The best restaurants in Lydd Shepway South East

Such a cute and cosy little coffee shop! We were warmly welcomed in by friendly staff and enjoyed delicious cakes and hot chocolate! After cycling all the way to Lydd from Camber sands this was just what we needed!

Best bacon in a bun by far, excellent service, good value, thoroughly recommend. The burgers & chips were really good too.

Awful soggy fish and chips the smallest portion I've seen that wasn't a kids meal very disappointing very overpriced served at room temperature

The shop has best and freshest fish anywhere. The seafood bar is superb. Some of the best shellfish ever. Very casual - disposable plates etc - but a very well organised operation. Can get very crowded on sunny weekends, which can slow up the service a bit. But worth a wait

Food was OK but owner/service was average at best! Owner was condescending to the young man working there, who was trying his best while the place was very busy and she was sat outside chatting to her mates! Very uncomfortable visit, and not welcoming at all! 😞

We used the XIX Club for drinks and food after our youngest daughter’s christening. Erin was really helpful in the lead up to the event and it was a huge success. Good quality buffet food and friendly staff in a nice little golf clubhouse.

Very nice selection, and the food we ordered was excellent (and they were not shy with the portion sizes!) - we will definitely be going again next time we visit Lydd.

We popped in for a drink before we could book into our caravan. We went furthest away from people as we have a big dog and we're eating. But they were welcoming, and the size dog we have didn't seem to bother them. Thank you.

Only popped in for a coffee on a very cold day. Nice, prompt service and a lovely open fire, keeping the place warm.

The above average priced fish and chips aren’t the best I’ve had, but the staff are really friendly. And they let dogs in. Which is good if you’re a dog.

There is a shop & a cafe here, both super friendly and it overlooks the railway station so you can see the trains pull in. We turned up literally 5 minutes before the last train was due in & then they close. The cafe staff were clearly cleaning everything and packing up. We asked for 3 takeaway teas and the lady served us, which i was very grateful for as we were cold and a hot drink was very welcome. I also managed to squeeze a quick purchase at the shop as well. We also saw the last train draw up which was good timing on our part. Friendly and really nice people. Thank you.
