The best restaurants in Cadbury Mid Devon South West

Popped in for their monthly curry night and had a really good homemade beef curry with a couple of real ales. Very reasonable priced compared to other pubs, so will definitely be back for more. A really nice authentic pub with a warm atmosphere. Bar lady was very helpful and made us feel very welcome, especially as it was our first visit.

Now a community pub run by village volunteers. Called in for Sunday brunch. Fantastic food (full English) and service. The pub (which has a traditional and homely feel) is a credit to the village.

My daughter had her baby shower at The Thorverton Arms. The venue was just right and we had the back restaurant to ourselves. The buffet was delicious and everyone complimented it. Thank you so much

We were welcomed into the dog friendly area. Warm clean and cosy. Drinks served hot and extra water for tea. We also ordered a breakfast and breakfast sandwich. Food was fresh and served hot. Large cake selection in cool counter. Gift shop is large and extensive. Nice place to visit

Great location nice pub and friendly staff. Unfortunately, since the last time I was here the food has gone downhill, and the price has gone up. Food was basic pub food. Not to bad but could do with some improvement. We would definitely be back for a drink or 2 but probably not for food unless they improve.

The staff were amazing, especially the lady who organised my Mum's 90th celebrations, nothing was too much for her or the chef. The event went smoothly and was faultless in all my extra and last minute requests (prosecco and glasses for 25? Not a problem). We ate in the bar the night before, as we were staying in our Motorhome in the car park, it was so cold this fabulous member of staff ( I didn't get her name, but she did anything and everything, if she isn't a Manager, make her one!) managed to organise a room for the next night, best £60 we have ever spent. Thank you all, we will be back again without hesitation.

First visit to the farm shop despite being reasonably local. The shop itself had a good variety of produce. The meat section looked exceptional. Made the fatal mistake of looking and then going to the cafe. Returned after a drink to find all the lamb burgers gone!! Oh well just means I’ll have to come back again. We had latte, hot chocolate and shared a chocolate brownie which was nice. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The cafe very light and airy. I liked the outdoor space and the fact sheep and cattle on display. There was a nice vibe to the place in general. In summing up I would recommend a visit and we will certainly be going back for a breakfast or lunch. We will also be be looking to buy more of our meat and vegetables from here.
