What a wonderful place! We came here twice during our stay in Cirencester. We shared a pizza for appetizer. They were happy to substitute salami for mushrooms on our pizza. Grilled salmon was very good. Seafood pasta and the other two paste dishes we ordered were also very tasty. Wine good as well. I think our waiter's name was Matteo. He was very attentive and kind.

We had our 21st wedding anniversary at La Passione last week. The service, superb. The food, superb. The ambiance, superb. I would strongly recommend this restaurant.

I had a party of 11 here for a school trip and they met my every need and expectation from my first email to the night of the meal. The prices are fair and portions generous. The atmosphere was cozy and authentic Italian and every aspect of the meal remarkable for me, my staff, and the children.

Lovely Mother's Day meal. Authentic food in a super atmosphere. Friendly staff and even a complimentary glass of fizz to celebrate. Couldn't fault.

Service was good, but the food was decidedly average. Dare I say it lacked passion. Presentation was sloppy, dumping tabs of butter into a shared starter just gives it a thrown on a plate feel. Having premade deserts in the fridge across from the men's toilet doesn't feel very professional. I also deeply hate mandatory 10% service charges. It suggests you don't feel your clients will value your product enough to pay.

Was made to feel welcome from the start, friendly but professional staff who knew the menu and were able to make recommendations. Food excellent and prices reasonable. Relaxed atmosphere too, with unobtrusive background music - all in all a perfect place to eat after our journey to Cirencester.

Quaint restaurant in the town centre of Cirencester. Well catered for, fabulous food and were well equipped to for our party of 10.

Went in for the lunch special two courses for 17.95 UKP so great value.

Well this was a nice surprise! We were looking for a last minute dinner and this didn’t disappoint. Drinks were served within minutes and the dinner was delicious. Our server (didn’t grab his name) was so good also, kudos for him!

Ordered the carbonara as a takeaway dish. Service seemed great. The dish was average and quite greasy.

In the area for a few days and is now typical, we try to find a local independent Italian restaurant. The food was tasty, well presented, good portion size and obviously fresh. The menu’s pretty broad with good options. If you don’t fancy pasta, risotto or any or anything off the ‘secondi’ section then there’s always pizza! The starters and desserts had half dozen or so options. During our visit there was ‘special’ too There were 5-6 staff working. For the number of people in (18:30-20:30 Tuesday evening in Nov) it felt like twice the amount needed. This resulted in the staff hanging around a corner of the restaurant not looking particularly happy to be there. Service generally was very good but the ‘mood’ wasn’t unnoticed by either me or my partner, I heard the table of people next to us also make comments about ‘interrupting the girls’ Despite this slight (and only negative) I’d recommend a visit and will go back myself if I’m ever in the area again. Free car park close by made the visit very easy.

It was tasty food and the service was good BUT I felt like we'd been fleeced when we left. I honestly don't mind paying for soda water even though it comes out of the soda tap but £3.45 for each pint of soda water is just ridiculous for something that other establishments will provide for free. Also I only got two meatballs with my pasta. Tasty food but will not be going again.

Looked up reviews online for a good place to eat and this place came highly recommended, and I can see why! A real passion for detail (no pun intended) and food was delicious. Their weekday lunch menu was fantastic value for money and I’m only disappointed that I didn’t have room for dessert. Service was fast, friendly and excellent. Will definitely be back

Very good food, good portion sizes and selection. I had the lasagna and my partner had risotto (highly recommended), and enjoyed ourselves! The service was very friendly and helpful as well.

We had a family lunch here on a Sunday to celebrate my wife's birthday. It's the first time we have visited, but we'd definitely go back. The décor was very good, creating a relaxed and cosy feel to the restaurant. Service was excellent, nothing was too much trouble and the team were all attention, helpful and professional. The food was great. The menu is sufficiently varied to be able to cope with a variety of tastes, so long as they enjoy Italian food. We had a variety of food, pasta al forno, pizza, risotto as well as home made tiramisu for dessert and everyone really enjoyed their food. Positioned in the centre of Cirencester, this is a very good, non-chain Italian restaurant that we'd be happy to visit again.

What more can I say, great food, great service, and great atmosphere. We took our son, daughter-in-law, and two grandsons. It was a perfect evening, and we will do it again .

Great food, friendly staff and quick efficient service

Another lovely family visit, tasty food, super service, fantastic location.

We stopped in Chippenham on our way south after a day trip and were tempted by the look of this Italian restaurant. We had no booking but were shown to an upper room, which was empty, but soon filled up with other diners. After ten minutes we were able to place our order. Then we waited, and waited some more. Others around us were served, and we still waited, until the waiter came and apologised that our order had been mislaid! We had to place our order again, and now it was 40 minutes since we had arrived. After another 25 minutes we finally got our meals and more apologies from the waiters. The food was average at best and combined with the long wait, we were not entirely happy when we left. They had indicated that we would get a discount, but I only saw that we had not been charged for just one £4.70 side salad. Never mind. We are not often in Cirencester and unlikely to be back.

Nothing authentic about this place. My one star is one too many! Worst meal during our holiday. Food far below average, nothing to do with the Italian kitchen. Overpriced. Winelist is a shame (only grape is mentioned, no year, no winehouse). But many people do not seem to bother…

Food was delicious but we didn't realise that they start closing at 21.30 so meal was a bit rushed, no time for coffees and night caps. Also they were slow on offering us drinks. Our table was booked for 8pm. So overall suggest booking no later than 6.30/7.00pm if you want the whole experience.

