McDonald's in Lewes

Many customers complaining about omissions/mistakes in orders. Those about to board nearby ferry getting stressed due to the slow service.

Several times I've visited the order has been missing items or take ages to be delivered to car, consistently the worst McDonald's I've been to.

Dreadful branch of McDonalds. Visited tonight, everyone was waiting over half an hour, and rightly so, people were kicking off. Staff were doing their best, but there was a lack of management and they were clearly short staffed. Why be so greedy and keep taking online orders if you can’t handle the demand in the restaurant? Happens all the time, it’s always dreadful in this branch. Customers left in the restaurant waiting for well over half an hour, whilst delivery drivers block the counters and harass for their food. It’s been worse ever since they started the deliveries. Meanwhile, in the restaurant, you get kept waiting for ages, whilst listening to hundreds of oven alarms and timers going off while you wait. It’s a horrible experience and a complete shambles in there. Food was cold when it eventually came out. Will save myself the bother next time, spend a bit more and go to KFC. Avoid unless you’ve got hours of time to kill and like cold burgers.

Ordered 1 burger, was in the drive through for 15 minutes waiting for another car to pay. Got to the window paid, went to the next one. Told to park up?! For one burger. Parked up, nobody came within 15 minutes. In the end left without said burger. Wallet lighter, burgerless. Nightmare.

Sad to say the service is getting worse

Absolutely shocking terrible delivery service…. Tried to order last night I ended up waiting about a whole hour to then cancel my order I called them no one ever picks up the dam phone I then tried again today, keeps swapping me to different delivery drivers then cancelling on me absolutely disgusting all I want is one meal why does it take so long

Been here few times and the drive through is pointless as they never have the food available.

Hi guys I’ve visited here several times due to working in the area food is always alright however there is always a lot of staff. However my van is too large to go in the drive through so I have to go in to the restaurant to order food. I always find that it takes quite a while to get my food. I don’t order anything special just a double sausage and egg muffin or a quarter pounder with cheese. Really not quite sure why. Lunchtimes can get extremely busy. Have enclosed a video of an early morning breakfast took about 15mins to get my muffin and I was one of the only people in there. Plus side loads of parking as it’s in a retail park. I would visit again due to convenience. Oh the hot chocolate has hardly any chocolate in it tastes like boiling water!!!!!

Ordered a happy meal at the drive through - was handed a drink and told to park up. So far been waiting 20 minutes... for a happy meal! So much for fast food. I think we'll give up at this rate. Poor show.

Horrible place ..for a month I have been working in Newhaven, every time I come to this McDonald's it's a wait of 30/40 minutes for 2 little burgers to take away..to have shitty burger

TERRIBLE. slow and useless, I gave up in the end, I only wanted a drink! Gave up and got a refund and left. Do yourself a favour, avoid this badly managed McDonald's, the manager here needs sacking for running such a disaster of a McDonald's, easily the worst I've ever been in, EVER!!!

Always asked to park up when using the drive through, then an extended wait time in the car park for the food. One other thing I have notice is order compliance, i.e. not betting what was ordered and paid for.

i would like to start off by saying we ordered mcdonald’s off deliveroo at 11 and it didn’t come till 12:30!! every time i go in there, there is always something absolutely diabolical from toilets smelling like sewers, rude service, filthy dine-in. i have been going there for years and only started having big problems 2 years ago- onwards without fail -and they seem to always disappoint. i payed £30 for my order and everything came ice-cold, there was brown stuff in my banana milkshake and all over the cup- we didn’t order anything brown -and it smelt like nail polish. the dips never arrived it was so aweful and it’s not a busy time right now so shouldn’t be this bad. it’s safe to say i’m fuming and a waste of money don’t bother going to this mcdonald’s. i have been coming here for a while now and it’s just going downhill. this seriously needs to be sorted out its not good enough and your going to lose customers. Disgusting!!!!

Just waited 25mins for food after ordering at the drive through, and when the food arrived it was stone cold! This has to be the worst Mcdonalds I’ve ever visited.

I asked for changes to the fillet o fish so it should have been cooked fresh. It was so chewy and dry that I couldn't eat it. They also forgot a bottle of milk. Service was OK. Don't know why I went really it's always disappointing down there.

Waited over 25 minutes for 2 coffee's I had to ask for them to make them and they had no idea they missed my order, others while I was waiting were reporting that's Thier "got drinks" were cold and items were missing and mixed up orders

Drive through told me 20 minutes wait... I was in a hurry so declines, but then struck in a long queue to get away. They should have informed you of the wait before joining the queue.

The worst McDonald’s in the UK! Do not go here. Food is always cold, they take extra long to even give you a drink. The waiting time for anything is 30 mins and plus!

Currently sat at the WORST McDonald’s in the UK: Newhaven. Having ordered our food over 45 MINS AGO, we are still sat in the car park waiting for our food having finished our drinks. There is absolutely NOTHING fast about this food!!! It seems as if no one knows what’s going on and the sugar loss has made us collectively delirious, now all politely beeping our car horns in hope. Wouldn’t recommend. Unless you have no other plans for the day, leave it out. Better be the best breakfast muffin ever made. UPDATE: went in the inform the manager it had been 45 MINUTES and he acted as if we were the problem!!! Said our order had now been removed from the board and therefore couldn’t be tracked, so we needed to order off the now day menu… WHAT?!?! After telling them how unacceptable this is, we were finally given our food from a desperate corner of the kitchen, COLD. No apology for the 45 mins of our day wasted. The absolute GALL. Should be shut down.

