Walked in having been many times before, wife wasn’t sure where to sit as so empty. We ordered drinks and then the meal the owner/ waiitor went to kitchen and very loudly coughed up flem in the kitchen. We then picked up our drinks and napkins and asked to move to a table away from the kitchen to one of tje many empty tables, at which point the owner went into a total rant Of we could of picked any table when we walked in, my wife said have you not heard of customer services and he continued, we paid for our less than half drunk bears and left never to return again, after many years of dinning here.

Genuinely lovely experience!! My partner and I stopped in late about an hour before close and the staff kindly made up takeaway portions for our order, adding in a couple of extra little surprises as a gift. It was such a treat after a long day and as a random stop on our longish drive home. The achari chicken was my favorite selection. Tried it on a whim and the sauce was *chef’s kiss* so good. Such a lovely balance of salt, acid, spice, coriander, lime, onion, and so many other flavors. Savory and delicious. And the chicken chunks were large, and must have been caringly cut as they had none of the funny little bits of bouncy material chicken can sometimes surprise you with. My sweet husband wasn’t looking to try anything new tonight and even he thought the sauce was delicious after finally succumbing to my offers to let him try it. I popped back in for a bottle of soda to drink with a handful of change and the man helping us generously accepted what I had rather than having me pop out to the car to get the few extra coins. The feeling of generosity, humanity, and hospitality this place left me with, even end of night on a Sunday, was next level and is something you’d never get at a chain. Even if you have an eater with you who wants something familiar, they offer basic chicken strips and chips and those left my fussier eater a happy camper. The decor inside is classy and cozy; I hope next time we aren’t en route on a drive and might get a chance to eat in. :)

Livley meal friendly staff went here for my virthday meal. Had free complimentary shots and a ice cream cake with a candle on the top.

Meal for 1 tonight as I'm working away, I've been eating curries since I wasn't out of nappies, this was a bloody decent curry in an enjoyable atmosphere. Don't get me wrong it's not the best curry I've had, but for value for money, it's right up there. Popodum starter, Meat Madras (not Lamb), rice, 2 Chapati and a 660ml Cobra = £21. BARGAIN!!!! I must admit that the food was much better than its closest rivals. But the service was very slow and erratic. There wasn't much atmosphere except for a lovely Scouser that sang whilst waiting for his taxi...

We had a delivery via Deliveroo. Curry was good. I ordered a salad and a prawn cocktail which were packed in tin containers in with the hot stuff. I did eat some if the salad but the prawn cocktail had to go in the bin.

Excellent curry great service. What a find. We arrived at 10pm and they cooked us a lovely meal. We couldn't finish it all. Very thoughtful staff. Even asked if we'd like the a/c turned off when he saw me put a shawl on. (It wasn't cold!) Would definitely recommend

Placed an order via Just Eat, unfortunately the order was delivered incorrectly. Once we got in touch with the restaurant the whole order was replaced. Food was excellent and delivered hot. Management then followed up with a phone call to check everything was OK. Would recommend and will use again Please ignore negative review on Just Eat but can't delete it.

I'm afraid i don't have many positives to give this restaurant, the seats are uncomfortable, the food tasteless and cold. I would have asked for the food to be heated up but there wasn't anyone free to ask. The two waiters were busy taking takeaway orders on the phone. Such a shame as it used to be the best in Bridgy.

Had a pleasant evening meal ! Very helpful and friendly food was excellent even gave us a complimentary drink at the end. Thanks to Jay for the customer service nothing was a problem. Totally recommend this restaurant best Indian in town 👍

Luckily the food is worth waiting for even though it could be a little hotter (heat not spice) when served. We waited to place our order for drinks for 14 minutes then another 10 minutes to place our order. It was 1 hour and 15 minutes before we received our meals and were eating though many take away meals went out before we received our food. Shame really as there were quite a few people there for a Monday night. Many others had to wait too. We put it down to staff shortages n the restaurant and huge take away orders rather than anything else. The food was good, tasty and exactly what was expected. Here's hoping they manage to get more staff to deal with their customers in the restaurant soon.

