Pleasant midweek lunch enjoyed here…reasonable choice of pub grub from bar menu; good food; sensible pricing & welcoming/good service from the outset. Adequate choice of drinks for our needs too. Would recommend & happily return if ever in the area.

Everything a North Devon pub should be. Welcoming to visitors and holidaymakers but first and foremost an authentic, Camra-approved pub, serving its surrounding community. And did I say dog friendly?! Food is satisfying, unpretentious and very good value for money. You can't do better in this corner of the world.

Food and service excellent. We had the dog so ate in the bar. On arrival my husband nipped to walk the dog and I went in to order our drinks, the place was packed which was so lovely to see, A shooting party were there so full up. I went to the smaller bar to order my drink with the lady behind the bar took my order for my drink didn’t ask if I wanted anything else, just thrust the machine in front of me, I said I would also like a pint for my husband which got a surely reply, lager cider or ale, where I was standing I couldn’t see what the ales were,, so asked. She then went over to pour the drink, whilst also talking with the other young lady about the fact I had just ordered a pint and not specified, I could hear her, not very welcoming really. As I said at the start everything else was lovely and waiting staff were excellent. She tainted the experience a little with her attitude.

We stayed at the Bradworthy Inn for 3 nights and ate there twice. The location is ideal, right in the centre of Bradworthy and well located for visiting North Devon. It's a bit of a late check-in, being 17:00, but that's when the pub opens. Check-in was a doddle and the staff were nice. We stayed in an excellent dog friendly apartment. The apartment was ideal in almost every way - they even supplied tea, coffee, fresh milk and a few other basics. There were only two down sides - neither of which can realistically be resolved; the first was a really weak electric shower. It was warm enough but the flow was pretty dire. It was just about enough for a wash but not for an invigorating blast of water. The only other down side was, because it's in the centre of the village, it's little noisy with vehicles first thing in the morning. It's probably a listed building so still has single glazed sash windows, but even with temperatures below zero outside, it was plenty warm enough. The beer at the pub is lovely and the food is even better - absolutely lovely. So, if you don't mind a low pressure shower or the odd truck outside at 07:00, the Bradworthy Inn is an absolutely superb place to stay, particularly if you have a dog.

Really nice pub, eating out is a treat these days ( especially with 6 of us! ) I found this pub via a blog written by someone visiting nearby Holsworthy. I’m so glad I did we arrived and were seated in the restaurant ( we booked earlier that afternoon ) the menu had a great choice and was reasonably priced. The food was lovely home cooked style traditional English pub food. So glad we spent our hard earned money on somewhere decent to eat 👍🏻

We booked last minute for a Sunday lunch and everything about our visit was perfect. There are some refurbishment works going on at the moment and we had to use the side entrance but we were met by friendly staff who directed us to the dining area across the courtyard area. The carvery choice was ham, turkey or beef with an assortment of tasty potatoes and vegetables. Delicious parsnips too!!! We made room for dessert and enjoyed the lemon and white chocolate cheesecake with some ice cream. The serving team were very friendly and prices were very good.

Having bought drinks we were told that we could not have any food as the kitchen was up to full capacity. What to do? Swallow our drinks down fast so we could dash to another venue? There was a mobile fish'n'chip van outside. Would it be possible to eat them with our drinks in the garden? Most definitely NOT. Can't have customers bringing in their own food, even if we can't feed them. No problem - we took our drinks outside the premises and ate the most delicious crispy battered fish and chips to die for, and watched the world go by. Will definitely go to Bradworthy again, but not call at the Inn.

First time eating out post covid, we had all got cold and wet whilst camping and were all in need of some classic British pub grub to warm us up. Bradworthy Inn was just the job, got exactly what we were looking for, very fresh and nicely done, I can particularly recommend the puddings. The staff were welcoming hosts whilst also clearly maintaining the current SD and hygiene rules. Furthermore, after finding we were without milk after the village shop closed early they were kind enough to give us some from their own supply to save us a return trip to Holsworthy! Bradworthy Inn also has a pretty little beer garden right underneath the church spire which I would happy sit in on a summers day. If you are holidaying in the Bude area I recommend you turn a little inland to visit.

