False advertising! Don't even bother going here, it's a complete waste of fuel. They said they were open on their Google opening hours but decided to randomly be shut with no notices yesterday. Wasted half an hour driving, £10 getting there and had a VERY upset 2 year old who was excited to see the goats. Very unimpressed, I will never be returning. If you can't even be honest with your opening times what the heck else are you lying about?

We visited the garden centre on Wednesday. After a long trek through several departments we arrived at the cafe. After choosing a table we had to move our chairs due to the rain which was dripping through the roof! The Cappucinno that I ordered wasn't very hot and I think you'd run out of chocolate sprinkles!!!! (It is listed on the receipt) The price was really high because you charge extra for oat milk......haven't come across another cafe that does this for alternative milk!! £3.75 for a cup of coffee!!!! Our first and last visit I'm afraid.

Well appointed garden centre and restaurant. The large car park is also convenient to stop on in, for a walk along the river Itchen in either direction. This gets a bit crowded at the weekends and summer holidays and floods if the river is high. Now refurbished inside. You have to walk through the houseplants, household goods then ladies clothing to get to the gardening stuff, then there's no going back. Excellent range of garden plants, including veg, bedding and perennials. The garden at the back has been refurbished and the goats' enclosure enlarged Still extremely dog friendly :) There is a short, circular walk by the river (turn left as you come out of the front door) as well as the Itchen Way nearby.

At lunch time we were able to get a table, good social distancing and good service that was severely let down by the food. The Ham egg and chips had ham that was so full of fat that only half was edible. I had fish and chips. Sadly the fish was the size of a large fish finger and had no flavour. The peas were hard and tasteless. So most certainly not value for money. So while it was a lovely location, it was a BIG disappointment.

The lady who seated us was lovely, and everything looked inviting in the sunshine.Ordered prawn baguette, which arrived very quickly and the prawns were just swimming in sauce, sauce dripping everywhere from the baguette, salad and crisps on the side. Very weird. Coffee arrived but without a spoon and we waited to catch someone’s attention to finally get one. Also ordered a cream tea, the tea from which never appeared until we asked for it, a really long time after I had eaten the scone. Also ordered a bottle of Apple and Rhubarb juice, but was delivered strawberry and apple posh pop, which I didn’t realise until after I started to drink it. What a disappointment the whole experience was, just felt ripped off. No masks on any staff in the restaurant. Customer toilets tired and grubby.

I met a friend for coffee at Brambridge. The location of the table was good - plenty of spae around it.The staff seemed to forget our order, as the adjacent table had paid their bill, left, had table cleaned, and new occupants served with their order before our drinks arrived.I was most concerned with the entrance and exit to the cafe, and methos of payment. I was asked to go to a small till at the back of the cafe to pay. I did so, passing several tables on the way. I waited to pay. A number of waiting staff rushed in and out of a gap next to the till, (no masks), very close to me. After paying, the exit was through the same door as the entrance. A large queue had formed to enter. The entrance was completely blocked by people waiting. As I squeezed past, I looked for a way out. This was blocked by a customer's abandoned trolley, so I had to squeeze past the rest of the queue to leave. The store had implemented a one way system and provided hand gel, but the cafe needs more work.

Ordered two jacket potatoes, one with cheese , one with coronation chicken. Both potatoes were overcooked, Rock hard skins and silky, slushy insides, never experienced that kind of texture from a jacket potato before. The coronation chicken placed at the side of the spud, was a few basic chunks of chicken in a cheap tasting curry sauce with no sultanas, almonds or such in the sauce itself. I have bought better sandwich/potato fillings from supermarkets. Overall disappointing, which is a shame as it’s a nice friendly environment with helpful staff in a pleasant setting.

Having had a mediocre experience at this venue a few months back I was somewhat dubious about going back for our annual family Christmas lunch, but I was relived to see things have improved. The service was top notch from start to finish. I can't recall our waitresses name, but she was very attentive, yet not intrusive. Our pre-booked table was decorated accordingly and as per our request we were seated in a spacious part of the restaurant due to accessibility reasons. Each of our three courses arrived promptly and with a smile. It's not easy working in the restaurant industry, it's hard graft, but our waitress handled everything with the upmost professionalism. As for the food our roasts were lovely, plentiful and fresh. However my white onion soup was with out doubt the weirdest thing I have ever tasted, which was a downer, but the roast made up for it. The best way to describe the soup was soulless. It was just odd and everyone in our party agreed. Also, my poached pear wasn't the best. Average at best, but the ginger ice cream was delicious! Hence the reason for my four star review.Would it be my first choice for a spot of light lunch or a Christmas dinner? Nope, but I would go back if I was passing.

The waitress was wonderful, she asked us to pick a table which we did nearer to an open door, she then moved the table cloth and all the place settings to the new table, she couldn't do enough for us. The tea itself was fantastic, sandwiches, little cakes and scones, there was so much to choose from and it was all delicious, one of our party was gluten free and she had her own plate of gluten free goodies, I could not recommend Brambridge enough, it was just a lovely afternoon treat and all this only cost £9.99, well worth the money spent and the staff are brilliant.
