Waited and waited in car park for cold food worst MD ever never

Been sat waiting 45 minutes so far in the drive through. It ain’t fast food any longer, this place gets worse every time I come. If it wasn’t for my kids I would NEVER return.

Cold food a very small fish burger and cold after waiting over 20 mins for it

Early morning (4:30) ish. Just off ferry. Very quiet but still used cups and used food wrapping laying around, cleaning staff just wandering about aimlessly. Place sould spotless that time of day.

Painfully slow service. Been here a few times and have waited at least 20 minutes each time. And I only ever order small too, dread to think if I ordered big. I always, without fail, get asked to park up when I go through the drive through, I really don’t understand what takes so long!

Cold burger, cold fries, only my cappucino was hot

Had food delivered, delivery was fine, but when opened which was sealed,the three toffee apple pies missing, was refunded, but disappointed.

Great McDonald's branch. I used table service and the colleague who served me was exceptional. Really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Best McDonald's experience I have had in a long time. Food piping hot and fries fresh and crispy. Restaurant and toilets clean and kiosks working properly. 5 * plus!!

Avoid, avoid. Have never been here and received my 'fast food' order in under 30 minutes.

The slowest fast food service I've ever known.

Every time I’ve been through the drive through here I’ve had to park up and wait 10-15 minutes for my food, which often comes incomplete. Been at different times of the day and it’s always the same. Worst McDonald’s ever

Tonight, the place was filthy dirty. Staff made no attempt to clear tables or sweep the floor and just walked over the rubbish. Unfortunately, only one of the F toilets was working, and they could have done with a clean and some air freshener as they really stunk! We waited ages for food, for very little customers ordering. However, the food this was HOT, which makes a change and is a bonus.

It's an okay place. Food is okay, but the thing which let's it down is the wait time for the food, I had to wait nearly 1 hour for food, but they have plenty of staff, the other things is which makes it a 1 star is they will drop tools on to the floor which they use to pick up food with. Without cleaning them

Really bad I ordered a bacon mayo chicken, when I finally got it after 10 minutes waiting in the car park because we went in the drive thru it came with no mayo in it, and one tiny piece of lettuce the size of a penny so overall disappointing.

Must have come at the wrong time because the wait for food was over 30 minutes and as the self serve kiosk didn't give a receipt, and they lost our order from their system, we are lucky (Thanks Luke!) we got our order (minus a regular fries) in the end. Will say their kids area was stocked with crayons and colouring pages so lots to keep the kids entertained during the long wait.

Absolutely unbelievable. Spoke a geld. Staff cannot read a simple order. They can’t refund you even if they miss half your order. How do these people have jobs.

Zero Stars.. 40min wait currently and still waiting. The car park is full from no drive through orders being fulfilled. Avoid at all costs.

Ordered on deliveroo well within breakfast service time. They took too long and cancelled my order at 12 midday and have deliveroo the excuse they were closed...

Waited almost 3 hours it said delivered and never even arrived

if it wasn't for 1 squashed burger, I would have said it was near perfect for a McDonalds delivery.

The only bad thing was they forgot to give another straw

For many years they used to have open doors at nighttime attracting night crowds, workers and emergency services having a quick break until a few days ago when they decided to shut their doors at 12, now it it is only drive through and weirdly enough they even locked out their own delivery drivers so now they have to pick up their deliveries from their drive through hatch walking infront of the cars which can be dangerous and doesn't look quite right. There is nothing else open for many miles so this decision is a disservice to the community that supports them with their cash. As far as I am aware there has been no antisocial behaviour issues to justify this

Just a cheap burger joint, great grandson likes it but I had one of there burgers once and it was like 3 bits of cardboard never had one of there burgers since it's ok for kids

Waited over 50 minutes for food which was two items after told to park up via drive thru. Was cold when arrived. Staff were rude too and passed blame. If youre asked to park up...dont...say youll wait at window. Thatll also stop other orders being taken so youll get your food quicker and warmer.

Been coming here for lunch for 9 years now , gradually got worse , lucky to not get parked up for a cheeseburger lately , currently sitting here watching the whole car park fill up with parked orders , it’s lunch time …. Surely you’d start cooking before the rush , getting bored of it now 🙄

Filthy toilets! Coffee half cold. Staff rude and ignore people queuing. The chap next to me called for help/service and the four people we could see just 3 paces away from us totally ignored his call. Not impressed.