Predictable with excellent salad... crisp and fresh...

Put in for a refund. No syrup. Specifically asked. Now my husband has had to drive down there and food is cold so had to warm up. Can't eat these dry. Not good

Got asked to park up. Had to wait 20 minutes for my food which when arrived was cold, no serviettes. Ate it anyway as I was in a hurry and felt a bit ill afterwards. Very disappointing experience.

the delivery time was made later and later, the 'food' was finally delivered 80 minutes after ordering. when the original order was made it was supposed to be around 35 minute wait. when the food was finally delivered the courier did apologise for the wait but the food was stone cold. we will not order from this mcdonalds again. they are totally incompetent and the food inside the bag looked like it had been made the day before and bore no resemblance to any of the pictures shown on the website.

I've never had a good easy quick experience with this drive through or buy in. Staff are friendly enough but its a shambles. Drive through is always a wait and today nothing about our order was correct and it took around 5minutes to get a fruit bag they had forgotten. Its not fast food and it doesnt seem to be able to deal with large volume of food orders! Only go here if its your Last resort and your not in a rush!

Waited half and hour, got cold fries and a burger without the burger in it! When I asked for a replacement the fries were slightly warmer and the burger was cold.

Do not go to the peacehaven McDonald's, well unless you want cold food, for which you have to wait 25 mins for. Been this way for almost 3 years now.

McDelivery? McCon more like. Items I have paid for not packed in the bags and delivered which is a fault of the store and not the delivery driver. Is someone pocketing money from not providing items ordered and PAID FOR BY YOUR CUSTOMERS? Completely unhappy. You just lost a customer. Disgusted.

Management this is your fault and I hope head office read this. It's not the young staff. You are the managers - 30 mins for a kids happy meal. You need to address the management and get this processing line sorted

Stone cold and didn’t get all I ordered absolutely joke waited over 2 hours

Ever since Uber eats (etc) became a thing, this place has become a shambles. The waiting area is now packed with swarms of delivery drivers, who act as if they own the place, almost like a cult, and expect regular customers to wait at the back. At times, it's difficult to even get close to the service desk, and the drivers get upset if you invade 'their space'. Additionally, it's clear they haven't catered for the increased workload online orders have caused. Orders frequently back up, with masses of people waiting forever for their food, both in the restaurant and car park. The printers sometimes run out of ink, presumably due to lack of maintenance, causing chaos as people don't know who ordered what, and staff frequently spend their time fending off complaints. Because of the above, we stopped visiting this McDonald's ages ago, even though it's our local. Tonight we gave it another chance, and to my shock, it was even worse! I had to push past the hordes of drivers to wait for my order, and was abruptly told to wait elsewhere (I didn't and stood my ground). No restaurant, not even even fast food establishments, should make customers feel second class against paid staff (even staff who are not employed by the ). Never again. I'm eating elsewhere from now on.

Probably the worst run McDonald's establishment I've ever been to, unfortunately it's my local one! Regularly mismanaged to the point of complete failure to deliver any food, crowds of disgruntled people and a drive thru stacked up so far it's been queued into the main road. Parked up cars were honking horns in frustration one of the more recent visits because they'd been waiting 45 mins for food.

Asked to wait in the carpark whilst food prepared, time it came it was cold and the double cheese burger looked like they had played football with it before putting it in the bag. Awful 😖

Probably the worst McDonald's I have ever been to. The toilets had the most disgusting smell where the sanitary bins are not cleaned. Food was cold, latte tasted horrible and was lukewarm. Staff were helpful when I complained and the young lady said she had told the manager about the toilets and they would look into it.

Their is always something missing every time we order. BBQ sauce and cheee bite share box its big thing to miss off order. And all you get back is to submit refund no option to re deliver

Genuinely one of the worst fast food places in the local area. Don't bother going there. Hopefully they'll get new management who know how to run a fast food service.

I over my kids dinner at 6pm and didn't get until 8:10pm it is luke warm no sauces again.

Useless walked in waited 55 minutes for our food chased twice absolutely shocking. Uber driver came three times while we waited unreal

disappointing. Today I was there at 7 am to make a collection. When I arrived and waited patiently for more than 15 minutes, I asked a Bome Taila employee about my order twice and she ignored me, after which she told me that customers come in first place and drivers second, after that I asked to speak to the manager and informed him that I was filming to have proof of how drivers are treated, the manager named Zak threatened me saying he would call the police if I didn't stop filming however didn't mind checking my problem. After that he called the police who informed him that what he was doing was not against the law. When I arrived at the restaurant, my order was marked on the tablet screen as the next one to be made, however, as I was a driver, the employee named Tayla made 35 orders and many of them arrived after my order. neglect and poor service. I'm forwarding the video to those responsible for Macdonalds in the UK. since internally they do not improve and they treat us very badly.
