On holiday in the area, and as someone diagnosed with Coeliac Disease, I was delighted to stumble across the Cinderford Fryer, where everything is gluten free. Where I live gluten free fish and chips are only available on the first Tuesday of the month! The fish was cooked fresh to order, the service was warm and friendly and the food was still hot on returning to our holiday home 5 miles away where we thoroughly enjoyed it. The curry sauce was amazing. Cannot recommend highly enough 😊

I’ve been meaning to try this chip shop for a year … it was divine 🫶 the best, freshest and tastiest fish I’ve ever had and I grew up on the Norfolk coast! The guy who served me was fantastic too thank you my partner loved his cod and chips and we will be back 💯

Fantastic Gluten Free fish and chips, Gluten Free Curry and Gravy were best I've ever tasted. Customer service was brilliant and friendly, even on a very hot day. We are staying in clamping pods nearby and very glad to have found thus place.

What a great find this chippy is! EVERYTHING is gluten free. Having read about this while on holiday, we enjoyed tasty, freshly-cooked fish and chips. The portions were plentiful, the chips hot and tasty, the batter delicious. My coeliac husband was delighted and also enjoyed a pineapple fritter as an extra treat. I also enjoyed my food. Please support this friendly venture. You're so lucky to have it on your doorstep.

Very good chippy! Has a large and interesting menu, and with everything gluten free it's a haven for coeliacs. Even the pies are gf and home-made. Good veggie options too, my husband loved the forest platter.

Excellent service. Chips were great. Fishcakes were delicious. Sausage was somewhat bland but OK. Love the peace of mind of an entirely gluten free dining experience. Heartily recommend.

Wow! Hands down the BEST fish and chips I have ever had. Fully gluten free which meant we were able to try whatever we wanted from the menu. Staff were excellent and the food and portion sizes were superb. Will 100% be coming back. New owners have done a great job.

Exceptional fish, sausage in batter and chips. My granddaughter who is celiac thought the food was amazing. Had to travel but well worth it.

Fab food, fast, fresh and sensible prices. All gluten free, I really couldn't tell it was gluten free, the batters are very tasty. Try the forest platter.

Not brilliant...Fish was thin, small and batter hard on the bottom, beans portion size was small and too the curry sauce, fish cake £4.00!!...Took the money then told they were dealing with a delivery so would be a wait...at least they got the order right this time as before they didn't....chips were nice though but best part of £30 for 2 meals not good enough

Spoke to the owner as we had found if difficult to find gluten free food in the area, everything he had was gluten free.

I would highly recommend trying their Jerk Chicken, Slaw and Rice n Peas. Available on a Friday and Saturday only. Off there today to try the curried goat, rice n peas and can't wait! Owner is such a nice guy and his kids too! Could do with takeaway menus though.

Stumbled across the Cinderford Fryer whilst away with work. I was amazed to find that their menu was Gluten Free, something that I really struggle with when away from home. Food was lovely and the staff were both friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Most definitely the best chips I've had in cinderford yet!! Great crispy batter on the sausage and never ever going for a large portion of chips again!! The young chap who was serving us gave us excellent customer service! Fab 5/5 chips and service...

My Aunt put an online order for delivery. Such a palaver, delivery option seemed to give only a number of dishes available. We only wanted fish and chips but the only option was to have gluten free. The email or website wasn't clear with when our order was on its way, for 20 minutes it showed the icons ordered, prepped and delivered and they were all green showing they had delivered it but hadn't. Then 15 minutes later it turned up literally just been cooked as it was very hot, he said they had to double check it was gluten free. I found the fish and chips very bland, no taste what so ever, very greasy and the batter was horrid. My Aunt also ordered pineapple fritters and she said they werent gluten free-whuch wasn't the problem as we didn't even want gluten free fish and chips but what was the point in them only allowing us to order gluten free fish and chips then given us normal battered pineapple fritters? Doesn't make much sense. This was the very first time i have tried food from this place and unfortunately i won't be going back.

Good fish, decent price and a healthy sized portion. I ordered the large fish as it isn't much more than the regular but it can easily feed two people or one really hungry glutton. Service was friendly and they actually made small talk while I waited. The fish comes with a choice of light or heavy batter which is a refreshing option.

Can't fault it one bit. The food is fantastic. A large portion of chips is very large and can easily feed 3 people. Great prices and excellent customer service. Well done all.

Exceptional customer service. Very rare to find a really good chippy but luckily have this one right on my doorstep! Would never think of choosing another chip shop! Excellent portion sizes to!
