It was terrible tonight, have had good ones though, cold and a lot of money for very mediocre food, do better please, it’s a special treat for our family

Absolutely awful. Have been eating semi-regularly from this Chinese for the best part of ten years. Approximately two years ago this was a fantastic Chinese takeaway with consistently lovely tasting food. Ever since then it has drastically depleted on the quality and every single dish I have had in the past six months has been dreadful. Tastes nothing like any of the food we came to love. It’s also drastically overpriced for the poor quality they are serving. I have to take a portion of the blame for keep ordering from them hoping it will change. The only positives are the staff are polite and friendly and the delivery is swift. Won’t be ordering from them again. Today is the last time. So disappointed. Avoid!

This place a joke only half order and small portions and cold food would not go here again ever and almost 40 pounds for hardly anything

I ordered food for the whole family and my dad ate his beef curry and started feeling really ill and said his beef was really tuff and didn’t seem right it’s made him dizzy and sick I wouldn’t recommend

Possibly the worst Chinese that we have ever had. Everything we ordered was horrible the portions were small and you'd be lucky if the containers were 3/4 full. I'll definitely stick to our usual from now on who are cheaper, 100x tastier and the portions are double the size

A consistently high standard of Chinese and English food at great prices. Orders are prepared very fast for collection or delivery.

Gone seriously down hill, last time I spent £40 and the chips was over cooked and disgusting, chicken balls had been over cooked and they have started putting less in! The only nice thing was the beef chow mein. Waste of money

Sweet and sour chicken came as chicken balls, made from reconstituted meat and over-fried. Sauce was basic and tasted like tinned sauce. King prawn Foo Yung was tasty, but only 6 King Prawns was lame at best.... Get 9 to 10 in our local. Fried rice was mediocre at best. At £9.80 for these 2 meals, we were very disappointed to say the least. On our next trip to the area, we will find food elsewhere, as I suggest everyone does.

The special friend rice is not traditional. It came in a tub quarter full with rice and then the rest is sauce and toppings. Not a side dish for my sweet and sour chicken it’s just another main in my opinion. Which was disappointing as I had to cook my own rice… If you like rice as a side then stick to basic egg fried rice or boiled.

Not good…Used to be but not anymore…Customer service is not good either as told not to order again if we dident like it..To be a good business you need to fix what you do wrong..Won’t be using again which is a shame 😕

Very poor effort from this Cinderford takeaway.Normally order form Magic Wok who send great food but on a Sunday you get The Fork & Spoon instead.Rang then and they said” You don’t get a full Portion of Chips if you order Chicken & Chips” Followed by if you don’t like it don’t ever order from us again” 🤣 Shocking so now know to avoid on a Sunday and stuck to The Magic Wok and China House

Usually a reasonably good Chinese and when it is good it’s great, however last night was very disappointing, the duck in black bean sauce was just floating in grease and the spare ribs were just gristle and bone with very little meat on them, I can say I have never had such terrible ribs, they looked like the off cuts that should have been thrown away. Come on fork and spoon these really let you down. On the positive side food was hot and delivery was quick.

Good value, enjoy the food from here and would recommend

Me and my partner often used to get takeaway from the fork and spoon but haven’t been back in over year because of a very unsatisfactory meal. Normally the food is okay but this one time my egg fried rice stunk of cigarettes. It also tasted like cigarettes and my partner agreed. Possible the chef was smoking as cooking and some ash fell in but I can’t say for sure. Just an assumption of what may have been the cause.

2 days in a row with there food tasting chemically no hygiene they sanitised the food not the work top dont go there people

Ordered takeaway for the first time tonight from Fork and Spoon. Amazed at how quick the delivery was,food was piping hot and really nice. Would definitely order again.

Usually really nice but ordered last night and all of the meat was extremely low quality and extremely chewy had too bin all off it couldn't even chew the beef in the curry waste off money could have made better myself unfortunately.

We normally settle for a menu a and a menu b plus a few bit and this is good food for a fair price and plenty of it.

One of the better Chinese takeaways and very reasonably priced. Great meal deals during the week and the set meals are also great. Lady who usually serves is on the blunt/bordering on rude side, but you can put up with her for the savings made!

This is our regular chinese takeaway. Its not the best quality but it very good for the price you pay, especially with their regular deals. For a family wanting a takeaway without spending a fortune this is perfect. The Cantonese Sweet and Sour Chicken is our favourite!

