Clean fresh and welcoming local independent that serves uncomplicated fare for a very reasonable price. i dont want to criticise heavily because although its not my style of food it was perfectly ok for our needs on the day and close to our hotel. Plain, simple food in a pleasant surrounding. We prefer something more sophisicated is all.

The food and service in this place is absolutely amazing. Friendly staff plus amazing food means they have my custom every single time any of my friends or family want an Indian takeaway. 5/5 👌

Can't fault the service or the food - absolutely excellent. Yesterday was our second time eating here in the last few months, and we were equally impressed both times. The best steak for miles and also exceptional side dishes of mushroom risotto, Mediterranean vegetables and roasted new potatoes! Beautiful interior styling on the bar, relaxing ambience with candles and great music!

Having broken down on the motorway on our way to cornwall and stuck for 3 hours we were dropped at a local garage. As we were soaking wet and hungry we found La kage. Staff were very friendy and welcoming. Really polite staff and amazing service. Went out of they way to help get the kids dry and help warm them up. Absolutely amazing custom service. Definitely recommended La kage to anybody. Massive thank you for all your help

Was in Bridgwater, so had to visit the Bristol & Exeter, which I enjoyed once before. Watched a bit of the town's amazing carnival, then headed to this cosy little pub, with its small front room and another out the back through the yard. Being in a suburb on carnival night, it was pretty empty. It's not a real ale pub or anything, so I assumed I'd knock off a dull pint and leave. But it's one of those pubs that feels cosy and intimate even when empty, with its yellow paint and worn furniture, which includes a couple of old dining-room-style tables worth about a quid each. And the barmaid was chatty and friendly right from the get go, proving a charming hostess. I wasn't imposing convo on her--she was just a lively, warm person, a natural for the job. 31 years old, dark hair, fancy nails and jewellery, oversized grey T-shirt, holidays in Turkey. She made my evening. Some people did trickle in. They all chatted to me too. It's that kind of a friendly, comforting pub. I drifted back to the Mercure Hotel after 4 pints of Guinness, glad to have visited again.

We had a little issue in that we ordered via just eat for delivery, but then it was cancelled as they couldn’t deliver. My partner went to collect it, which took 50 minutes. However all was forgiven as the food was soo yummy. Really friendly service too. Massive portions, really well packaged and presented. All the food was really fresh and tasty. Will definitely pop in for some food sometime.

X2 family get- together and decided on Pizza, got to say 110 times better than Domino’s and order produced quickly, garlic bread was fab, and can highly recommend the ‘Somerset burger’. went out of their way to rectify a problem with a drinks order too. Will be using again, thanks guys!

Great food and really decent size portions, ordered over the phone with a very pleasant lady taking our order. Would definitely recommend the "Welcome Kitchen" to all.

Advertised as open until 8 it isn't, it's opened until 7. When I mentioned this staff were either aloof or rude. Was told to look at the sign on the door, and "It is was it is!". Poor! Coffee was average. Go somewhere else!

I placed my order at 7pm and was advised by the website 45 minutes for delivery. This was fine. 2 hours later my food had not arrived.. I called and called the shop - no answer. 14 attempts later the store eventually picked up when I queried where my order was I was told: “Yeah we tried to deliver but you didn’t answer the door” I’ve been sat in the window… nobody has been to my house. I was advised: “Yes we did there was a red car outside” There is no red car in my street, my car is currently the only one in my street and it’s grey. I advised the guy this and then the driver came onto the phone shouting and being very abusive to me accusing me of being a liar and that this was all my fault. The driver then shouted and swore at me down the phone saying: “Look I don’t give a s*** about your order” I asked to speak with a manager and was advised management weren’t in and I could either have my cold food re delivered or a refund. No apology for the driver shouting and swearing at me, no apology for the situation considering the driver clearly had the wrong address! I am a very loyal customer to shanzz and order frequently but the service I have received tonight is beyond shocking and I will never order again and will be sure to tell everyone about my experience.
