Just celebrated my mums 85th birthday 🎂 in the best way possible with the most fabulously scrumptious afternoon tea at Lady Scarletts. From the wonderfully warm welcome, a beautifully decorated table in the heart of the tea rooms, full of delicious treats, candles and buckets of tea to the fabulous nostalgic wartime decor and music, a truly emmersive experience. Every attention to detail was made to ensure we celebrated in style and had everything we needed xxx Even Barney our faithful hound was treated to his own special seat at the table and treats! Cant recommend highly enough! If you're in Ventnor this is by far the best place to come for some tasty treats and to step back graciously in time with the quirky decor and the warmest of welcomes. Thankyou so much for making our mums birthday a truly magical and memorable occasion ✨️

Well what can I say, Toni's is a fabulous little tea room located on the sea front. We visited just before lunch as we wanted a snack & a drink. Pobably the best I've visited on the Isle Of Wight, lovely staff, a restful atmosphere and above all, freshly made food. Oh, how could I forget, the beautiful little dog Tolusha, fast asleep on a chair she made her own, bless her. If we are ever back on the IOW, we'll definitely return again. Highly recommended. Amazing spot on IOW. Not clear why the whole island is not here! Delicious coffee, yummy cakes next to a fire overlooking a garden!

Brilliant restaurant on seafront. Gorgeous food and lovely wines by the glass.

We came for the weekend for my aunts 60th birthday. We had a private dining room in the hotel with our own menu on the Friday night. Food was delicious, could not fault it. The hotel went to a real effort to cater for 2 of our party who have quite severe dietary requirements which was greatly appreciated. Chefs are extremely talented, and the staff are nothing short of exceptional. Molly particularly stood out, with her in depth knowledge of the menu/drinks. She was super friendly and extremely attentive. She paid attention and was quick to cater to our needs. Boys at the bar were also lovely and cocktails were superb. Probably the best expresso martini I’ve ever had! Rooms are stunning and very clean, I was surprised how big the rooms were and how comfy the beds/pillows were. Despite the beds being so cosy, please get up in the morning and make sure you go down for breakfast - some of the best brekkie I’ve had. All in all, such a delightful experience and would recommend to anyone wanting that VIP feel from a staycation. P.S dog friendly is a huge bonus! The staff loved our Poppy and she loved them :)

Crab and mackerel right by the sea. What more could you want? Not cheap, but nobody wants a cheap crab pasty and everything is here is top quality and is really good value. The wine is good quality too and compliments the food. Also, the setting is fab and with access a bit challenging you feel as if your meal is well earned.

Visited the Smoking Lobster with friends for out of season lunch (2 or 3 course). Very friendly and attentive waitress and fast service. Friends had the bream and I had the teriyaki steak burger. Bream was OK but dry, burger was ordinary. In all a bit disappointing for a lunch costing £75 a couple at a prestigious restaurant.

My family and I stayed for 3 nights over Christmas 2024, The hotel is like Downton Abbey .Stylish yet from another era .Loved the heavy brass bedroom keys .The staff and food Could not have been better . Loved the whole experience .Living on the Island I have only heard great reviews . Can highly recommend this hotel and staff .

A must for lunch ! We both had crab salad . A mountain of fresh leaves home made slaw and fresh crab on top served with crusty bread. Lovely Sea front table uninterrupted views out to sea

What an amazing place, two happy women greeting us at the counter. Both with smiles 😊 which makes a refreshing change. The food was cooked to order, good quality and tasted lovely. We even had ice cream which made my son's happy. A great end of the evening. Five out of five for service. We advised one of the servers to look up Jeremy Clarkson / Clarkson Farm. To help with information on the Hawkstone lager they are serving 😊👍

Should be amazing sadly quality was not with us today. Staff can be really pleasant. The outside is to die for, food just not where it should be . Toilets unsure.

Nicely arranged, very atmospheric. This place is like a time vortex, it captivates you with different sensory triggers! In parts it's hard to believe you're in the UK.

Sunday lunch at The Mill Bay Carvery, Ventnor Seafront. What a lovely meal! Great food at a fair price for Sunday lunch, great service, friendly staff and a stunning sea view. Highly recommended.
