The best restaurants in Cinderford East Forest of Dean South West

We enjoyed breakfast here to celebrate a birthday, and were not disappointed. We chose the Light Breakfast, but there are plenty of options to suit everyone. A lot of the ingredients are sourced locally, and all cooked and presented beautifully. With a sweet shop as part of the business, it's possible to leave with an extra treat or two for later. Get yourselves down there!

I visit this restaurant pretty regularly and have always been highly impressed with the vast menu and great atmosphere. The staff are always keen to help and the service is fast and efficient. The food here is second to none with a daily specials board and home made sweets. The 2 chef's seem to enjoy healthy competition to produce the most mouth watering dishes and this leads to exquisite results. You must visit this establishment as soon as possible!

On holiday in the area, and as someone diagnosed with Coeliac Disease, I was delighted to stumble across the Cinderford Fryer, where everything is gluten free. Where I live gluten free fish and chips are only available on the first Tuesday of the month! The fish was cooked fresh to order, the service was warm and friendly and the food was still hot on returning to our holiday home 5 miles away where we thoroughly enjoyed it. The curry sauce was amazing. Cannot recommend highly enough 😊

On recommendation from friends we decided to get a takeaway meal for dinner last night. The food was excellent, incredible flavours, not at all greasy and the service was excellent

Came up from Cornwall to visit my family, my son treated me to fish and chips and curry sauce, living by the sea, i love fish, i must say it was the best fish I've eaten, cooked to perfection and not greasy, when i return i will definately be ordering more, well done, you have done your town proud

Not been here was a while usually go to Folk and Spoon. I thought the food was pretty poor compared to how it used to be! Had Cantonese style chicken, was really chewy and tasteless. Prawn Toast was soggy! Think I'll stick to Folk and Spoon .

Been coming here for many years and always been lovely but had a Indian tonight and it was disgusting had chicken Tika Masala and didn’t even taste like it the chips was rock hard and the nam bread was greasy and hard and hardly any meat in it

I have previously posted a review about bad quality food from pickapizza, that has been removed now as after not going there since I have started to get food again from here. Food since has been spot on and service has been brilliant. Im glad to say that the previous problems I have had with food has not happened again and it's clear the current manager/owner is dedicated to providing good food and service to customers.

Awful experience. Used to be great - friendly with good food. Today was terrible. Inedible food, shocking service. Will not be using again.

It was terrible tonight, have had good ones though, cold and a lot of money for very mediocre food, do better please, it’s a special treat for our family

A member of staff was very rude to me. Normally when I finish my coffee, I have the decency to put my tray on the serving counter. It doesn't require a huge amount of energy. It helps to clear the table for the next customer. As I did this, a member of staff laughed in my face without saying thank you. I didn't realise it was a weird thing to do. I was brought up with old fashion manners and values, and I thought I was saving them time. I complained in the store and I was completely ignored. Very rude, ignorant and unprofessional behaviour. They need to attend a customer service course asap and grow up. In future, I'll leave my tray on the table to avoid being ridiculed and laughed at.

Had a cockroach 🪳 in my hot chocolate here! It was sticking out of the sip hole in the plastic lid after I finished the drink. (Not a joke).