Rang up and booked a table the day before so we were happy they managed to offer us a table. We were seated in the restaurant which was nice, you could also eat in the bar for a more relaxed feel and if you have a dog. The carvery was lovely and there was plenty of choice of vegetables, all of which were fresh and cooked well. (Not soggy). I particularly enjoyed the creamy leeks! My only slight complaint would be about the Yorkshire puddings, they were a little bit tough/chewy. This could have been due to the fact that we were the last table to eat? Now for the pudding, wow..amazing! Huge portions, I had the apple pie which was clearly homemade. Huge chunks of apple and a little jug full of custard on the side. It was so yummy!! Overall we all thoroughly enjoyed the food here. If we are visiting the area again we would love to try something else on the menu!

Moved down to Bradworthy after retiring in August after several very enjoyable visits to the inn. And wish to say the staff are absolutely lovely have never treated us as outsiders although we come from Kent. There is no ‘clicky’ atmosphere in there that we seem to have experienced in other villiages. The food is always excellent , beautifully cooked and very fresh. I personally disagree for the previous review stating that they cannot cope when busy, as my experience of the staff during busy times for example their beer festival and village carnival proves that to be absolutely the wrong impression. During visits before our move and whilst we were in the process of moving we stayed at the pubs lovely accommodation and was pleasantly surprised with our Apartment and extra grateful they were dog friendly!I would highly recommended this friendly pub to anyone staying in the surrounding area.

After arriving in Bradworthy today, we were looking for somewhere to spend our money. After a meal and visit to the Bradworthy Inn we are still looking. We had a table booked for 8pm. A waitress took our order about 30 mins later. The food was fairly quick when it was ordered, but waiting to order a sweet or coffee was not happening. We decided to ask for the bill instead and were then told to pay in the bar. The bar was full of drunken mourners from what seemed a very long wake/rugby world cup celebration. They were foul mouthed and barging when I was trying to pay the bill. In the end I nearly had to lob the bill and money at the bar. I got a coffee quicker by driving back to our rented cottage. If you do go to the Bradworthy Inn for a meal, check there are no functions on first because the waitresses cannot cope with a room full. I know this is a bit of a rant, and it is in fact the very first time I have given a review, but after a 7 hour drive to Devon, ready to eat and relax, we do not expect to be so poorly served.

We went here yesterday - this is our 4th visit - all 3 previous visits were good and the meal was great. Yesterday I had the "Pie of the Day" which was Steak and Ale. Very disappointed in it - it was basically chopped beef in brown water with a puff pastry lid (judging by the shape of the meat - not sure if it wasn't from a previously cooked piece of beef) . I always think these are cheat's pies as they are only a bowl of stew with a lid but I put so much seasoning in and it still had no flavour It was impossible to eat the sauce without a spoon even had I wanted to (which I didn't) …… Pub Pies are known for being rich and flavoursome - not so this time (sorry)….. Husband had the curry of the day - not convinced it wasn't a microwaveable bought in option again the pieces of chicken were a strange shape. Ending on a positive, the staff were lovely, helpful and very nice. Will return but will stay off the specials board.

Enjoyed our second visit to this very welcoming pub for an evening meal whilst on holiday in the area. The staff are very warm and friendly and the food on both occasions was well cooked, hot and plentiful. On both evenings it was very interesting to see that there were many locals in, enjoying a drink and a get together with friends. The bar area and dining areas were both full and we noticed that there were other rooms that had “meetings/gatherings” of local organisations. There is a room (coffee shop) for meeting friends for coffee during the day and also a restaurant both of which we did not use or visit. So in all it is obviously the centre of the village being located in The Square. We won’t hesitate in returning in the future if we are in the area.

Booked as they were happy for us to bring my sons' dog although we had to have our table in the bar. No problem although my only criticism is that several of us complained that we were a little cold being well away from the log fire and the only radiator was lukewarm. However, I do not wish to detract too much from the overall experience which was excellent. The food(carvery) was superb although we had to walk across the courtyard to get it and it was raining heavily. I would imagine it would not be difficult to put a covered tunnel or something similar to give some protection. Several people were heard to ask if they could have apiece of all three meats but were told quite abruptly that two was the maximum! As I have said, the food was excellent and the service from the waiting staff was very helpful and polite. All in all I would agree with one of the recent reviewers when they described it as a good old fashioned village pub, with a good atmosphere and yes I would go back again.

We visited this cosy pub on a week away in Devon. It's cosy and what you'd expect of a village pub with lots of room. We had dinner and I had fish, the rest of our group had steak - everyone said it was delicious! The only negative comment was that the restaurant was separate to the pub and there is zero ambience in there when you initially go in. Things started to liven up by the end of the night but to start with the restaurant felt a bit like a library! I'd suggest playing the music a little louder, candles, lights dimmed and better chairs and tables as they were looking a little tatty.

