Yummy yummy oriental in Lewes

I'm actually disappointed with Yummy Yummy ...I've been a customer for 8years or more 🤔 I asked for the same order I did last time and got charged an extra 5pound even on top with Prawn crackers .too . but I don't kno what for or what has changed so I put an new order in and the phone was put down on me ...I always go to Yummy yummy..I've sent alot of customers there too ...so really disappointed in there customer service with who answered the phone ...oh dear ..hope it turns out alright there my favourite Chinese

Disgusting ordered for years but has gone downhill food is always cold and overpriced avoid like the plague.

Barely edible, and made me feel quite ill. I'd definitely avoid this place and use the other Chinese in town.

Always tasty and delivered hot. Reliable and fresh. Best and most convenient in our area. Wouldn’t go anywhere else. Always happy

Received Chinese yesterday 17 sep waited so long for it the driver gave me excuse talking amout the cash machine they carrier with them. the food was absolutely poor soggy spring rolls chips my son spatt the chip out tasted like piss. The Chinese noodles was no better all went in the bin. We complained yummy Chinese said you need to contact uber which we did. No money back they are soon quick enough to take your money cost me £23.62 but no refund avoid this company yummy Chinese and Uber

called up and the customer service is shocking. under new management phaha. dodgy. tried to over charge too. sort it out

Bought dinner for my family and I. Charged £12 over what it should have been. Food came and I can only describe the chow mein as slush! I ordered vegetable spring rolls for a family member who is a vegetarian and they sent duck! This shouldn’t be happening. My family along with myself have been showing signs of food poisoning. 2 of my family members are high risk/have low immune systems and they are very unwell. Not happy at all! Will avoid from now on.

As the title says, hit and miss with Yummy Yummy! Have been ordering from here for years and sometimes it's lovely and sometimes it's really naff. I dont usually do reviews but tonight hammered the nails in the coffin for us! We have never had such a slimy horrible Chow Mein 🤮 it went in the bin. It's a real shame that there's no consistency in the quality here.

This is best Chinese takeaway I’ve ever had. It’s beautiful. Hot food and quick delivery. Highly recommend

We decided to try a different takeaway and the service we received was excellent. Very efficient service from the moment we ordered to when our food was delivered. We ordered a range of dishes and the quality was excellent and still very hot. Will be using again in the future. Also impressed when I checked that they have a five star food & hygiene rating.

Dish wasn't what was stated in the menu (no beansprouts and Chinese greens - just onions!). And I'm afraid to say the S&S pork balls are the toughest, greasiest I ever had to endure. I've only managed to eat 20%^ of my meal. The rest is going in the dog bowl. Sorry Yummy Yummy. I will not ordering from you again.

You can’t get lower quality produce than from This restaurant. Do not waste your money. Food is low quality. Use castle Chinese instead. Bit more money but you get what you pay for.

We are students from China. We like the food and the people are very friendly. The noodles are tasty.

I would never order from this place, the food was disgusting, and the packaging the chips came in had a squashed fly in it. They said they was going to give me a full refund, for what I ordered, and they didn’t I rung them over 100 times, and one time the lady answered and then hung up on me. Such a bad place to order food from, they will never be getting my custom again.

Yummy yummy does the best satay sauce! Their pork balls have increased back to their normal size which is great news. Clean tasting prawn crackers. The delivery is always fast. Consistently good food.

We have been getting our Chinese takeaways from Yummy Yummy for years, and have always loved the food. They have always been our go-to Chinese, however, unfortunately after our last one we definitely won’t be eating any from there again. -Our chips were not fluffy nor light, they were hard and obviously had been re-heated numerous times. -The chicken balls were inedible and tough like cardboard, very dry and hard. -The spring rolls were very different to what we have had before, they had very little content inside and tasted horrible.-The egg fried rice was over cooked and dry.-The shredded chilli beef left a funny after taste in your mouth.-The sweet and Sour Hong Kong Style Chicken was tasteless and looked like it had been tipped out of a jar. -The only somewhat decent part of our order was the Black Bean Beef. Still not great for an order that big... It’s a shame because we have never had any issues with their food before, we called up to mention the food (we didn’t want anything, it was just to let them know) and they didn’t have an answer for the poor quality food.

We love yummy yummy. Have been using it for years. True, sometimes they were not so good but the manager told me that they had a temporary chef and now the food is back to being good again.I think it is the best fish and chips and the best chicken chow main and bbq ribs ever.

So I don’t live in Lewes, and I travelled 20 miles there and back to get my takeaway as I normally love yummy yummys food. Everything tasted really nice but my pork balls were tiny and the pieces of pork inside were about the size of a 5 pence piece. Normally they’re much bigger with large chunks of meat! Very disappointing.There was no point me ringing and complaining because I was at home when I realised and wasn’t going to travel all the way back. Gorgeous vegetarian spring rolls. Just very unhappy about the pork balls. I feel cheated out of my money.

This place has suffered over the years and has been to be blunt rubbish. Last two delivered meals have been spot on. Budget chinese takeaway that hits the spot.

The food gets better each year. Keep up the good work.. It really is soooo yummy and taste. I have no idea why the DFL's complain on the other reviews however I have been using Yummy Yummy for years and they just get better - outstanding!I have yummy, hot and crispy fish and chips and my partner had sausage and chips. Our son and daughter has cheesy chips and they love it!

