Thought I’d give this place another go after my first experience and it’s no better and is more expensive. Burger was so soggy that I couldn’t even pick it up! The roll was so soggy it had disintegrated! I had to eat with knife and fork and it made me feel queasy due to texture of it all! The chips were over cooked and the oil they were cooked in tasted cheap! For one person to spend £17.95 on a meal that was more like burger soup with very brown fries, I will never be trying again. Thank god I decided to try when my partner was out as the whole meal would have cost double! Why oh why can’t Swanage do things right! Is it where people come who can’t make it anywhere else? I’m not happy!

Really not that great. Not the best menu in the world, and service was soooo slow. They need to decide if they are an eat in restaurant or a takeaway. Trying to be both does not work. I don't like eating in with wooden cutlery and if in a group, as we where, all eating separately as, even ordering one after the other, the service was so slow, no one ate together! The food was OK. We won't bother again.

I think the last review highlights systematic dishonesty. 4 ice creams should have cost £22. We were charged £9 for a single ice cream which should have been £3.50. They issued a card refund ostensibly. Luckily I checked my online account which showed no refund. So not just an accident but practised scammers. Ice cream not great either! No real apology and not the first customer they had tried this on I’m sure.

What has happened to this once cracking pub!? Have been coming here for years …one of my favourite places ever. ..but it has gone badly downhill. The pub was not busy when we popped in for a pint of lager and a bowl of chips. Two pints, two really small bowls of barely warm chip cost £25.50!, What the actual?!. The chips were not even freshly cooked and had obviously been reheated.Shocking ….the chips were £6.40 A BOWL and were presented without any condiments at all. We were sitting in the garden but told we had to get our own condiments from the bar. Lager was tasteless. Honestly don’t wast your money ..a really costly and disappointing experience. Sadly I won’t be going back….

We spent an absolutely lovely hour at The Dolls House at Lulworth Cove. We were first tempted by the ice creams which surely must be the best in Lulworth Cove. Delightfully served by Zac and Nate I had a scrumptious cone with a generous dollop of strawberry and similar of honeycomb. My two friends had other delicious flavours. There’s ample and comfortable seating under large umbrellas so we sat and enjoyed the moment. We loved the ambiance so much that we stayed for tea and coffees. I really recommend The Dolls House. It has a great menu and lovely staff to look after you.

You can't beat a deep fried doughnut the old fashioned way. This is how doughnuts are made at the big successful doughnut giant stores... Krispy Kreme & Dunkin' Donuts before they're smothered in icing etc. £4.80 for 5 x doughnuts? Yeah, great... at least let people know that they are miniature doughnuts... I'm all about supporting small businesses and having checked the reviews of Swanage and its various restaurants and outlets I found Dino's. A fried chicken/pizza shop with a little doughnut stand by the front door and as a doughnut fanatic I just had to head over for a visit. It is placed in a prime location just off the high street and simultaneously off the seafront. So why are there almost no reviews and some bad ones? Why was the place empty? The summer season has just been and gone too. The fish and chip shop opposite was busy even though a fairly large percentage of their reviews state that the large fish are tiny fish with huge amounts of batter over them. Firstly... it looks like a kebab shop from 1988. Ok, that doesn't really bother me either but it WILL turn off the wealthy mums in their 4X4 AMG's/Q7's so thats them gone. Secondly... food speaks for itself... I didn't try the fried chicken but I did see it sitting there behind the glass looking a little sorry for itself. Not something I'd bring home to the wife... if I had one. Thirdly... and this is by far the most important and obvious point... nowhere does it say 'MINI doughnuts' or 'LITTLE donuts'. See my photo. Now for some figures... the doughnuts were little dainty dwarf doughnuts and at 5 for £4.80 I felt utterly ripped off. The 5 x mini doughnuts wouldn't equate to 2 x standard supermarket sized doughnuts. 5 x full sized doughnuts at Sainsbury? £1.20. Granted... they're not freshly fried in front of your eyes but thats is still a 1/4 of the price for more than double of the same product. Nothing wrong with the taste but the machine they were cooked in didn't look particularly clean, who knows how long the oil had been in it and along with being sneakily ripped off, being served doughnuts that were clearly for elves, I also had a stomach ache later on in the evening for hours, with Dino's being the only culprit. I have the strongest digestive system in the Western hemisphere too, a normal person would have been internally broken which would have consequently damaged the smooth running of the local sewer system. Unbelievable how some people operate...

Sorry to say the chinese I got last night was discusting. Beef rock hard..no taste....chow main tasted horriblelike it had gravy in it . Egg rice was brown rice with hardly any egg and tasted microwaved .and chicken balls doughy..most of it went in the bin...no where else open so risked it but never again..

After walking from the old harry rocks my friend and myself decided to go for a drink in Swanage. We stopped at the White Swan. I ordered a drink a pint of thatcher’s cider and a pint of calling £12.25 served by the gentleman on ordering another round an hour later the same round I was charged £10.85. I questioned this he had the audacity to say it was a custom and that because I ordered two drinks I got a discount what a copout because I pulled him up on it. He slammed out of the door. I couldn’t believe it. Even the bar staff looked round then on coming back down proceeded to give me dirty looks throughout very disappointing. I will not be visiting that pub again and I will let it known to people to check their bill.

We were travelling and called in here for breakfast and were allowed to take our dog in with us The staff were friendly and the loos were clean and we were able to park in the car park. Staff were super friendly. We enjoyed eggs Benedict and coffee which was quickly produced and good quality.

I stood at the counter while the man behind moved stock around and ignored me. When he eventually looked at me I asked for the order and he said £10.10, I pointed out that it was £10z. 10p for the carrier bag was the reply. So I said I didn’t order a bag. He was grumpy throughout and the place looks uncared for. The food was very average at best.

Went with a friend for fish and chips ,I don't recommend this place at all and the food is horrible fish was like mush and the chips were very dry we were not able to eat we were extremely disappointed ..... When looking the foor was very dirty and a young girl who was working needs to dress appropriately......
