The best restaurants in Shalford Guildford South East

All the single ladies (bit of Beyonce there 🤣🤣), well, 5 of us from @binscombechurch, met for a fantastic Thai meal 😋 and sat outside on an available wooden table & benches to eat & chat. Food was freshly cooked and tasted great 👍. Having been well fed & fortified, we then took the long way home - walking 4.6miles through the lovely local woods and via the edge of the Loseley Estate. Friendly Team & great food 😋 👌 👍

It's hard to find good Thai food in the UK, this place was great and were great with my food intolerances!

Good food, friendly atmosphere. The only thing, when we went we thought the restaurant was open daily but it isn't and only does breakfast fri/sat.

Reasonable fish and chips - not the best but not the worst. Very expensive though - £14.10 (cash only) for small cod and chips with mushy peas. This now takes the record as the most expensive fish and chips I have ever bought. Portion sizes adequate but not particularly generous for the price. Chips passable - could have been crisper. Batter on the fish a bit greasy but not too thick and not soggy. Cod inside decent quality and well cooked. Fish cooked to order.

Best full English ever quality ingredients cooked perfectly and every element hot. Lovely staff. Shame we were just passing through, and it’s not local to us.

Firstly, the staff were very careful with my order as I wanted oat milk rather than normal milk and they obviously take great care over people with allergies. So all credit to them for that. The young man who served us was really lovely and helpful. Rest of staff were ok but not that friendly or helpful. There was an icy wind blasting through as doors kept being left open and we discovered that the one leading out of the coffee shop by the toilet had been left open all the time so no wonder we were freezing. Also we discovered by accident that you had to pay for the car park. There is a small notice as you come from the larger car park further round that it is quite easy to miss. You pay by QR code or you can pay in the shop. No one checks whether you have paid for your car parking. It appears briefly on the tv screen in the cafe and staff weren’t that helpful about it. I tried the QR code as we were leaving but it didn’t work. I checked with one of the staff who said if it hadn’t worked then to leave it. But she commented at the end that if people didn’t start paying for the car park then they wouldn’t be able to stay open. Frankly they need to make the need to pay for the car park far more obvious and make it easier to do so on buying your food in the cafe. Staff should prompt people if they want to ensure people are paying.

Awesome local pub. Great atmosphere beer, food and staff. Couldn't wish for more.

Sunny lunch time in the garden and the food here was amazing. So many options I fancied on the menu but in the end I chose the Mediterranean quiche, which was delicious. Large group of friendly walkers on the table next to us, so we had a good view of some of the other options and also could hear their complimentary comments. We will definitely have to go back and try the other options! Pretty secluded peaceful country garden. We ate from the bar food menu opposed to the restaurant menu but that looked great too. Service was fantastic by all the staff. We didn’t feel our bill was overpriced for the quality of food and service we received. Didn’t see the inside of the pub, so can’t comment.

If the courier had delivered on time then the food would have been at a better quality.
