The best restaurants in Lydd Shepway South East

Such a cute and cosy little coffee shop! We were warmly welcomed in by friendly staff and enjoyed delicious cakes and hot chocolate! After cycling all the way to Lydd from Camber sands this was just what we needed!

Best bacon in a bun by far, excellent service, good value, thoroughly recommend. The burgers & chips were really good too.

So disappointed. Three tiny, and I mean tiny, scallops in a mediocre chewy roll with hardly any salad to accompany it. I felt royally ripped off. The sad thing was I was encouraged by rave reviews and a personal recommendation - but like I say, very mediocre.

We were told to sit outside even though there was lots of space inside. The food was ready fairly quickly. The fish was good, and they served vinegar and salt. I would have preferred if the chips were more crispy. They didn't have toilets, but they served drinks. The chairs weren't comfy.

We ordered a take away at 6.45 And waited 90 minuits for delivery, we called guljar to see where the food was and they said it would be delivered in 10 minuits, it was finally delivered and the order was wrong, the food was swimming in oil and was inedible, we will not be using that restaurant again, We were most dissatisfied with the resturant.

Food was OK but owner/service was average at best! Owner was condescending to the young man working there, who was trying his best while the place was very busy and she was sat outside chatting to her mates! Very uncomfortable visit, and not welcoming at all! 😞

We used the XIX Club for drinks and food after our youngest daughter’s christening. Erin was really helpful in the lead up to the event and it was a huge success. Good quality buffet food and friendly staff in a nice little golf clubhouse.

We travel from Ashford to this Chinese. Food is amazing, hot and tasty.. and reasonable price…

Shame it said again today that it was open but wasn't.

Only one in bar and a bar person ignored me for two minutes so I asked if they were open and got told could I wait a minute! Not exactly busy were they and when I did get served she didn’t even say thanks ! The beach at Romney sands is full of litter maybe the holiday camp could get some people to do a litter pick as most of the rubbish was from their children’s stuff they sell in the show bar

If you are here this is a great place to eat fish and chips! Wow! How delicious! Fresh fish, delicious chips!

Absolutely disgusted to be turned away today trying to take my 98yr old aunt to lunch today because we were in my Ford Transit camper ( my only daily driver) I have supported this business for years including through the pandemic when they were begging for customers NEVER AGAIN!!!

We placed our order via the app and chose for it to be delivered. It was delivered within 20 minutes and the food was not only delicious, it was piping hot too. The chips reminded me of how chip shop chips used to taste. The only disappointment was that I ordered a large cod which wasn’t large at all, and was rather flat. I also ordered a pickled gherkin which they had forgotten to include. Other than that I will definitely be ordering from them again.
