Steam Railway Co in Swindon

Steve and his team (especially Andrew and Charlotte) were absolutely brilliant from the outset, helping with the prep to ensure everything was in place for the event. The team were tentative, professional and friendly throughout, which lead to a very successful 30 year school reunion!!! Venue was ideal for our group of 45 people in this private space, with Steve giving us pure autonomy, we had drinks on arrival, music of our choice, we dressed the room to our liking including a backdrop/selfie light for photo’s and use of the TV to display pictures. Accessibility access and a P&D car park opposite. I would highly recommend this venue if you are looking to hold an event!!! Thank you to Steve and his staff!!

We have been drinking in this pub for to many years to count. We went to go into this pub Saturday evening to celebrate a 50th birthday. Had walked out of neighbouring pub NOT DRUNK or acting in an antisocial manor and attempted to go into the Steam railway to be told by the doorman that we were not welcome and the pub was closed? When asked how can it be closed at 10.00pm he told us he did not have to tell us Why. we could see people inside. Maybe the Steam railway no longer likes anyone over 30? As such we will never set foot in this pub ever again and if this is their new policy I hope like us everyone will stay well clear of this place.

We held a 50th Birthday party at The Steam Railway last weekend and would love to congratulate all the staff and landlord who could not have done any more to accomodate our needs. Absolutely outstanding service and a superb venue I would highy recommend, a lovely pub too, great food and fab where to watch sports venue

Busy pub aimed at the sporting fan so not a great one for a first date. Decent lager selection but no real ale on my visits, staff were friendly and crowd was good. The large beer garden is good, weather permitting.

Amazing venue, amazing choice of alcohol and great service. I couldn’t knock this place until I visited the mens toilets by the main bar. Black mould on the walls and ceilings, toilet seat broke as was the locks and even though it was only 7pm ursine on the floor and a real stench of urine. Sort this 1 issue and this is an amazing place to spend an evening.