Always missing stuff if you use drive thru. Chips always under the portion size seems you only get real value and service if you go inside drive thru is just chucked together. Toilets always stink and not enough seating inside or outside for the location. sauce in dispensers taste watered down and the last time we had double cheese burgers there they were literally soaking wet and had no flavour not enough people complain so this place gets away with selling bad quality food. the milkshake machine is hardly ever on they are always cleaning it or it needs maintainence. staff are friendly enough but maybe a little more training actually needs to take place here. Just gets worse every time After trying this place again today I've come to the conclusion it's just badly managed and poorly staffed. 30 mins waiting for a meal. Not even with special requirements absolutely disgusting

Cold food and no sauces. We were turned away at the door when there was still 15 mins till closing. We asked several times to make sure everything was in the order. 1/4 of the drink was spilled too. Not impressed and won’t be ordering delivery again

Unbelievably slow, and poor quality even by mc standards

We ordered are food at 8 o’clock and didn’t receive after 10 pm this was my children’s dinner and 2 hours to wait for food is unacceptable

Food took over an hour to get here but to be honest there was nothing wrong with the order at all! Which is rare for newhaven. no sauce missing, food was fairly warm still when it arrived just what a performance lads giving delivery time a 3 star but quality a 5 and to be honest I would prefer to wait if it means that it’s going to be like how it was for me tonight 10/10

No dips or straws. Useless as always

it took so long to get here, nearly 90 mins, it was stone cold and we didn't eat more than a few mouthfuls. it is now in the bin. they clearly had been made for the original order time (20-35 mins) and then just sat there waiting for a driver to come at some point.

When ordered delivery time was given as 30 minutes. It was then continuously updated until finally delivered 2.5 hours after it was ordered. The delivery driver was fine - the restaurant cannot cope with demand it seems

Just gets worse waiting 20 mins in drive through to be then told park up !! Multi million pound brand zero staff and poor training customer service ! Food was awful. Missing chicken, only received a bun! Chip boxed only half full. . McFlurry were all runny. Milkshake was warm.

Probably the worst MacDonald’s in the world always mess orders up staff are rude, food is normally cold when you have to wait 20-40 Minutes for food, it’s no longer fast food anymore ever since Deliveroo showed up, all them orders are prioritised Awful, awful service!

Unfortunately the milkshake machines weren’t operating so had to have a coke instead, but otherwise all fine & arrived quickly 👍

As always you get what you expect, quick service and well served average food at a good price

Not only was my delivery half an hour late, as usual the McDonald staff are completely incompetent and are unable to make sure you have all of the items paid for and take no care whatsoever to pack your food as all of my food was squished in the bottom of the bag and damaged. I understand it’s fast food but it’s becoming a joke

I ordered at 18:40. Food was then predicted for delivery between 1920-1940. It repeatedly changed so I took screen shots. The entire time it said the driver was waiting for my order so it took an hour to serve a burger and chips to him then? The large chips box was half empty, burger was a mess and drink was flat. I feel for the very busy and over worked staff but somethings not right and it’s impacting the quality of the food and service. I’m considering going to ombudsman about it.

Needed a very early breakfast with a hot drink & nothing else was open. Thought this would do... food ok, nothing special & drinks were hot. Cheap & cheerful till we had to use the toilet facilities... seemed like there was a party the night before and no one bothered keeping anything tidy or tried cleaning up any mess. The same in all 3 (men/woman/disabled) couldn't wait to get out quick enough. Probably wouldn't have ordered food if we went to the toilet first. There is no need to have the facilities looking like that!

Worst Mac D's in Sussex. Service is so slow the food heats up whilst your waiting for it. Not a drive through more a park up and wait 15mins for cold food that looks like someone has sat on it. Always told its because we're busy!!! Been to Brighton marina which is always rammed and never have to wait this long

I find these days that McDonald's can be a bit hit and miss regarding the quality of the food and also if the site has a drive through I've tended to find the dine in and walk in orders seem to get forgotten a bit but anyway this McDonald's isn't too bad at all

I was informed that my food order was going to be delayed by up to 20 minutes. but it was actually only 10 after the latest first delivery time

Food was decent but arrived 30+ minutes later than their original estimated delivery time. A total of 1hr 5mins for delivery.