One of the best Italian restaurants I have eaten at. The staff are extremely polite and friendly, the food was served very quickly and was absolutely fantastic. Extremely authentic Italian restaurant theme, with Italian music to boot. It was very pleasant experience.

Quiet little gem Lovely food service impeccable Great little couples meal

Welcoming atmosphere in an obviously popular restaurant. Delicious food and attentive and polite servers.

TLDR: Large generous portions, fresh and tasty produce, reasonably priced and authentic. I would highly recommend. We ordered the Bruschetta Napoli, Risotto alla passione, pizza Rossa and spaghetti carbonara. We couldn’t fault a single thing. The ambience of the place was amazing and you feel like you are transported to Italy. For a Monday evening, the restaurant was packed even though the streets were empty and quiet. The Bruschetta starter was a great opening to the main course as the tomatoes was super fresh and sweet. There was a generous portion of seafood including large chunks of salmon in the risotto but watch out for the green chillis and they were quite spicy (although if you love spicy this is perfect for you and I enjoyed it!). The roasted peppers on the pizza rossa was super sweet again showing off their great ingredients. The carbonara was super creamy and smooth. I would definitely be visiting again!

The food was good and service was the same. Was kept waiting a while before being seen and seated. So only reason for one less on service. Had carbonara which was great.

Very good food if a little too hot straight from the kitchen. Very good value meal and house white wine. 10% service charge included in the prices on the menu.

Father's day lunch. Calamari, linguine with Salsica and Tiramisu. All very good. Pasta dish with sausage was plentiful of sausage and sauce. The only downside is that there is a service charge 10%, I think.

We almost turned around after seeing all the mistakes on the menu. I’m glad we stayed as I liked my linguine ai funghi without cream. My Italian partner was not as impressed with the pasta or the pizza. We agreed on the nice interior and good and fast service.

We had an impromptu visit to this lovely restaurant whilst travelling home from Wilts to Worcs a couple of weeks back. The welcome, the attentive service, the quality of food & the atmosphere were excellent. We will definitely make a plan for an overnight in Cirencester to be able to enjoy this wonderful restaurant again. Thank you all.

Went out for an evening meal in a party of 8 last night it was perfect from start to finish. Had booked because there was so many of us . The young man that looked after us was very professional Fully recommend. Excellent food . The desserts were amazing .

Had lunch here as part of a large group during a team build. We were made to feel welcome from when we entered and drinks were swiftly dispensed followed very quickly after ordering our food. No one left anything which was a good sign and everyone said we should do it again soon. A really enjoyable afternoon with some great reasonably priced food. Thank you

A broad menu, delicious & excellent service 👍

This lovely Italian in Cirencester has a great menu selection. The food is tasty and plentiful, and food arrives hot and is efficient without compromising quality. We have visited half a dozen times and enjoy extended family meals, too. I've tried a number of meals on the menu and all are great. The desserts are fab and tasty, try not to over due it with starter and main. You can't go wrong with the mouth watering garlic bread with mozzarella, garlicky, crispy crust and a nice toasted base.

Super beautiful location. A pleasant atmosphere Service was fast and very communicative about the menu. Likewise, the food came in perfect time. I can say that the menu is great, you can find absolutely anything you want. And the taste is super tasty. It deserves a try . I will come back with great love.

Had a lovely family dinner at La Passione. Both kids and parents were very happy with the quality of the food. The small portions for kids were great.

We were visiting Cirencester and this restaurant looked very nice and cozy from outside so we booked for our last night to eat dinner. As soon as we arrived, even though there were 3-4 tables for two downstairs, the waiter brought us upstairs and we were put in a small room without any music next to a family with two children. The food was quite ok but overall we did not like the service and the ambience at all.

At first glance la Passione is a wonderful cozy authentic Italian restaurant with its subtle undertones and dimly lit tables. It romanticises the idea of finding a slice of Italia in the uk. The upstairs however feels quite underwhelming in comparison and feels cramped like a secondhand experience. We ordered the garlic bread for starters we had were a lovely appetiser to begin with. The olive oil was potent and left quite a strong impression when coupled with the bread. We ordered the main calzone and cannelloni. Calzone was a mistake. I do not believe a bolognaise belongs in bread and can now safely standby this assertion. However,Cannelloni was an excellent choice. It was full of flavors. It was fresh and delicious. The staff were pleasant but slightly awkward but I didn’t think the meal selection was the greatest.

Called in today for a quick lunch, we only had an hour so explained this to the waiter and he was fantastic made sure we were served quickly but without being rushed. We had a pizza and I honestly think it was the best pizza I’ve ever had! Would 100% recommend and we will definitely be back! Thank you

Received a warm welcome for 3 adults plus 3 kids. Great waiting staff and very competent pizza. Would have preferred slightly larger veggie chunks but hey, there's a veggie crisis on, right?

This place was amazing from the food to the service 😍 . We had a group of 11 for my daughters birthday and all the food was amazing . We all ordered virtually different things and all the orders came out together and cooked perfectly. My family doesn't want to go anywhere else for a Italian meal ever again.