The food was good not too expensive only fault ordered a pompadom on the menu 80p when the bill came they charged £1.75 so check your bill because of that i would not go there again

Ate here whilst in the area and the food was fantastic! Best Indian meal we have had in a long time. Staff friendly and helpful and definitely worth a try if in the area.

My husband and I eat at this Indian restaurant quite often and we have never had such authentic and tasty food. We order take away at least once a month and we are always pleasantly surprised in value for money. The food is so tasty and the gentleman who usually deals with us is more than helpful and always caters for our needs. We would recommend Elachi every single time. We had family Over this evening and it was absolutely Devine as always.

Popped in for a bite to eat before heading home. Was met by Jay who was front of house. A very friendly gentleman who was polite, professional, and very knowledgeable about the menu and food that was served . Oh and a wicked sense of humour. Food was absolutely delicious. There was also a lot of it.. what I left was kindly packed up for me to take away. Yes I’d definitely return.

ate here while on holiday in the area and it was amazing. staff very pleasant and attentive, food was delicious and cooked to perfection. Price was reasonable. Good chance we will visit again before going home.

So i ordered 1 x keema rice 1 x lamb tikka biryani and 1 x naga chicken marinated with a special sauce. Cost me £20.70 with 10% discount and they gave me drinks while i was waiting! Honestly really good people in there! Highly recommended ..Best asian restaurant in Bridgwater! I go Bridgwater for acouple of nights every month. Normally i look around and its always the regular kebab and chips or pizza. But this time im so glad i found Elachi! My new go to place evey evening now. Trust me you will not be dissappointed! Everything was cooked to perfection. You can tell them exactly how you want it and they cook it with love! Proper tastey with so much different spices 💙 Jay (the waiter in the glasses) ..if you read this mate just remember, you provided me with an excellent service and as soon as i stepped through that door you made me feel welcome. We ordered a takeaway late in the evening for delivery and 20 mins later the food arrived. It was beautiful. They even threw in some free sides!! Definitely recommend.

Food was very average, I had Tikka Masala which was very runny, lamb was tough. Naan bread was very chewy and hardly tasted of. any garlic! The whole place needs a good clean too especially carpets, toilets, the chairs are very uncomfortable and you can’t pull yourself into the table. The standards not good enough for a restaurant

Came here as staying locally for the night and read the great reviews. They certainly weren’t wrong! The staff were so friendly and welcoming and the menu options sounded delicious. We ordered and food arrived promptly and smoking hot. Delicious bhajis, lamb chops, currys and naans. Couldn’t fault anything at all and even something as simple as the poppadoms were crisp and fresh and served with lots of pickles! The staff were truly helpful and even gave us extra pickles when saved for the bhajis. Such a friendly local place that nothing was no trouble and offered complimentary drinks at the end, which were declined as not required but such a nice gesture. Can’t see a lot going on in Bridgwater but it’s good a wonderful restaurant! Come here instead of the high end steak house in the hotel!

Well what a great place! We came here purely because it was near by to a venue we went to for a show. However, it proved to be a fantastic place and we will definitely be coming back. The food was really tasty and we had great banter from Jay. It was a throughly fabulous evening. Well done guys you just got yourself some more regulars!

Me and my girlfriend went here for a Valentines dinner. Exceptional service, stunning food and great value for money. We were given a free drink at the end and my girlfriend was given a rose before we left which made her evening. One of the best restaurants we've been to, would definitely go back.

We were the only people in the restaurant for an early dinner on a Thursday 'Banquet Night'. Choice of food was very good and there was plenty of it. It didn't feel rushed, even though we were the only ones there. Service was efficient and friendly and overall we felt as though we'd had good value for money.

