We stayed in the accommodation but the restaurant is closed until spring which was disappointing and not told about at time of booking

A very nice place with comfortable seating and great decor. The food was very tasty and freshly made. As a plant enthusiast I could not help but admire all the cacti, succulents and amazing monstera in the corner. There are high chairs available and our 2 year old enjoyed the food as well.

Third visit here, but this time we had lunch, (only previously had breakfast and coffee and cake) we came in during their fairly busy time of the eat out to help out scheme and me and my partner shared two smoothies, both savoury and sweet avocado toasts, which came with a dessert each. The owner and her helpers were very polite and helpful even though they were rushed, offered us the upstairs secret table which we were more than thrilled with, food was amazing, we enjoyed every part of it and both agreed we’d have happily paid full price, without a question of a doubt we’ll be back. Our number 1 favourite vegan place!!

We had a top breakfast and juice this morning. Loved the sausages and tofu and bread and.....you get the picture. It was all so fresh. Great stuff!

We stopped here for lunch and a glass of wine. We had the hot thali tray to share and it was lovely. The curry was black bean and beetroot. Everywhere vegan at the moment seems to serve junk food (which we love too) but it was a nice change to have something that tasted so good and nourishing. If we’re in Margate again, we’ll definitely be back.

Myself and my partner visited BeetBar yesterday morning while on holiday and it was a truly disappointing experience, despite it being recommended to us. The woman behind the register seemed in a rush for us to order despite there being no other customers behind us, and very abruptly asked if we were ready after less than a minute of trying to read the menu. We ordered two smoothies and when asked if it was for in or take away we asked for take away cups as we were going to walk with them, but the woman serving asked if we were definitely going to be leaving straight away as she hated people ordering plastic cups and then sitting in, which wasn't our plan. Our main issue was with her manner towards us throughout, her tone was intensely patronising as if we had been living under a rock and needed to be educated by her on the environmental impact of plastic. We took a seat to wait, after about 15 minutes the other woman working that morning came out with one smoothie in a glass, we clarified the order was to take away and waited another few minutes before the two were finally brought out. It was a very long wait for a simple order, and a very unpleasant experience as we found the staff member serving us extremely rude and it seemed like us walking into the cafe was an inconvenience to her. To top it off, the smoothies were highly disappointing, my partner paid 4 pounds for what tasted like some almond milk with cinammon thrown in, we would be sceptical that any of the other ingredients were actually included.

If you are looking for a plant base breakfast in Margate, that is the place to be. The prices are not bad either.

Went with friends for lunch .Food lovely bean stew salad homemade bread and hummus.I had pear pudding my husband a rice pud and friends chocolate mousse.The service was a little slow but we were not in a hurry.There is a good range of food and drinks both hot and cold.Will be going there again.

I didn't know this place and when we parked I noticed a very inviting outside area, beautifully decorated. When I got closer I noticed a beautiful ambiance, very cosy and quirky, comfortable furnishings and really great food, vegetarian and vegan, so tasty! We'll go back.

A really great vegan haunt with a super green vibe: fabulous smoothies, a brilliant Thali and unctuous puds all served up with a big smile. Courteous, efficient and friendly service. Highly recommended 💜🎈🎉

Walking through the car park to get there we were not sure what to expect but we were very pleasantly surprised and cannot wait to return. We shared a hot Thali (vegan stew served with rice, poppadoms, chutneys etc) and a Buddha bowl (glorious rainbow salad of epic proportions) - both absolutely delicious. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our son was a little wary of the menu as he can be fussy sometimes (he is only 5) so they sorted him out with some (home made) jam on toast. They had a little basket of toys and books and we didn't feel rushed so stayed after we'd finished and enjoyed those for a bit. As we were settling up, I noticed some yummy looking cakes on the counter and couldn't leave without having a couple wrapped up for us to try at home later on. There were also lots of nice teas and coffees on the menu, as well as juices, which we cannot wait to try. Cant wait to go back :)

Always brining my friends here and showing of the amazing vegan food. So much passion goes into every meal. Can’t wait to see what 2020 brings for this lovely place.

Nice bright space, had a fabulous vegetarian sausage breakfast wrap and decent coffee. Nice service.

