Not the most extensive menu, but what they offer is excellent, hot and tasty. Reasonably priced and friendly, helpful staff.

The tables were all clean and tidy. We were not told that we needed to add milk to our drinks at the counter and the server/volunteer watched me struggle with a tray with two drinks etc on it (and an armcrutch) without offering to help. She also watched me return for the milk jug with no comment. The menu was the usual snack bar fare but our cakes and sandwiches were fine. The cafe was not busy. There were only two others there. Clearer instructions and a bit more TLC would help.

The people running this did very well on a busy day, We enjoyed the paninis and I don't expect that anyone would expect "fine dining" from this. If you want a break and a snack as part of the visit then that is what it caters for, Otherwise bring your own picnic!

Part of the Devon Railway Centre, the Buffers cafe-tearoom seems to be run by volunteers. On offer are tasteless sandwiches with ham or cheese, paninis, cakes, short bread and special lunch boxes for the kids that include crisps and a jelly. Buffers is a typical cafe serving Instant coffee, tea, some juices and pop drinks. Inside are 6 or 7 tables with chairs or benches but service lacks and tables aren't cleared or left dirty. Outside the cafe, next to the terrace is a childrens playground and minigolf, tables and gardenchairs. This place has huge potential but for now we'll bring our picnic!

The pub’s setting is beautiful. Lovely sitting area outside by the river with live music in the background. Food is reasonably priced and lovely. Staff are friendly too. Highly recommend the place.

Why work in the service industry if you don’t want to be there? A smile and a nice greeting goes a long way. Just huffing and putting the drinks down with a bit of a slam is pervasive and unfriendly.

Best fish and chips we have had for a while. Fish very tasty and cooked to order, not at all greasy. Lovely chips with very big portions. By far, the best chippy in Tiverton.