I only have take away as that suits my need ,, it is always delightful,, easy to order quick and friendly service,, I recommend this place ,

So a few weeks ago I ordered a take away for my daughters birthday....they totally messed the order up and I basically wanted £45.Assured my management it was a one off.Tonight I have my children again so I ordered again...I was given a discount as last time was so bad. Guess what.... messed up agan food missing and no rice... the is is shocking more spoiled family time and terrible service. Im been using these guys for 10 years. Sad to say I don't think I'll be using them again.....sorry only goes so far

I use this restaurant for takeaway and occasional sit downs on a regular basis and always get top rate service and fantastic food . The service to us has been second to none.

Ordered a takeaway, came to collect and was told that the 10% discount for orders over £15 was no longer valid as the qualifying amount was now £20 (I spent £19.55).The takeaway menu's on the counter still displayed the offer but the guy serving basically told me he wasn't interested and that I wasn't getting discount and that was at the discretion of the owners.My issue isn't the change of policy, it's the couldn't give a damn attitude of the server that's the problem.....I've used this restaurant pretty much once a week for over two years but won't be again, English Raj or Spice Gallery here I come.

We booked a table in advance for a long awaited meal with some very close friends, we arrived at 5:20 and had to wait almost 45 mins before our order was taken even though we had placed the menus down and made the usual eye contact. Our waiter *jay* was a very polite and helpful man and was the ONLY saving grace for service in this resturant. We then waited almost 2 hours for our food and that was only after prompting them and asking where our food was, as we had watched atleast 8-10 deliveries go out and another table have their dinner. They got our drinks wrong twice- that's 4x simple drinks wrong twice, including bringing vodka and orange when stating just a orange juice. At the end as we politely complained about waiting for so long for food so they offered us drinks "on the house" we said that was a nice gesture but we had to go as we have kids and needed to get back so they could knock a round of drinks off the bill- they agreed and then brought us over drinks - all alcoholic drinks which we told them we didnt order and explained what they had agreed, and then the owner refused to uphold and tried to charge us for the round of drinks and said he would let us off the drinks we didnt order, he got very aggressive with us including raising his voice, flicking the bill at us and insisting we paid the whole bill or he would call the police which was intimidating, unnecessary and highly embarrassing. As 4 women we felt very pressured and intimidated by this. He walked away 3 times whilst we were trying to explain they were charging for drinks we didnt order or drink.. in the end the waiter JAY, who was brilliant and clearly too good for the owner he had, explained to the owner we were correct and he felt as we did and the waiter took the drinks off and we paid for what we had. So will never return but felt it was a shame as the food was very good and the waiter brilliant, but the owners and terrible waiting times let the whole place down!

We ordered our takeaway on just eat just before 7.00pm tonight and its now 9.00pm and we’re still waiting! We called them twice and were told it was in its way. It’s far too late for us to eat now, I’m fuming! I’m guessing the good reviews were done by them!!! NEVER USE THIS RESTAURANT!!!

I ordered a take-away for 5:45pm and it was ready exactly on time. Really tasty food and a few little extras added as a bonus. I really recommend this restaurant.

Stopped off in bridgwater on the way to st ives ( we should have been in Greece),, We ordered chicken tikka starter and asked the guy if they could put it on a garlick naan to make a wrap to take away, It was absolutely brilliant, I f we are passing again will call in and probably go for chicken tandoori on the wrap.Great Naan lovely and fluffy freshly cooked..Great guy behind counter very friendly / helpfull

Decided to treat my wife to her favourite food tonight, been here a few times, also had takeaway a few times, usually very good, I'm not a lover of Indian food myself, don't do spices, never have, never will, my wife's food was up to their usual good standard, however the Omelette and chips with "fresh salad" was disappointing, I accept that English food is not their speciality, but come on boys do you really expect me to believe that you consider a salad to consist of 21 peas? Not that I've ever heard of a salad having peas anyway.

We used their delivery service for the first time and were well pleased. Although they charge for delivery, it arrived exactly at the time we requested, good food, plenty of meat, plus free poppadums! We will certainly use them again.

