After a long walk we arrived just before closing. We asked if they were still serving coffee and they welcomed us in. Very friendly staff. Lovely cafe. Scones delicious. Would definitely go back

Such a disappointing experience. Very expensive (£11 for soup and one slice of bread which didn't come with any butter) and even more money for a "hotpot" which was saag aloo. The saag also was basically overcooked potato, which was absolutely tasteless with hardly any spinach and, again, a small slice of bread with no butter (many vegan butters could have been provided!).

We booked into White Truffle on a whim; we were fed up of queuing on the M5 and decided to have some lunch. TA placed the White Truffle as the no.1 restaurant in Nailsea and so we decided to give it a go. The first thing to say is that despite the fact it was a last minute booking and the restaurant had almost finished lunch, they were more than happy to serve us. Plenty of places would have said 'no'. We received a warm welcome and loved the interior décor (we remember it from many years ago as a Chinese restaurant). Service was extremely friendly and then we got to the food... ...it's about as good as it gets as far as we were concerned. We did wonder whether the restaurant would be worthy of the rave reviews on TA and I can confirm that it is. We went for the slow roast pork, which was beautifully presented and so flavoursome. Puds were chocolate brownie and sticky toffee, both of which were fabulous. For the set lunch price, this restaurant is extremely good value. The only downside is that we live a long way. We used to live in Nailsea and joked that we may have to move back in order that the WT would be on our doorstep. I'm not entirely sure we were joking...

We stopped for Fish and Chips in Barney at the Fisheries, the fish was absolutely beautiful, but the chips should not have been served, they were certainly not fresh they all went in the bin

Rated the best place to eat in Swindon and the second best place in the whole of Wiltshire. That’s some serious hype to live up to especially when there’s three Michelin star restaurants to compete with. And does it? Yes, it does! The food was absolutely incredible, of the highest quality, and we experienced flavours we have never experienced before which made it truly special. We ordered 4 dishes and asked Michael to choose another 2 for us. You may notice a lot of reviews mention Michael by name. That’s testament to how personal the dining experience is. Every single dish was brought over to us by Michael himself and was explained in detail before we enjoyed it. This level of service is extremely rare and aside from the exquisite food itself was a highlight of the dining experience. Aside from Michael and his food talked about above, the general atmosphere was also fantastic. There’s a lovely cosy feel to the place. You’re made to feel as if you’re the only people there, and yet there’s a great buzz from all the other tables who are also having the same experience. That’s a very hard dynamic to pull off! Price wise, we spent a fair amount and for us personally it will become a special occasion place to visit. However, I really believe that for the quality of the food and dining experience it was worth significantly more than we paid, especially when you consider it’s rightfully rated higher than some Michelin star restaurants that would have cost 3 times as much. So really it’s a bargain for what you’re getting! A special shout out must also go to Natalie who was both friendly and fantastic. She gave us a lovely welcome when we arrived, took our coats and once sat at our table gave us the rundown of the restaurant as we had never been before. I’m sure anyone reading this will have experienced that annoying part of most dining experiences where you want something like another drink or the bill at the end and spend the next 10 minutes trying to awkwardly catch the eye of your server. Not with Natalie on hand! We’ve concluded she must be able to read minds as the second we thought we might like something she was there as if by magic. Fair play! I’ll be amazed if before long this place isn’t in the Michelin star guide, or even gets a star. Stop reading reviews and experience it for yourself!

Visited “The Strange Catch” fish & chip shop following reviews. You will definitely not be disappointed. Excellent food cooked to order. We ordered fish, chips, sausage & mushy peas. The fish came with homemade tartar sauce & a chunk of lemon. The fish was cooked to perfection, the batter was light and did not overpower the fish. The chips were also great as was the sausage. The mushy peas were not toxic looking like you sometimes get from chip shops. Will definitely be visiting again next time we are in Weston-super-mare.

Collected a pizza to take home, superb value and quality, the food is always top class. Wellington is so fortunate to have an Italian of this quality
