Came here last night, was staying nearby and read some good reviews. Well I have to say...food was outstanding, service and welcome was lovely...don't expect a fancy resturant as its not that, but the food was fresh , tasty and plenty of it. Extensive menu and they were all so friendly and accommodating. Value for money, second to none! Would have paid triple for what we had somewhere else!

Steve and his team (especially Andrew and Charlotte) were absolutely brilliant from the outset, helping with the prep to ensure everything was in place for the event. The team were tentative, professional and friendly throughout, which lead to a very successful 30 year school reunion!!! Venue was ideal for our group of 45 people in this private space, with Steve giving us pure autonomy, we had drinks on arrival, music of our choice, we dressed the room to our liking including a backdrop/selfie light for photo’s and use of the TV to display pictures. Accessibility access and a P&D car park opposite. I would highly recommend this venue if you are looking to hold an event!!! Thank you to Steve and his staff!!

Miserable food. Literally the worst I have ever had. Ordered a mac and cheese loaded jacket potato. Came out with one spoonful of mac and cheese on the whole potato. They drizzle barbecue sauce over to try and make you think there is something in your 'loaded potato' but literally nothing, no mac and cheese, no butter, nothing just a dry potato. I said to the waiter there's nothing on it, he said its the portion I've checked, eat it or leave it so I left it, got my money back and we went and ate elsewhere. Absolutely appalling, I'm sure they must laugh when it leaves the kitchen at how bad it is. Never eat there again.

Amazing food, very generous portions! The best chips we ever had! 10 out of the 10!

First the good news: the value was excellent using the voucher supplied, the staff are friendly, the atmosphere ok (given the sort of pub it is) and parking was very easy. Now the bad news: It was busy as it was a Friday during half term; we both ordered pie and chips, but the peas had a strange taste & the gravy was rather thick; worse still was the fact that the beef & ale pie appeared to be microwaved up as the pastry was very chewy (commensurate with microwave heating) and the filling was mainly gravy.

Food was very poor, especially for the cost (comparative to an excellent t restaurant - £169 for family of 4 with one bottle of wine) - seemed like all the kitchen had was a deep fat fryer and a microwave. On the plus side service was good. Not their fault the kitchen was so bad.