Placed an order tonight and it was the worse Indian food you ever tasted, rang them up and said its not nice I would like to bring it back to be shouted at down the phone saying we don't give fu##king refunds.I took it all back and sat in there for ages to be given just £10 and to keep the vile food. I made a pretty big scene and all the other customers were agreeing with me but for a business owner to be shouting at you f##k off in front of his customers really tells you what kind of business it is.

Myself and a table of 3 family members visted tonight and was greeted by the most attentive staff we have ever encountered. The restraunt was heaving and spirits were high for a Tuesday night. We thoughly enjoyed ourself's and the food was delicious.I can recommend tandoori lamb chops and onion bhajee as a starter and chicken Biriany for a main as mine was AMAZING. 10/10 Service10/10 Food10/10 Environment We will return!

Been ordering for a while food is good but last order was over 3 hours to deliver for no reason and arrived half hour after we cancelled it. Gave another chance tonight but was charged for delivery which never happened before and I live within 3 miles of the restaurant. When I queried this the so called manager lied and said always been 2 mile delivery from the beginning. He also didn’t mention this charge I called back to enquire about it price. I asked why on the menu it states free delivery ?? I cancelled the order I then got a call from some one else asking about the delivery I explained why I cancelled and was told they had changed the delivery and waiting for new menus. I explained last chap said said it was 2 miles since they opened. Not good customer service and can’t stand the lies or being ripped off.

I gave this brilliant a couple months ago... Now, it is pretty bad. Service is poor, food is poor compared... I don’t know what happened!

Highly recommend the food really is so good. Spicy chips are a must, love the dips. Every curry we have tried is cooked to perfection. Coconut rice is our favourite.

We decided on Indian because it was near our hotel. We were very surprised at how nice it was inside. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious.

We visited the Elschi on route to a gig on Friday night. It was early eve so no surprise to be the only guests. Very warm welcome from attentive and professional staff. Amazing food and I’m a serious curry critic. Tikka Madras was fantastic as was the rice dishes and Naan bread. Will definitely return

The Elachi was everything you could ask for. Lovely white table linen & fresh flowers on every table. The service was excellent and polite. The food was tasty & hot, and the individually wrapped warm hand cloths at the end of the meal was a really nice touch. This was our first visit to the Elachi but it won't be our last.

I was stopping at the mercure across the road more or less. Spotted this place and although it was wuiet it was very good. The Murgal curry was excellent.

At last, an Indian where the service doesn't pressurise you. It was fairly quiet there, but it was a Tuesday night. Went with my wife and youngest daughter (who is a vegetarian). I can't have gluten. All our dietary needs were catered for really well.

Another great experience, this time was takeaway and we sat and had a beer while we waited, very pleasant staff and the food once again spectacular, easily best Indian in town, don’t bother trying elsewhere, I’ve done the hard work for you.

This was our favourite indian restaurant ever. After our latest meal we will have to try elsewhere. Started poorly with stale poppadoms. Got worst with starters which normally are sizzling. This time they were lukewarm and the waiter more or less threw them on the plates. Halfway through this he had to ask another waiter about how much each of us should have. Main courses were ok but the Nan bread was not cooked properly. Will not be returning.

I’ve been going to the same Indian for many years that’s great and all. Trusty. But tonight Was my mums birthday. We saw this the other day walking around so thought we’d try it.

We have visited this restaurant three times for lunch and it has been excellent each time. The vegetarian thali is great. Friendly service. Will be back soon

A wee hidden jewel, eat here often, normally take away, tonight we sat in, so attentive without being over bearing, even allowed us to have a meal that wasn’t on the mains menu .......... the duck is to die for and what we couldn’t eat was nicely packed for us to have at home tomorrow....... hands down the best Indian in Bridgwater by a country mile

We went here for an evening meal and I was really pleasantly surprised. The food portions were very generous and I think the food was very fairly priced. The only down side was that the first waiter who came to take our order couldn't speak English very well at all, and so another waiter came over (Abs) who was amazing. I had a dietary requirement and he was so good at accommodating that and we had a great meal. If I went again I would ensure he was our waiter if possible!
