The best restaurants in St Michaels Swale South East

Upon arrival we were greeted by a very rude and obnoxious person,who insisted we waited for service while she was chatting to a customer about the weather. Then there was the food ...my children became ill shortly after we left the place,they had tuna baguettes and for some reason they tasted off . When questioned about it the very impolite individual said"if you don't like it then leave" The Café itself was poorly maintained,their was slight odour of mould near the main counter,the place was filled with trinkets to buy including photos of people eating on a summer's day there. The toilet facilities were unsanitary,no hand soap,no paper towels to dry hands with and no lock on the door. When leaving the Café it felt like we were leaving an old people's retirement home after visiting a relative,a Café/sandwich bar should be welcoming and should make their own food not fillings from plastic containers with no indication of it's freshness! Since then I have spoke to several unhappy diner's who complained about the workers there who still seem to think being snappy, aggressive and rude is the correct way. A warning to all please do not eat here if you value your wellbeing.

Lovely welcoming and cosy atmosphere and very friendly staff. The food was good as so was the coffee . I have been there many times now and I will be returning .

Absolutely incredible food and service! Thank you so much they had forgot sauce and drink no big deal but the driver was straight out without any hesitation. For the food it was delicious actually might be the best pizza around sittingbourne. Thank you

I had a lamb shank which was cold in the middle so it wasn't slow cooked at all it was probably microwaved place looked understaffed , i did send it back no one said anything about it too me either just waited for it too come back, but did enjoy the calves liver that was lush but I won't go again

^meat^ samosas contained gristle but no meat. We asked several times to slow down the service, we were clearly being rushed off the table and out of the door The chicken madras was bland at best, very little spice We specified we were sharing rice but we were still given and charged a rice each. No whiskey in the Irish coffee. No change came back when we paid cash. The change was assumed to be a tip. This was our first and last visit.

If I could post zero stars I would. The managers attitude is disgusting. Obviously an issue with the soft drinks as all came out flat but to tell us that we are all wrong...

I would highly whole heartedly recommend Happy Chef Chinese Restaurant for any Chinese food takeaway 🥡. It’s the best in town. We have been going there for 12 years now and still happy with the Service & Food. Jenny and Team are friendly & brilliant! Great phone communication, Tasty delicious 😋 Chinese food, Value for money reasonable Priced, Great Location in Town high street , Free Prawn Crackers, Fortune Cookie & drink when you spend a certain amount. Jenny and her Team goes the extra mile to make sure their customers are happy with their Chinese food takeaway ☺️. We always look forward to the weekend for our Chinese food takeaway 🥡. Mmm 😋

i ordered a mediterranean breakfast and it was just pure oil, flavourless hashbrowns, garlic sausages it was like dog food, the egg was just plastic and i spent £15 on this was looking forward to a nice breakfast but it was far from it, Never come here !

Good food, well cooked and presented. Friendly atmosphere. Attractive surroundings. Very reasonably priced. Would be very happy to come here again when in the area.

Very disappointed with the portion sizes with home delivery, the beans is not even 3 Table spoons yet when you eat in the restaurant it’s a large portion, very small portions for expensive prices online. However delivery is always on time Bacon is always cooked lovely