Note- we ate at the beet bar, we didn’t stay the night. We ate here after doing a local 10 mile running race. I had eaten here before and had a good experience, but this visit was negative. I asked the lady serving where the nearest cash point was (as the listing on happy cow said it was cash only). She was dismissive and said, quite rudely, ‘no idea. High street?’. I said ‘oh aren’t you cash only?’ She said, again, snappily, ‘no’ and I said ‘happy cow says you are’ ‘ she said (rudely) ‘what’s happy cow, no idea what you’re talking about’... which I found surprising for someone working in a vegan cafe (for non vegans reading this, happy cow is a well known app that shows you local veggie and vegan cafes in the area you’re in) . Coffee took 35 minutes to arrive, food took 50 minutes. My friend went to ask about the food after we’d been waiting 45 minutes and was told ‘there are lots of people ahead of you’- When we ordered there was only one table of two ahead of us., the other table of two had finished their food already. We had avo on toast and the toast was completely cold. I’m sure this was a one off and the server was having a bad day, but it was a really negative experience all round.

We had a good vegan breakfast. The place is comfortable and the atmosphere relaxed, you don’t feel rushed at all. The prices are reasonable.

Was recommended by a vegan, although I'm not one....just trying to cut down on meat and dairy intake.At the back of a carpark so you need to know where you're going.I have been twice now and I love it!I have avocado on sourdough with sun dried tomatoes, this comes with a little saucer of dehydrated fruit crisps (yum!) and a choice of a small ramekin dessert (also yum!)I top it off with a smoothie....all this for £10 in a delightfully relaxing cafe.Just writing this has made me want to revisit !

The food is amazing , eaten here 3 times now , locally sourced food , knowledgable staff ( very).Relaxing environment , outstanding and purse friendly , loads of juices and smoothies to choose from and the food I’ve eaten has been enough for me to confidently leave a review .A real hidden gem but worth seeking out and I’m not vegan :)Nothing is comprimised re affordability ..Two huge slices of fabulous bread with avocado and sun dried tomatoes and a huge Smoothie with dates coconut etc10 pounds and too much for me to eat.. I did wonder why Toni asked if I’d like one slice £3 A really pleasant , relaxing environment so glad I stumbled across it :)

I took a friend here for lunch. We had a great experience as always. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the food is fresh and delicious. We had avacodo on toast with sun-dried tomatoes and pesto. Jist amazing. Go on try this vegan restaurant.

Best vegan food place I’ve been too, Food is 10/10 and the staff are friendly! The BB Ramen is always a winner, and I’ll be back to try everything on the menu because everything coming out looked damn fine.

Friendly staff provide a wide variety of vegan food . The location is easy to find despite being tucked away . Comfortable sofas and interesting art make this a real treat to visit . Highly recommend .

Beautiful and fresh milkshakes and juices!

I came here with my daughter, we are not vegan. Wow is how this place left us. We had a shared our orders which were pitta bread with a beetroot dip a avacodos and pea dip and some olives, our second was sough dough toast, avacodo and sun dried tomatoes. We also had a coconut milk hot chocolate and a raw bar each. This is a very tranquil place to sit and enjoy great food. We will definitely return to try more of this amazing food.

So l heard of a vegan place called beet bar in Margate so I had to check it out ,My first impressions were great the space is fabulous as well as the food and the staff would defo recommend to vegans dieters !!

We stayed in one of the rooms. It was beautiful! Comfy bed, nice bathroom and very clean and in the middle of the town. The host was lovely and full of suggestions. We'll be back!

Loved it loved it loved it. Amazing juices. Delicious breakfast on weekends. Stumbled upon this place by sheer luck as we passed through town for a weekend away. Will not hesitate to return if in the area again.

Visited again with my sister all the food was absolutely beautiful with perfect portion sizes. Caters for everyone's diets deliciously, it is like being on holiday!

Very disappointing coffee, and also the take away order arrived the total opposite from what we had asked for and agreed upon... Not able to recommend at all!

Wow what a great little oasis. Loved the coffee and the beautiful atmosphere, my toddler loved the pond and the open terrace. We liked it so much that we almost forgot to pay - sorry about that again! ;)

Stopped off here for a slice of cake and coffee / tea. Fantastic food and drink options in a beautiful secluded spot. Looking forward to visiting again.

We had the most delicious breakfast here. Avocado on sourdough bread, chia pudding and chocolate porridge. All locally sourced & made on site. Absolutely delicious. We chatted to the lady who did all the cooking & she gave us loads of information on the area & was super helpful. Honestly the breakfast was one of the highlights of our trip & the location although off the beaten track, has its own garden which is a sun trap. All the interiors are really kooky. I love it here!! You can also park in the carpark next to it but it is just 5 mins from the sea side.