Everything here is bad. Is macdonalds not fast food. Maybe making deliveroo your priority is all wrong ! When I went the place was empty was still waiting for my eat in food 15 minutes later

The toilets were disgusting. We couldn't use them. The staff were indifferent. I hope the kitchen is in better shape.

They struggled with the busy footfall at that particular time of day. Slow... really slow service. Overcooked fries which were also too heavily salted. The burger came out squished and looked unappetising. One of the kids toys were missing altogether from their happy meals. Given one extra star than each section deserved due to how busy it was. Just a shame that they really did struggle so much.

Good quick freshly cooked and staff very friendly. Sorry this has to be the dirtiest McDonald’s ever see pictures. No attempt to sweep up or wipe tables ( or serving counter which was very dirty )

Everytime I order chicken nuggets from McDonalds they do not include the dip that is supposed to come with it, even when specifically requested in order notes not to forget. This is the 3rd time now it has happened

food nice , warm , got our order right . exept for my garlic mayo. you know , it’s fine ! i don’t mind . i just like my nuggets with garlic mayo . but there was none in the bag , and as i said that’s totally okay , i didn’t cry . definitely didn’t cry . but they did give me a ‘rich tomato dip ‘ which i was surprised to find is just a fancier ketchup with like herbs and garlic or whatever . and you know, i still used the weird tomato dip for my nuggets , it was all i had because there was no garlic mayo. it wasn’t bad if i’m honest it was quite enjoyable ! but it wasn’t garlic mayo . i don’t know who forgot the garlic mayo . but whoever it was i can only assume hd some other life issues going on that would cause them to do such a thing , so of course i’m not upset . i was very tempted to get deliveroo to get me a garlic mayo , was gonna be £6 delivery so i didn’t but i did consider it. i hope the pot of garlic mayo i was gonna have lives a good life , even though it will be without me . chips go hard very yum yum

Everytime I go here the service is so slow and awful even the drive through has a massive queue and then you have to sit in the car park and still wait for your food

unfortunately the hot part of the order had to be reheated whilst the chilled mcflurry was close to liquid.

My order was half an hour late. The food was barely warm and the ice cream had melted. I can only imagine it was left out on the side for half an hour. Not impressed.

The best fast food to fit any budget.

How this place is still open is beyond me. They are completely inept, incapable of getting an order right, serving it to you while it is even remotely hot, or taking less than 25 minutes to make it. I don't even go there any more as its been run so horrendously badly for multiple years, but unfortunately as a "treat" my office gets us a McDonalds breakfast once a month from this place, which results in half the office going without breakfast as the order is ALWAYS missing half the food. Luckily they have a phone number you can call to let them know your order is wrong, which they literally DO NOT ANSWER. Really great restaurant. Avoid it like the plague.

Myself and my family ordered mcdonalds as a treat, little did we know that it would turn into a 1 hour wait, ice cold burgers and missing all 4 of the medium fries it advertises in the squad burger deal.

I don't call 2 slices of cucumber, 2 slices of tomato and 2 bits of red onion on top of a box full of rocket a salad. The crispy chicken was fine bit tte salad a huge disappointment

Normally I love MC fries but they put waaaay too much salt on them here. Inedible. Food always arrives cold if you get it delivered. No matter if you tip or not.

Every time I go here they somehow manage to forget half of my order or just not bother with giving me the dips I paid for, do not get a delivery from here, they will mess it up.

Atmosphere is standard for MaccyD’s but the service is abysmal - you could be the only person at the drive thru with a half empty restaurant and still be told to park up for them to bring the food out. Currently waiting in the car for 20mins for a single meal deal. The servers and staff are trying their best but it’s like the managers just don’t care. Such a shame!

When the delivery driver got here, he said he spilled both drinks and the food inside was wet.

The restaurant itself was as you' expect: clean and fine. We waited over 25 minutes after ordering without an update. The servers seemed to lose our order and were confused when we asked for an update. We won't visit again.
