The best restaurants in Newick Lewes South East

I wanted to pop out for a quick coffee & remembered seeing an advert on the roundabout nearby for this place. Well, a lovely, unexpected well-stocked post office & general store hides this little gem. At the back in a corner hidden away is this lovely tea room. Do more than teas with hot and cold choices. We settled for a chocolate and a slice of - die for - coffee & walnut cake, beautiful!! Will be returning later with a coach of oldies who will l know appreciate the afternoon tea they offer. I will add the staff lovely & friendly. Can you do cheese scones, please? The shop on way out had again lovely friendly staff. Certainly will be back. Many thanks for a pleasant hour

Lovely pub. Great atmosphere. Amazing food. Quick, friendly and efficient service. This Pubs likes dogs! Which is refreshing and very nice. They even sell gluten/hide free dog chews at the bar. I love the Bull and keep returning because of the easy parking and friendly staff and atmosphere. We had the crab linguine and the fish and chips with minted mushy peas. 100% recommend. Food came to the table quickly. Piping hot. Fantastic value for money. This pub is a brilliant find. I highly recommend you give it a try.

We visited for Sunday lunch and found that the place had gone downhill since we last visited. For what should be a warm and cosy pub, the attitude of the staff was shocking. Very cold and unfriendly, unable to make eye contact. We won’t be back.

Excellent food, lovely king prawn curry and really enjoyed the range of vegetables. As usual excellent service and extremely friendly staff.

The eating area was very pretty and suited a village pub. Very rustic and charming. The staff were polite, cheerful and attentative. Good was good pub grub, we had steaks as it was steak night, cooked as we requested and all the trimmings were great. Lovely treacle pudding and custard to follow. All in all a wonderful experience. Will be going again.

I'm actually disappointed with Yummy Yummy ...I've been a customer for 8years or more 🤔 I asked for the same order I did last time and got charged an extra 5pound even on top with Prawn crackers .too . but I don't kno what for or what has changed so I put an new order in and the phone was put down on me ...I always go to Yummy yummy..I've sent alot of customers there too ...so really disappointed in there customer service with who answered the phone ...oh dear ..hope it turns out alright there my favourite Chinese