Stumbled upon this place whilst trying to find somewhere for lunch when visiting Margate and very glad I did! Extremely tasty food & smoothies and great service.

We descended on Beet Bar in a rush with 11 of us trying to do a quick turn around during a day in Margate on a hen do. They sorted us out really quickly and honestly the food was so excellent. It was quiet in there which suited us very fine, in fact perfectly as we had no problem, we felt less worried about storming in and disturbing people, though if you were looking for something very buzzy maybe it is better at other times of day. The interior decs are really nice, particularly like not having standard tables and chairs but a more relaxed coffee tables and sofas set-up. We LOVED the 'Welcome to Margate' Las Vegas style sign which made a fun photo for our group. But back to the food - we really were impressed, we thought they had a great menu, short but sweet and absolutely delicious. Our one hen who has an illness which effects digestion and had to bring her own separate lunch asked them if she could eat it there so she wasn't left out from us, and they were very kind and allowed that and generally were great hosts. Thank you!

I love the stew (all of them so far) but am easily persueded to upgrade to the hot thali where you get a few extra nibbly bits for just a pound.

Went there on the afternoon of the 1st January and there was quite a few people a lot more than the owner had probably anticipated, But she still managed to provide us with a decent snack and drinks despite also being low on supplies.

I had no idea this interesting little cafe was tucked into the corner of a car park, friends brought me here, and I’m glad they did. The decor is eclectic and interesting and the seating comfortable, a good place to meet and chat.

Taken to Beet Bar by my wonderful carer just to get me out for an explore and a good noshing. What a fantastic hidden gem. Superb food, superb service, what more can I say other than a fantastic go to vegan eaterie; again, again, AGAIN. I'll be back with husband FOR SURE & can't wait, nom nom! 😋

What a lovely lovely special place, food amazing, Toni was so so good at welcoming and friendly. Tempted to.move to Margate! We had veg soup and then a raw bar Rose and pistachio and peanut butter brownie and wow and wow.

We went here because we were keen to support a small independent vegan venture. First impressions were good; the place is a real oasis of calm, the furnishings and decor are fabulous and the staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the food let it down. We went for the £6 daily special salad; it was just a fairly random collection of raw vegetables with a few chickpeas, and sadly much of the spinach and leaves had seen better days and had to be picked out. It was like going back ten years...vegan food today is interesting and innovative and I would have expected something better. Such a shame.

Tucked away at the back of the car park but such a nice space to sit in on a sunny day. Selling smoothies, coffee, breakfast, lunch and cake. I had the cooked thali which was simple but nice. Small menu but good food.

Anybody who is conscious about what they eat and in Margate should visit this place. The food is good with a wide range of juices too. It's comfortable and quiet and the owner always has an interesting selection of art on the walls to look at.

Myself & my sister had the best nourishing smoothies( Nirvana ) ever on our visit . The space is so lovely & calming . We will be returning soon to try The Green Goddess smoothie. The Thali mix food looks extremely tempting too .

Tucked away behind the high street but convenient for the King Street car parks, this bar and small bites eatery offers relaxed, healthy eating and drinking, ideal for brunch and light meals. Its comfortable sofas with plenty of scatter cushions and its most attractive courtyard with water feature and elegant shrubs, make it a perfect spot for chilling. Everything you eat and drink here is vegan and the staff are well-informed. Top marks for being environmentally-friendly too.

Lovely place to chill for a juice or smoothie but not if you're hungry, the food tasted great but it felt like a starter as the portion sizes are so small without exaggerating which is a shame- I ate again as soon as I left.

I was looking for a healthy but filling light breakfast and found loads of gorgeous looking cafes but the ones in the main old town weren't quite offering what I had in mind, then I saw an A board pointing through a car park and found this delightful gem. The atmosphere is totally tranquil and holiday. I'd visit daily if I were closer.

After what seemed a painstaking hiatus during winter my partner and I were really pleased to see Beet Bar back open and excited to visit again. Beet bar offer a selection of coffee, drinks and food all vegan and all delicious. My partner maintains that Beet Bar has the best frappuccino around (although its name has changed now) and the food is to die for. The staff are delightful and full of knowledge about the products they offer, really would recommend a visit.

Went here yesterday with a friend for lunch on a visit to Margate. The location, just off the beaten track is a haven for relaxation on a busy weekend. The staff were friendly and the vegan food was fantastic and the smoothies were amazing...particularly the beetroot one! Would go back again today for the smoothies...they were that good :-)