I have been a regular and loyal customer of this takeaway for over 5 years. The last few have been pants but edible which led me to believe they have either lowered their standards or changed management. The most recent one last night is the final straw. It arrived cold and really not very nice at all. I am sad to say that this is the end of our relationship Yummy Yummy, goodbye :(

Ordered take away this month, waited over 2 hours for food that was oily and didn't have much flavour. We live less than 10 minutes away. Not worth it at all, really isn't what it used to be.

This place has changed hands, the food is better than ever and the staff are very helpful, a vast selection of food on the menu and not bad price wise.

I ordered Seeet and Sour PorknBalls and a Beef Chow Mien Plus Egg Fried Rice and it was disgraceful. Bland and the beef hard to chew.

I'm not normally the one to write bad reviews but 6 months ago this was my favourite place to order Chinese, sounds awful but myself and my partner treated ourselves every weekend if not every other weekend to a Yummy Yummy and it was amazing, always order the same every time. Now in the last few weeks we have ordered from here twice and both times we have been so poorly in the morning if not just after a few hours of eating! We had symptoms of mild food poising and I'm afraid I won't ever be ordering from here again, and just want to give people heads up before ordering from here, such a shame. First time I let it slide but can't be coincidence that it had happened twice and to both of us.

Quite simply, hideous/ I know I shouldn’t have but l ordered some chips and they were so bland even the dog didn’t want one. Save your money

We ordered food for six people on a Sunday night, great service, kind and fast, we had lots of different dishes to suit everyone. The roast duck was deep fried, clearly roasted first then deep fried. The chilli beef had deep fried batter and we all tried to find the beef... which we didn’t. That was the worst. The Chinese leaves were the bottom part of the leaves and very glupy, the prawns were big but the sauce far too sweet. The ribs were very nice, to be fair. Lots of lumps of fat but still delicious. The veg chop suey was just vile. Sorry, we will never never go back there. Good value, great service but mostly terrible food.

I have used Yummy Yummy as a go to for years when ordering take away in Lewes. Have always had a great meals with good sized portions for the money.

Was passing on my way home so went in for something to take away.

Extensive menu, everything cooked fresh, friendly staff. And of course the food itself is fantastic. We even bought a portion of chips there recently and they were better than from our usual fish & chip shop.

Have had Chinese and fish and chips from here. Both really good. The fish was enormous and good value for money.

They do an amazing asian take on chips with onions, spring onions and chilli in a Chinese way. their other stuff is well nice too but i always go for the spicy chips. My friends often get a chow mein which they enjoy

Nunca he sido fan de la comida china, aunque mi novia le encanta. He evitado por un largo tiempo ya que estoy siempre decepcionado. Habiendo tenido una larga semana de trabajo y realmente no desean cocinar me cedió y aceptó un delicioso delicioso de llevar como mi novio siempre elogiaron la calidad de la comida. Yo llevar todo mi pasado negativo de comida china! Este es limpia, para llevar la comida a la orden prepara y el resultado es muy sabroso, buena comida china de excelente nivel! Sin duda volveré aquí otra vez.

Comida China realmente razonable y buen gusto, el personal es muy amable, nada es demasiado problema para ellos.

Used to be good, but it has definitely gone downhill recently. The last two times I bought from here I couldn't finish the food it was pretty bad. Maybe they have a new chef. If so, he/she needs to go!

I work in Lewes and have been using Yummy Yummy for 10 years. I think it is superb. I have tried most of the dishes and have yet to find one I didn't like. The Singapore rice and the "spicy chips" are two favourites that go with most of the mains. The staff are great, service is prompt and they also seem to have lots of drivers working all week.

We love near here and come here often for Chinese or even chips. Delicious food and lovely, friendly people. Definitely recommend here. The name says it all!

We live nearby this take away Chinese restaurant and use it frequently. They have a multitude of tasty dishes from reasonably priced starters and extensive mains to choose from.Portions are very generous too and we find one rice us enough for two.I recommend the "Yummy 3 in 1" dish with chicken, beef and pork mixed with Chinese mushrooms and veg. Another favourite is the sweet and sour Hong Kong style chicken or the Singapore noodles.They also do fish and chips.Dishes are prepared super fast even when busy.When we have used the delivery service it has been fast however we don't live very far away.

We like Chinese food and this is a good quality made for the UK market Chinese take-away who deliver in the area to your door. The service has always been very good and we can recommend the squid, satay chicken stir-fry, Hong Kong style sweet & sour pork and deep fried crispy shredded beef. Its all in the name,Yummy.

The selection here is not your usual uninspired, overpriced fried takeaway. They have the most comprehensive menu I've seen in years and things are cooked to perfection. Would second the salt and pepper items. Good value too

Good food. Highly recommended. The guy behind the counter has a very good memory - I phone my order through and then I pickup my order in person. He knows who I am as soon as I walk in to collect my order and my orders there waiting. That's what I call good prompt service.

Yummy Yummy never fails to disappoint. Great selection of food, always quick to prepare and reasonably priced. Some of the best salt & chilli pepper I've ever had and the house rice in gravy is not to be sniffed at

Stopped off here after a visit to Lewes in the evening - great Chilli Chips which were a large portion with real chopped chillies on them. Good price for them as well due to the large portion and quick service - fish cakes very good as well.Chinese shop but an English chap serving at the counter taking orders.Recommend these chips - good bit of spice on them,Enjoy
