The yummiest fudge in all of Bodiam, great value and the kids love it! Perfect situation next to the steam train- make a day of it!

Came for just tapas and drinks, food was amazing and reasonably priced and the waitress was very knowledgeable about the different spurts and recommended well. Nice atmosphere

Curry night on Monday is well worth a visit, but unlike us do book ahead. The pub very kindly managed to fit us in but given the amount of people enjoying the food there, we were very lucky.

I chose this hotel because of its location and the fact it had a bar and restaurant and was dog friendly. Unfortunately I when I visited the bar and restaurant were both closed so had to find some where to eat for my self. On the up side the breakfast was brilliant. They laid a table in the bar area so my dog could join me and even gave him his own sausage. The breakfast was very well cooked with quality ingredients and plenty of it.

Was really looking forward eating here ( on the back of watching the hotel inspector) The food was a big disappointment. Poached eggs were hard boiled and toast loaded with too much spinach which made a complete soggy mess. The cooked breakfast was lukewarm and tasteless. Good coffee.

Had the day off so thought we'd visit as under new management. Really friendly welcome by the lovely bar staff. Great decor and large pub garden. Enjoyed a couple of ciders in the hot sun with a Sussex beef burger and butter chicken burger, Really yummy. Would've posted a pic of my husbands burger but he went straight in for it. Definitely will return. Thanks team and good luck for the future Support your local pub :)

Food lovely as always , service was slow and felt like the dining area was kind of left as they were running an event that night so they were super busy. would of been better if they had more staff on with one dedicated to the dining area . Staff lovely even though they were busy. Great live band playing outside .

Work in progress. After being let go during Covid new owners have a grand master plan to reinvent the site. Give it six months and a lot of hard work should be able to challenge other nursery’s in the area. It’s not just a garden centre!