Excellent food, generally have a dish with King Prawns, Foo Young, battered, Sweet and Sour along with a special fried rice with sauce, delicious every time, use this takeaway a lot.

Ordered takeaway this evening, must say not up to usual standard, chips were tepid along with sweet and sour! Tasty but really should be cooking fresh, was delivered within 15 mins of ordering, why is it not piping hot, I guess cooking popular dishes in advance! Tastes how it should when freshly cooked. Great delivery service though

Value for money with tasty food. Shame Singapore rice noodles and crispy seaweed aren`t on the menu though.

The take away was nice but my husband did not check the contents so we had some one else's sauce and not our noodles! Fortunately the salt n pepper chicken was delicious and the special fried rice had lots of meat and veg. Our daughter had English chicken chips and gravy and apparently they were the best!

We went for the Wednesday mega deal which is great value, used to go to lotus but this is far better. Shall be returning more & more.

Top place, friendly staff, quick delivery - Crispy chilli beef is, as someone else has stated, is sublime! Well worth a visit or a phone call if you're living or staying local

We ordered a chinese for delivery, as advised by a friend to try it. It arrived well under the time they promised and food was delicious and very reasonable. Will definitely use them again!

We have used this takeaway on at least 9 occasions and have always been very impressed with the quality and flavour. Especially the Crispy Chilli Beef. Polite staff too

Myself and some friends decided to order from Fork and Spoon in Cinderford on a Monday night (assumed wouldn't be busy). We received our fairly large order and began eating when we noticed a dead wasp in the box of spare ribs! We called the takeaway straight away and the guy on the end of the phone was refusing to understand what was being said to him. He then said we would have to take it to the shop to show them (originally ordered as home delivery). We refused so they said they would deliver fresh ribs. Needless to say we didn't want anymore food! The ribs were collected and they would only refund us the £4.80 for the ribs. The driver who collected didn't say anything, no apologies and said "no worry". It was awful customer service along with horrendous food. Fork and spoon have lost our custom for life and I would recommend everyone to stay away. Rude staff and a disgusting find.

Have been using this takeaway for a couple of years and the food and service never disappoints! Have recommended it to family and friends who agree with me that it's really nice. The food is very reasonably priced and the portion sizes are very good.The food is always cooked well and the staff very friendly. Had a takeaway from here whilst staying in Mitcheldean after reading the reviews on here and it did not disappoint!As it was Wednesday we were intending to go for the Wednesday £15 deal but after reading the set meals we both wanted the £11.50 meal which included 6 mini spring rolls, large egg fried rice, chicken with mushrooms, beef in black bean sauce and chicken balls! All stuff we love and for a really great price!Only took 5 minutes and was absolutely piping hot, got back to our cottage and didnt need to reheat it as you sometimes do when travelling a couple of miles. My partner is always unhappy with something when we get a chinese and even he was happy so thats really saying something.If I could only move it to Honiton I would have Chinese every night!

I absolutely love the sweet and sour sauce from here its the only place I go for a Chinese now. You cant fault any of the food and it is very cheap they do meal deals aswell which are great value for money and you dont have to wait long either. I would highly recommend.

Value meals r cheap filling and so tasty. I love the chicken ball the batter is perfect nom nom. I am a regular there but I have noticed the curry has gone abit too spicy for my liking. Great food tho clean and friendly cheap meal if u want to treat u and ur partner if ur on low income so tasty im off there tonight for a meal cury value meal :-) I will enjoy

My daughter requested a chinese meal for a holiday treat and so we turned to Trip Adviser for advice. The Fork & Spoon had some of the best reviews and so we ordered our food by phone to be delivered. Unfortunately there are no menus available online so we had to guess what might be available but all the usual dishes seemed to be there and the staff were helpful.We ordered chips for our younger children as they tend to be fussy eaters and the portions were very large. The other portions were also very generous in size.The food was hot, tasty and arrived faster than the estimated delivery time. We thought the chow mein was particularly good.A very nice family meal - I would order from the Fork & Spoon again.

The fork and spoon is very convenient for me as I live in Cinderford. The service is always very good and very quick. I literally have been ordering the same thing off the menu for the past couple of years (salt and pepper chicken)! It always seems very clean, and I'll continue ordering from there.
