This is one of the best meals I've ever had in a restaurant. Beautiful food. The portions aren't huge, but that's good if you would like more than one course. It isn't fast food or cheap but it's definitely worth eating there. I can't recommend it highly enough. The folk who run the restaurant were helpful and obliging to an elderly relative who was a little eccentric in their expectations.

If you want a warm welcome, good service, good food , clean and authentic room you have it all at The Old Smithy Inn . We decided to go off the main road and found this gem. Well worth the visit and if you are lucky enough to be there on a Thursday ( every second week so check the date) there is live local folk music . Don’t miss this pub if you are near !

We stayed at The Anchor Inn for 1 night. Our room was lovely, very comfortable. Felt very home from home. Had everything we needed for a cosy evening. Ate in the bar on the evening. Food was delicious. Especially the crumble. Breakfast the following morning was lovely. All the staff were very friendly. Would definately visit this beautiful little place again.

Came across this tearoom during a long coastal walk, just after I said 'wouldn't it be nice to find somewhere to have coffee and a cake!'. How welcome it was and the owner was so friendly and nice. I had a coffee and a piece of coffee and walnut cake which was home made and really good. My husband had a 'savoury tea' - cheese scone, cream cheese and pickle with a pot of tea which was a first for him, and really enjoyed. We sat inside as the weather wasn't great and there was a huge array of teapots in a cabinet to look at, there was an attractive garden outside if the weather had been nice.

Pleasant midweek lunch enjoyed here…reasonable choice of pub grub from bar menu; good food; sensible pricing & welcoming/good service from the outset. Adequate choice of drinks for our needs too. Would recommend & happily return if ever in the area.
