Went for sunday lunch and most pleasantly surprized at quantity and quality of food. Glad pre booked as would not have got a table. All tables in constant use and table booking only available for 2hours. Car parking on village Road. If infirm slight slope and steps might be tricky. Service friendly and efficient. Range of beers local to area and interesting wine by glass list. Pork/ lamb/beef choice for 14.00 quid Puddings around 7.00quod but good size, rich and decadent. Vegetables came seperate and well cooked and seasoned. Ramekins came for individual sauces and small gravy boat. Very busy local pub atmosphere. Intend going back to try weekday menu.

Out exploring and googled searched pubs. Random find, came off our route, and ended up this beautiful village pub. I'm fairly nervous about new places, but my nerves needn't have bothered. The pub had a very friendly, welcoming atmosphere. We were served in a timely manner, and they found us a table. The other customers were friendly too. The toilets were outstandingly clean and fresh. The pub had a nice rustic and friendly atmosphere. The food came out, and boy, it was yummy. My partner had salmon to start, and we both had the chorizo and pork burger. We were not disappointed. Well presented and tasty, too. Overall, despite my silly nerves, it was a great finish to our day. We both loved this pub.

Starters and mains were better, tastier, more genuine than you get in most restaurants, but not pretentious just wholesome. (Desserts looked amazing too.) Small, genuine pub with honest service. Cosy enough bar area, totally unWetherspoonsified unlike the vast majority of remaining pubs, and no contrived junk on the walls, just felt like a naturally evolved pub. Probably the best toilets I've ever seen in an English pub. And very important: a good pub dog wandering around. 5-star pub. 6-star dog.

In the deep Cotswolds countryside a lovely old village pub visited for Sun lunch. Off the beaten track new owners provide super friendly helpful staff. One very young waitress needs some training on how to give cutlery to customers for hygiene purposes but the only staffing complaint. We all drank soft drinks so cant comment on beer or wine quality. The roast meal provided lots of choices lamb, beef, pork, venison, chicken at £13 a plate with vegetables served separately. A smallish serving dish between three of us cabbage carrots and creamed leeks all cooked well though not hot. Two of us had the venison which was over cooked no pink tenderness in sight laid over a few roast potatoes with a small Yorkshire and gravy. Extra jug of gravy too. My husbands lamb was cold thinly cut and overcooked. Disappointing. Plates were not very hot nor was the meal but we were hungry. Pudding gave a choice of three hot desserts and a Lemon possett with JAM topping very odd and half a shortbread biscuit. This was the star of our meal. The pub filled up quickly with locals and cyclists. The big no no was how cold the pub was in the dining area with heating at a minimum. This meant we did not linger. Much to address for success to continue. Good luck.
