The best restaurants in Compton and Otterbourne Winchester South East

The food was delicious, I had the Korean chicken and my partner had the sticky bbq chicken. The coffees also come with home cooked cookies, when we told the staff (Hannah) how much we liked them she kindly gave us some more. Lovely atmosphere and great for a walk in the sunshine.

A wonderful lunch, sandwiches- ciabatta and sourdough with sausage, cheese, tune etc and great coffee and tea. The bread was so fresh and warm. We had walked from Eastleigh along the Itchen Way so it was a very welcome refreshment stop.

Good service and venue but everything is very overpriced. A simple cheeseburger costs £22 (and it's just a normal plane burger like you could make at home - nothing special) and drinks are 50% higher than they are at other pubs nearby. A pint of beer is £6.50! They then also add on 12.5% service charge on top which you can ask to be removed but who is going to do that and cause a fuss in front of other customers? They clearly know prices will put people off as they are the only pub I know to not put any pricing information or menus on their website.

We went here for lunch on mothering sunday and it was an outstanding experience. The service was brilliant , menu varied with something for everything, the quality of the food was really good and the service spot on. Add to which, the daffodils and Mothering Sunday card was a lovely touch….we’ll be back again soon for the quiz nights, jazz evenings and just because we can…..thank you Imogen and her brilliant team

I have not been here for a year or so as the last time I came it was dreadful, today it was absolutely great, I had the steak and eggs, my son had pork belly, we had a couple of cocktails which were delicious as was the food. I’m so pleased as it is just down the road from us. Staff were also very good
