The Silver Fox Café in Forest of Dean

Stopped for a coffee and scone both were good . Lots of history to the place . Sat outside lots of seating . Did not have to wait long . Service was very good price was reasonable .

A superb cafe on the edge of Newnham on Severn. Fabulous breakfasts utilising excellent ingredients.

Outstanding food which I have been informed is all home made. You have to try the crumble 🥰🥰🥰. The service and cleanliness is also outstanding. Biker friendly 😁.

Eccentric ....in a pleasant way.

A big wow, love it. Good staff, food and a couple of bikes inside. Empty when I arrived, full when I left. The Silver Fox, I did read, asked about the place. The property was bought and referbed but before that was empty, unloved and left. The food and hot drinks, nice. Going to stop again when on route.

My first visit on Saturday brunch time saw me hungry for a proper breakfast, and my appetite and expectations were fully satisfied. The big breakfast was fresh, well presented and very 'clean' for want of a better word. Value at twelve quid with a mug of tea is spot on. The staff are friendly and efficient and the atmosphere and decor is quirky and interesting whilst being light, airy and welcoming. The Silver Fox will become a regular experience for me!

Stopped here when on a ride out around the Wye Valley. Had a totally amazing roast dinner one of the best I've ever tasted. Great atmosphere and staff very helpful and friendly. Will definitely visit again !!😀

Having just had a very wet weekend at the site with friends. Why did we return it's a happy site with very good staff and access to some very good food should you feel the need. It's also dog friendly as are the staff. Looking forward to our next visit

Stopped here on the way back home on a rainy day. Absolutely lovely atmosphere, very cosy it feels like being at home or in a lodge somewhere remote and calm. Me and my mum enjoyed a plate of the carvery each (best roast ever) and washed it down with a lush coffee. Such a little gem of a cafe, will definitely be returning soon!

Stopped off on a motorcycle trip. A great place to eat with good old fashioned cooking. No nonsense fancy stuff.

We came here for lunch as recommended by NT staff from nearby Westbury Court Garden and we were not disappointed. It seems to be a popular spot amongst locals. Lots of food options and cakes to choose from! Decent Sunday carvery too - the veg sides were good! Staff were friendly and service was also quite quick.

overpriced for coffee and bacon sarnie was over 8 quid. I would order the big breakfast as that was 12 quid.

Out and about and we wanted a lite bite. Good menu and drink options. We had a coffee and hot chocolate. The later was really good, not overloaded with sugar and had good flavour. I'd go back just for the hot chocolate. Food came swiftly and all eaten. Soup of the day was delicious. Access is via a ramp which was great because one of our party struggles with stairs. Nice interesting decor and clean. Space outside too which was popular. Will definitely visit again when in the area.

We stopped by for Brunch on 05/05/24, food was great and service is very good, a very pleasant experience. The only negative is the car par needs some repairs as getting some pot holes in it and thats not good for bikes.

We had a Sunday carvery with our son, good food at a good price, it is also good for bikers as well there's an old Triumph and Ariel in the cafe. I can't rate rooms because it's a cafe not a hotel.

Delightful. Really nice stop for coffee, cake and scone. One of the few places that give spare water with a pot of tea. Looking forward to going back and trying the hot food menu and Sunday carvery.

For value for money, great service and a good atmosphere can’t be faulted. Caters for all requirements e.g. gluten free, veggie, vegan and carnivore. It’s good so expect it to be busy but with their efficient service you won’t wait long

I got my car washed and while I waited we went to the cafe, the menu is extensive and all of the staff are lovely, attentive and caring. Plenty of parking & choice.

Not sure about the rooms, but the cafe itself is very quirky, service amazing and quick. The tables were clean! It is so rare nowadays! The cafe located right next to the main road, so if you are sitting outside, road dust will be your extra on the plate. Food was great! The only downside is parking lot-I thought we arrived at the wrong place, because the parking lot looked very rough and untidy.

Wish i visited here sooner. Such a lovely place, friendly and polite staff. I will be visiting again soon to try some food.

Stopped off here on the way back from Cinderford having meant to on numerous occasions. This time we decided to try it out and we weren't disappointed. The breakfasts are very fresh and hot and reasonably priced. The decor is wonderful and the music was great.

This cafe is off the busy A48. So it's a great location to stop along that road. I'm not sure where the accommodations are, possibly camping in the summer? The cafe is decorated nicely and clean. We had brunch at 11 as they have all-day breakfast, which is great! It is, however, a standard breakfast nothing too fancy. The prices reflect that. The food was very good, though. 😋 The coffee was also good. We will definitely be back! 😀

Just visited this amazing cafe by the river and it was a delightful experience. The decor is cool and inviting, creating a perfect ambiance for a relaxed outing. The staff are friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive vibe. Food here is simply delicious, each dish leaving a lasting impression. And the music? It's just the cherry on top, enhancing the already wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone in the area looking for a great cafe experience. Definitely a must-visit spot!

One of those places where you walk in, no staff say hi and you are not sure to wait to be seated or find own table, then not sure if someone takes order or go up to counter. That could be sorted easily. Food was lovely but staff forgot to prepare drink order. A bit hit and miss.

First time I've managed to stop here. I ordered the cheeseburger and fries with a black coffee. I know it was a weekday lunchtime but the service was Grade A. Very polite, very quick. The food was delicious although grated cheese is not what i expect on a burger. And, what is the fascination with coleslaw everywhere these days. If I wanted it, I'd ask for it. Otherwise 10/10. If you're interested, even the loo was spotless! Loved it, once I've fixed my bike I'll be back for more 👍💪

Called in for food made very welcome staff very friendly soup of say was great and ba on and brie buttie was also very good would recommend calling in its quite quirky with bikes kayaks in cafe along with all there history

Nice to have this classic place back open again, stopped for a coffee and a sliice of cake. Good service, food was delicious, and not a single drop spilled for the very full lattes. Cannot complain in any way. Will definitely be popping back in in the near future :)

Brilliant location for a motorcycle ride out. The cafe has a welcoming atmosphere and plenty of parking space. Customer Service is pleasant, and the food is fantastic. A plentiful range of desserts for the sweet toothed. I shall be returning.

Completely overpriced £10.65 for a baguette 1 sausage 2 bacon Mushrooms 3 slices of tomato Food wasn’t that nice and would not recommend at that price. Feel robbed.

BIKER FRIENDLY Great to see the old place back, not been there for a few years, new owner is a good chap, interest in old British motorcycles and Air Ambulance Charity, didn't have food, but coffee was good and inexpensive, service was good too, lots of people there so must be popular. The old pink couch has gone. The car park is gravel (no change there) so if you're on a motorbike be careful.

Great atmosphere with a couple of lovely old bikes in the cafe. Plenty of outside seating as well and under cover in the marquee. The staff were excellent and really looked after us. The food was delicious, proper chunks of steak in the steak pie XxX

Had tea and a smokey bacon bap, sitting outside at a table with umbrella on a hot day. Inside lots of sweet treats !
