So enjoyed our lunch today. Really warm welcome and the food was excellent. In fact, everything on the menu was tempting, it was difficult to select. Would highly recommend for its food, friendliness and great Cotswold surroundings.

We came to the Coach and Horses in Longborough for dinner on our first night of weekend break in the village. Despite arriving early, they had run out of our first choice meals, but the waitress only told us 25 mins after we ordered - making for a lot of wasted time. At the end of the meal she also scraped the leftovers at the table, which was both unpleasant and unprofessional. The next day we came back to the pub watch some Six Nations rugby. The atmosphere was noticeably unfriendly, with the landlord treating us (i.e. outsiders) much less politely than the regulars when we went to the bar to place orders. As we left, we accidentally left the front door ajar, which several others had done already because the door was very stiff. We were shocked (and even a little bit shaken) when the landlady came to the door to shout a rude and sarcastic comment after us as we walked away along the lane. That kind of treatment is not what you expect from an establishment you've just bought £30 worth of drinks from (and £80 worth of food the night before). It left us with a very bad taste. If you are staying in or passing through Longborough, our advice is to skip the Coach and Horses and find a more welcoming and professional place to eat and drink elsewhere.

Lovely, warm welcome. Food was fabulous and staff very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We booked for lunch, having walked from Moreton-in-Marsh. Lots of options available to add this stop into your walk. Would definitely go back.

If you’re looking for the perfect Sunday roast, look no further. My friend and I turned up last Sunday, 3 September, (my birthday) for an early dinner, unfortunately we were informed that last orders for food was at 4pm. We arrived at 3 minutes past but the landlord happily took our order and we were served one of the best, sumptuous, delicious roast meals I’ve ever had. My friend had the chicken which was a small mountain of meat, floating on a Yorkshire pudding and roasties. I had the lamb which was melt in the mouth and we were served baton carrots, cabbage and cheesy leeks which were freshly cooked and steaming hot, with lashings of gravy. Absolutely hit the spot, and fantastic value for money. My little puppy was welcomed too and she enjoyed the lamb and left over bits of chicken as well. Highly recommended.

Excellent Sunday lunch. Our Walk-in was accommodated by friendly host and we were served a generous portion of roast beef dinner with selection of accompaniments to complement the succulent beef. Warm apple cake a great finish!

We were visiting Sezincote House and wanted a nearby pub for lunch so we booked the Coach And Horses. The pub itself is a wonderful classic Cotswold stone pub, the staff were friendly and efficient, and the menu is interesting. The Portuguese pork cheeks was exceptionally good, and being a Donningtons' pub the beer is excellent. Parking is on the road and we had no trouble in finding somewhere. If you are in the area this is highly recommended.

Extremely helpful landlady who kept the kitchen open for us after its closing time as she saw us coming up the hill. Nothing was too much trouble for her. We all enjoyed our food which was delicious and plentiful. Nice seating both indoors and outside. We shall return.

What a great Pub. Came here for dinner on a Tuesday night. The bar man was incredibly friendly and welcoming, took the time to look after us. We had a wonderful meal which was fresh and beautifully cooked. It was so good we came back the next night and were not disappointed. The food is reasonably priced. You can tell it is cooked to order, service is friendly and pub really quaint. Definitely recommend it.

Owlswick morris once again returned to the coach and horses for our excellent may day breakfast. The welcome , service, full english breakfast, plus tea/coffee and toast was excellent as usual. The new gents and ladies toilets are really perfect of a 5 star hotel quality. We danced as usual outside the pub to the delight of the locals. We will always return for our excellent, brilliant breakfast to such a brilliant, amazing ,wonderful, friendly village pub. Who also serve excellent Donnington beer.🤗

After a day out at Hidcote Gardens, we followed the brown signs (Coach & Horses) off the A424. The public house is situated on the road side in the village (1/2 mile), we were made to feel very welcome, although it might not be the place to go for a quick bite, it was not slow service, but relaxed. We will certainly visit again, as the food was excellent and well presented. I hope this post encourages people to visit this pub and others like it, as they are well worth the turn off the main road. As a plus the pub welcomes dogs

The staff were friendly, the food was nice, we booked a Sunday lunch. It made a lovely change to decide if you wanted a small, medium or large roast, we settled on a medium and this for us was the right size. The choice of roasts we had were turkey, beef and lamb and we all had one each and they were cooked perfectly, as were the potatoes. Plenty of space for the dog too. Car parking is on the side of the road. My only negative is the knives were a bit blunt cutting the meat.
