We have been wanting to try this place for so long but first came the lockdowns and we always left it too late and it was booked up. Finally we booked ahead and got a table on a Saturday night for 2 of us.It was so worth the wait - this is a tiny treasure in Margate. The atmosphere was lovely - romantic and intimate, despite 3 other bigger parties on tables around us. wonderful music playing, delicious smells coming from the kitchen - we truly felt like we had been transported to Italy! And the food - simple, beautiful, incredibly tasty, fresh, authentic flavours. You could really tell everything was made with love. Every dish was perfect and bursting with flavour. The portions were good and both my meat loving partner and my vegan self, felt satisfied and happy. Really wonderful staff - just 3 of them, the owner and chef, the kitchen asssitant and the front of house but they worked together seamlessly. How they manage to do all this and so well, in a tiny space, whilst creating a relaxed, happy and warm atmosphere, is a true to credit to all of them. Many other bigger, higher staffed local restaurants could learn a thing or two from visiting Olivio! We can't wait to come back - a true treasure!

Local bakery with tables to sit down. Choice of drinks and a selection of savoury pastries and a wide selection of sweet treats We had a coffee and a hot chocolate. Add a couple of cakes and the visit was a pleasant one. You order and pay at the counter and they deliver to your table. Staff were both pleasant and fast at serving

Wow what an Ice Cream shop, delicious home made Ice cream in both wonderful unique flavours and classic combinations. We had Pecan and Maple, Panettone and Pistachio Cream flavours - all utterly yummy. Not too sweet, rich tasting and creamy a real treat.

We stayed in Margate for a few days and were looking for somewhere for brunch. Sub Rosa was very close to our accommodation so I thought we'd check it out. Am so glad we did. I've never had bagels as good as this anywhere. So good we went back the following day. First day we had the Lox which was divine and the second day I had the Pastrami. The Pastrami was that good I nearly had a "spiritual moment". My girlfriend tried a bite and then got such bad food envy that I ended up giving half of it to her to stop her wobbly bottom lip. Chaps, is it just me or do women never offer to share their food when the tables are turned? (Only joking! I'll duck now!). On seeing this one of the owners offered to make her a pastrami bagel for free!!!! Where does that ever happen! Anyway, if you're in Margate and want an amazing food exprience then don't hesitate to come to Sub Rosa.

Been using this place for years, and for good reason. Mainly outside tables, but with a few seats inside. Hot and cold pies and sandwiches, plus an inexpensive range of drinks and cakes, coffee is at £2 for a large cup. Some of the best attentive service I have found, a great place to enjoy a drink and watch the world go by.