A warm welcome and immediately had a table made for us even though they were obviously busy. Young staff were great. Very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Food was good and reasonably priced.

We were staying a mile up the road and needed somewhere to eat for a couple of evenings .Had seen that the Bradworthy Inn was dog friendly so we gave it a try . We are glad that we booked a table as pets are only allowed in the bar area which only has 3 tables .The menu was varied from weekend to weekdays so there was a good selection .The food was of a good standard as was the service . .

A visit to my friend in Devon is only complete after Sunday lunch at this wonderful inn. I don't eat meat so I am happy to pile my plate high with wonderfully cooked vegetables which are to-die-for. My friend had the beef which she loved. Puddings nearly finished us off so be warned. Don't have breakfast!

We enjoyed an excellent carvery meal at the Bradworthy Arms at a reasonable rate for the area. The vegtables were admirably varied and well cooked and I was assured by my companion that the meat was first rate. The Nut Roast was a bit ordinary, but at least the choice was available, so all in all I would recommend this venue and we'll be back before long to try the choices on the main menu bfore too long.

During a visit to the area my wife & I visited with her mother for a Sunday lunch, having read various reviews we thought it sounded very good, well it wasn't good....It was absolutely superb. A choice of 3 meats, fantastic variety of vegetables, all cooked to perfection.

Enjoyed an evening meal at the Bradworthy inn as we were staying locally on holiday.Quaint thatched roof olde world Inn with lots of locals enjoying the facilities.Sat in the small snug next to the main bar area.Staff attentive and appeared happy in their work.Local beer was good, fish and chips was nice, would have enjoyed homemade chips though.Worth a visit if staying nearby.

We wanted a nice local pub for a Sunday lunch rather than cooking. Its nice enough and the staff are friendly. The food is ok but they ran out of a few things by 1pm which was a shame. The cost is expensive for the quality that you get. Family Sunday lunch and dessert with drinks £80.

I had the hunters chicken which was presented nicely. Plenty of chips which was great. However, the chicken was really over cooked and very tough which was disappointing. I would like to try it again as my. Wife's steak and ale pie was good. The fish and chips were also tasty.

We stayed locally and chose to eat at The Bradworthy for 4 nights, each time we were welcomed into the bar area where our dog was also welcomed. The choice of food available is good and varied and very well done. We thoroughly enjoyed eating here and highly recommend it.

We were staying at a nearby caravan site at East Putford and went to the Bradworthy Inn for an evening meal. It's worth booking a table cos it gets busy, even in the week. Very nice atmosphere, friendly staff and locals. Dogs are allowed in the bar area. They've also got a bar cat who sits on the till! Meal was lovely, big portions - we didn't leave hungry. Would definitely recommend.

We went into the coffee shop attached to the inn, we had the breakfast. Best one I've had and at 6.95 including toast and coffee you would be hard pushed to find better value, the sausages were lovely and the eggs very fresh. The lady that served us was very helpful and friendly.

We were staying nearby & this was pretty much the only option we had. Its a lovely old fashioned pub with a nice pub garden & cosy interior. We went firstly on the sat night for something to eat & drinks... unfortuately it was slightly bad timing as that night they had 3 events in there & probably had the entire village in the pub! We returned on the sunday as we were advised the roast was good. It was absolutely the best roast ive ever had in a resturant. The meat was good quality & perfectly cooked. Everything tasted soooo good!

Hi, Late October 2016 visit, wife and I decided we would go out of town to eat so turned off just after Kilkhampton and drove through the dark country lanes to Bradworthy.Parked in the square and walked around to the side entrance. Met by open log fire and locals made very welcome. Had an excellent meal hot and extra large portions. First time we went the cat was on a chair by the fire but this time it was lying behind the till. Not sure about summer time, we usually go in winter.Summary; Excellent food, made very welcome, always warm and cosy.

This is a great meeting place with a hiden garden out the back , a real locals pub Brian and shirley always make you welcome and have a great sense of humour. Theirs always a story or tale , they only take money not cards , but the ATM machine is very local. a good mix of ales, beers and spirits.

What a reception! Perhaps you have to born here to enter! The man behind the bar was rude. The one in front of the bar stared opened mouthed. Makes the pub in the Last Werewolf In London seem friendly. At least they warned the non locals to stay off the moor.
