Amazing food, very generous portions! The best chips we ever had! 10 out of the 10!

Food was very poor, especially for the cost (comparative to an excellent t restaurant - £169 for family of 4 with one bottle of wine) - seemed like all the kitchen had was a deep fat fryer and a microwave. On the plus side service was good. Not their fault the kitchen was so bad.

I wish there was another word for failure and disappointment. Food was absolutely horrible. Staff were nice though.

Went in for a decaff coffee after a swim. Coffee delicious and Errol the man working behind the bar was absolutly amazing, so friendly. Defiantly doing this more

Absolutely awful! Poor customer service. Extremely unprofessional. Disgusting. I’m not even sure where to begin but i’ll keep it short. My colleague and I ordered triple chocolate cheesecake for dessert. Halfway through, we find green spots all around the cheesecake. We ask for clarification from the waitress and then the chefs. They tried to convince us that it’s orange zest and has been cross contaminated? I’m sorry but on what world is orange zest green?? & what would have happened if we have allergies? So finally they admit it’s mold in the end after going back and forth for about an hour. Asked for their names - they refused but finally gave after about 10 minutes. Asked for suppliers name as they get the cheesecakes sent to them and they are not made fresh in store and so wanted to complain myself to the supplier but they refused - “we are not allowed to”. Honestly absolutely awful awful experience, please stay away as I for sure will not be staying or eating here again!

The chicken was very dry and I asked to swap chips for potatoes but was told that would be a £2 surcharge, when chips and potatoes are the same price on the menu as a side order. Not encouraging the healthy options. Very overpriced for the quality of food on offer. On the upside, the burger was good (albeit expensive) and the staff are extremely nice.

Had the steak and shared the pasta dish with my wife. Everything was delicious for a restaurant attached to a hotel.

It was so slow we had to wait almost 1 and half to get our starter! If you want to be relaxed in this place, you would definitely have so much stress with the wait. DON’T COME HERE! We were starving! Please don’t come here, we don’t want you to suffer this as well! This was in dinner. Not to mention the food was awful I got macaroni and it tasted like nothing! After I put some salt it tasted like chunky salt! I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!! Now, you might not believe me, however all the good reviews are about breakfast, I am talking about the dinner!

I have never seen something like that! I had a meal at the Marriott Hotel restaurant in Swindon, the food was alright. The supervisor called Fatima was very rude with me, she sat me at the table and she said that she will be my waitress for today she took my drink order, she came after 20 minutes to take my drink order again because she told me that she forgot about me, she didn't even apologise. to me. After aanother15 minutes she came with my drink again she did not apologise. After a while another team member came and brought my starter she ask me if i would like another drink which i said yes and she brought me straight away in 2minutes she was very polite, she was smiling. After i had finish my starter she clear my empty plate asked me if i want another drink, she came very quick. The supervisor Fatima brought my main course very quick as well but she didn't even asked me for a drink even my glass was empty. At the end of my meal i have left £10 tips for the young lady who look after me and i told her i will leave on the table for her and i went at the bar. From the bar i have seen the supervisor Fatima how she took the £10 from the table and she put the on her pocket and the other young girl saw her and she told her that i left the £10 for her but Fatima the supervisor said that the money it's for her because was her table. I could hear the conversation, Fatima was shouting at her and send that girl in the kitchen crying. I had never seen anything like that! Soo i went to Fatima and tell her i would like to speak with the manager but she said that she is the manager on duty to tell her what i would want. I asked her why she took the money from the table I told her that she don't deserve my £10 I had left them for that girl who look well after me. I have never seen in my life something like that ! Very rude and she's the supervisor i can't understand how the general manager can keep to work this kind of staff ! When i will come again at the Marriott hotel restaurant Swindon i will definitely speak with the general manager if i will find him!!

Included meals here all of which were self service except Christmas day lunch and I would have preferred to have table service in the light of the present covid situation. The quality of the food was adequate but a bit repetitious

We stayed here ahead of a friend’s birthdays enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and airy and the furniture was your usual hotel necessities. The only grumble was the lack of toilet tissue in the room. We didn’t eat here to save cost and popped into Dotty’s Old Town Cafe which was a cheaper alternative that I can recommend.

