Traditional old stone pub in an appealing Cotswold village. Owned by the Donnington Brewery, this is probably their closest pub to the brewery and stocks their excellent range of Cotswold ales. Popular with both locals and visitors to the area, there a great pub atmosphere. The single bar is L-shaped and has an upright piano in one corner - we didn't experience this in use at our lunchtime visit and I'm not sure when exactly it comes into play, but there must be a cracking atmosphere when the place is full and the piano is going at full swing. The menu is on a blackboard so varies regularly and offers a decent selection of reasonably priced straightforward and more interesting dishes, so there is always something for everyone and you may be surprised and delighted to see what is on offer. There is usually a curry or spicy dish available, and not bog-standard chicken tikka masala, and such like, that you find on many pub menus. They also do sandwiches at lunchtimes. Service is friendly but not the quickest. There are a few outdoor tables on the patio at the front of the pub.

Nice friendly atmosphere and lovely staff. Lunch menu not huge but its quality that counts and they have it. My wife the quiche and I had the pie of the day.. To full for a dessert so ordered cake to take home - yum The view across the Cotswold from their conservatory is great.

The Horse & Groom is a fantastic pub!! We were taken there for by some friends who were singing it's praises. It exceeded expectations. The pub has a lovely feeling as soon as you walk in. There are several well-kept real ales. The local Donnington Brewery best bitter was outstanding. We had lunch, we had the Venison cottage pie which was amazing. Big chunks of succulent Venison in a delicious rich gravy, topped with cheesy mash. It was fantastic. Great staff, great service, the Horse & Groom ticks all the boxes. Can't wait to return. Thank you folks.
