Wonderful food, amazing staff. Super value for money!

It's a lovely place with great staff. I had a wonderful bit of duck and a bottle of sicilia red wine, which paired great with the meal. It would be a cute place to take a partner on a weekend away. As a working class geeza I'd rate this place 9/10 because I don't know what a 10/10 would be either way I had a great time and my accommodation behind the nice British pub is very cute and sound

I had not been to the bull for about a year but heard good reviews and a new chef was running the kitchen. Wow im so glad we did, the food was some of the best pub food we had in a very long time. They have certainly upped their game and I recommend old customers to come back and try the food again. This will now be one of our regular places to eat.

Friendly staff, great location, clean room, comfy bed. Shower was tepid and sadly no longer doing the full English breakfast but the toast and croissants were good.

Great service, fantastic food. The waitress was very friendly and efficient and the manger made you feel very welcome. Will be back!

Very disappointed, the manager was very rude when we tried to check in. We were only offered a continental break fast, cereals and yogurt were out of date, fruit looked past its best and just given a couple of Croissant and pan au chocolate. The room was not cheap so expected better, used towel hanging in bathroom, which was not very clean. Not recommended.

Had a very enjoyable dinner here this evening. Food was good quality, cooked well, and the waiting staff were very accommodating and hospitable. We'll look forward to returning again.

Food was average, not bad at all. We felt £30 for two double vodkas was a bit expensive. Nice atmosphere, great location.

Always a good restaurant. Had the lamb rump special and can't fault the quality of the dish, it was very good. However, the quantity vs the price is a different story altogether. I understand that everything is expensive now, especially lamb, but I would've hoped to get more than 3 small lamb medallions for £24.95. The mash was a small handful and a single carrot was sliced into 3 pieces, add the jus and some garnish and that's your lot! Again, all very tasty and cooked well but I think punters deserve a bit more bang for their buck when it comes to a price like that.

Came in last night for a meal with friends, not been in for ages, had a lovely meal girls serving was so lovely and welcoming, food was excellent and the atmosphere was great highly recommend and will be telling friends, will definitely be back

I came to this pub earlier last month, the guy made me feel so welcomed,was really friendly...couldn't wait to come back. I came there again today for a meal with a friend and the girl working there made me feel so unwelcomed, very rude and patronizing.. I suggest u train ur staffs on how to treat and respect people of different color and ethnicity.. I felt so embarrassed. So disappointed.

It was a good meal although not a huge choice for what I may eat. Good company and excellent service

Absolutely cracking and cosy pub with log fires in every room. Incredible service, delicious food, and fantastic rooms if you stay (including a fry up that’s hard to beat)!

Awesome beer! 😃 the roasts are top notch and the staff well trained and friendly. Worth getting in early to guarantee a table for a Sunday Roast. :)

We stayed here a few weeks back and the staff were extremely polite, attentive, and the food was top notch! The room (located away from the pub) was very clean and a dream design. We're looking forward to going back!

Stayed for one night,room lovely and enjoyed a good night's sleep. Had Dinner in the restaurant and the service and food were top notch.There was a lovely warm ambience at The Bull. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful and tasty. Would definitely stay here again if up this way

Fantastic evening at the Bull in Newick with friends celebrating a birthday this evening. Had to write a review simply because the staff were an absolute delight and the food was exceptionally good. Would highly recommend.

We had a lunch in The Bull on Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed it. The pub is extremely cosy and beautiful, the service from everyone was top notch, so friendly and professional and the food was great too! I would highly recommend.

Visited for a light lunch. I had the chick pea and kale soup which was delicious. My lunch companion had a BLT ciabbatia which they enjoyed.

I gather a new owner has been running 'The Bull' since Christmas, and a night-stop, in bitterly cold weather yesterday was a real tribute to them. Excellent breakfast and evening meal, with immaculate, comfy and warm room. Friendly owner who stopped for a chat, added to the welcome. Certainly recommend either for just a meal or staying there.

Recently booked a nights accommodation here in order to attend a party at a friends house nearby. Incredibly helpful and accommodating staff (we had a slightly complicated request but staff were happy to help) and very comfortable! Would definitely stay again.

Visited the Bull on the green for a post Christmas drink. The pub itself is lovely inside, warm and inviting. Unfortunately I was told that I could not sit next to the open fire as it was in the dining area, despite there only being 10 people in the entire pub, none of which were dining. As I explained I would like to sit next to the fire for atmosphere, I was told this is not allowed. This is somewhat a strange approach given that this pub is in a village that has 3 pubs where you would expect it to be somewhat competitive and welcoming. On this basis I will avoid this pub in future as they clearly don’t understand hospitality or are in need of my custom. No wonder pubs are going under…

Had a lovely pre Christmas lunch with family, the food was amazing but the staff were so friendly made are visit so much better would definitely recommend well be back!!
