcoming of my two well behaved Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Excellent location with beautiful surrounding contryside/beaches. Will definitely stay again.

Had a fantastic Sunday roast here last Sunday with a large group of friends.. Very reasonable at £14.99 or £16.99 for a selection of all the meats. Served with plenty of beautifully prepared vegetables. Great location with plenty of atmosphere. The Staff were friendly and very helpful. Many thanks from Bristol !

We were staying at the local camping site in our campervan and after exploring the area called in for some lunch. We both opted for the Devon burger with coleslaw and fries and we were not disappointed. Lovely beer garden which gave the option of a nice shaded area for the dog as the sun was shining. There is an outside bar where you can oder drinks and food. Characterful pub with lovely pleasant staff, would recommend a visit if in the area.

Pleasant midweek lunch enjoyed here…reasonable choice of pub grub from bar menu; good food; sensible pricing & welcoming/good service from the outset. Adequate choice of drinks for our needs too. Would recommend & happily return if ever in the area.