I booked a suite here to stay with my girlfriend for a relaxing mid week break at your “spa hotel”. Firstly, the cast iron restaurant was “fully booked” on our first night so had no choice but to eat out, despite when we looked in to the restaurant there were many tables left. The service was absolutely shocking in the cast iron last night - £160 for the meal and had to ask twice for cutlery, was seated in the bar as the main restaurant was shut, had kids running around us and had to ask for wine glasses to be cleaned. All waiters (bar two young adults) seemed uninterested and frankly unfamiliar with the job. The small pool this evening at 19:30 was filled with kids and people playing games and meant we could not have a swim in your “spa”. The room cleaners not only clean the rooms every other day - they broke our phone charger and told us they would reimburse us! This hotel is unorganized, understaffed, poorly managed and not worth the money. We came here with an open mind and looking to just relax - yet we have found it unsettling, chaotic and very displeasing. Having had a chat with some local members, we are aware we are not the only people with this experience.

Have visited the hotel several times over the past few years and have to say that the cleanliness has really gone downhill, particularly in the gym. There are very few staff about - I had to actively go looking for someone to order a drink on a weekday evening - and in the leisure club they were hiding in a small back office. Pool floor felt very gritty and dirty, pool sides were covered with long streaks of hair which suggested it hadn’t been mopped properly in a while. Swim ropes were just left bundled in a pile. Ladies changing room had broken tiles and the showers were full of rubbish! Having worked in the leisure industry, I’m pretty good at spotting when rush cleaning jobs have been done!!!

We stayed there for one night and a view of their patio area. The room was very good. Their facilities was very good but when it comes to their patio area it needs someone to do the upkeep that way it would look better than it does now. Their breakfast is fantastic too. Also the bar does food as well as drinks which was very good.

Having stayed on several occasions previously unfortunately it’s slipped backwards since my last visit. The bathrooms are tired and the level of service is hit and miss, in fact we very nearly booked out but for other family members staying. My wife waited 30 minutes for a snack that finally arrived but was wrong, room service don’t answer the phone and I was also charged for drinks I didn’t receive when leaving, so I’d suggest checking you bill before departure, overall not what I expected from a Marriott hotel.

I’d give this place a 3.5 really; as the service from the team was very good, and the food was above average. No complaints at all as we were relaxed about timings and in no rush. Fatima as our waitress was super attentive with a very good memory. A chilled out evening meal :)

A lovely hotel with everything saying quality yet a great affordable price. Food is exceptional as is the rooms, staff, pool, environment, areas inside and out.

Food was a 3, and service a 2. Really not much to say other than our starters were forgotten and delivered with our mains - cold, and the staff seemed like they had zero awareness we were there. Our £32 bottle of wine was dumped off at the table still capped. Of course the bill was delivered promptly and included a generous service charge. Actually, I’m surprised that given this is a Marriott property with abysmal reviews they have not attempted to address a clear pattern of management problems.

Attended one of their Christmas Meals and Music events. Drink on arrival was fine, but I emphasise the singular there. The venue looked nice as did the tables. Service was good. Food was beyond terrible. Now I recognise it was mass catering but our group paid nearly £50 per head and you would get a much nicer meal at a Weatherspoons. To be perfectly honest we had our school Christmas lunch and the ladies in the canteen did a much better job catering for a much larger group. Food was bland, some over cooked, some overcooked. A lot of food was send back from our group. Music was fine, but they really need a DJ that can actually mix music. Bar was extortionate with people paying the best part of £20 for two doubles and coke. Fortunately people make an event so we had a good time but absolutely not worth the cost. Not a one off either, my partners company went there last year and said exactly the same. They won’t be getting repeat business.

The hotel in general was well up to the Marriott standard, however something went seriously wrong with the Saturday evening meal. We were on an organised trip to visit Bath Christmas market on Friday all was well as the main restaurant had a large Xmas party we were in a separate room, Our part of the coach group were 22 people on two tables as we asked for, all service and food was very good. Saturday we were at Alice at Blenheim and Xmas market then afternoon in Whitney. Again two tables were organised for our party, the starter took a very long time to come out and the mains were even longer. The vegetables suffered awfully; from being under a warming lamp for far too long,The dessert was also a very long time coming. Our leader asked for a round of wine which due to the delays was duly given.The driver asked what was the problem but was given short shift. The delay was not such a problem as we were a group of friends having a good time, Charades was very popular. We understand things can and will go wrong occasionally it was not getting the information was the rather annoying thing. The problem was in the kitchen as the serving staff were very good but nothing to serve other than lots more drinks!

Went as three generations for Sunday lunch. As we knew it was going to be a really nice sunny day the manager kindly agreed to lay up a table for th 8 of us out on the garden terrace. They have a good kid’s menu...
