Poppies Restaurant and Shop in Guildford

Good food, friendly atmosphere. The only thing, when we went we thought the restaurant was open daily but it isn't and only does breakfast fri/sat.

Poppies restaurant is situated on Widdicombe farm Caravan Park Paignton Torbay .I’ve just had a week there and eaten in poppies five times and had good home-made food with amazing value. Especially The Sunday carvery brilliant value at £11.25 per person. I’ve never had such luck on any other caravan park restaurant For this type of quality in the whole of the UK. We are hoping to return again this September for a weeks break and enjoy The lovely food produced there and all the veg is fresh and not frozen.

A very warm welcome good food at very affordable prices that won’t break the bank. And an extremely good carvery and again at an affordable price.

Had a takaway, basic average food, nothing to rave about but with prices so low what would you expect, would return and use again if I ever returned to Widdicombe Farm touring park,

Well I can only say - amazing. Went in and asked if they did vegan food and if I could pick a table. I opted for vegan lasagne and ordered at the time of booking. We had an outside table because of the dog and it was all ready for us. We only waited 10 minutes for our food came. It was absolutely delicious and piping hot. Portions were generous and the food was tasty. The staff were really helpful and kind which was a nice change from some of the places I have frequented recently. Great place to eat.

Amazing food all the time mandy and her staff are amazing. Mandy always goes out her way to make sure you food is how you like it. She's lovely to talk to going to miss her

What a lovely gem of a place to eat lovely food always hot and good sizes. Lovely selection of puddings. The staff are friendly and welcoming and always willing to please. We also enjoyed a lovely bbq on the Tuesday which was good vs,use for money. We will definitely be back next year. This is jack rabbit signing off.

Staying on site for 2 weeks, had the Sunday lunch which was fantastic and the homemade processco and blackcurrant cheesecake yum yum. It was served on a plate with foil so we could take it to our caravan and tuck in. We have also had the breakfast baps which were great. Highly recommended don't miss out.

Visited this restaurant on the last evening of our stay at Widicombe Farm and wished we had visited earlier in the week. Really enjoyed our meals which were reasonably priced and we were well looked after by the staff. Will definitely go more often on our next visit.

We used this restaurant for a take away evening meal on our first night. Good home cooked food, large portions of hot and quality food. Would recommend if staying at Widdecomb Farm Site. They also keep a few provisions that campers tend to forget to take!

We visited the poppies restaurant for breakfast and evening meals. They offer a specials which change every evening.

The food was great and good value for money. Great service and spotlessly clean. It was so good that we returned for breakfast the following day.

We hadn't been in the restaurant this year, but I wish we had, the service is as good as ever and the food was wonderful, same as last year. We had the 'deal' which is excelent value, and the staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly, my wife is now disabled but there wasn't a problem. I'm looking forward to the breakfast now, always wonderful.

Had the late breakfast on both days. Very filling ideal for a camper. Freshly cooked and well presented. Not a long wait and very friendly staff.

Sunday roast , exceptional! !!!! Served by amazing friendly people. Excellent value for money, best roast dinner I've had for a while.

The restaurant offers very reasonable priced and well cooked food. One of the best Sunday roasts around and a great breakfast, much better than the usual pub grub. Small minus point is be prepared to take cash as the restaurant does not accept card payment this is a personal note as I prefer to pay by card.

Breakfasts and evening meals good choices on menu ,food arrived quickly and freshly cooked which is always good

This is our first visit to Widdecombe farm Touring Park. We had the good fortune to visit the on site cafe/restaurant.

Wonderful home cooked food, all cooked fresh. Enjoyed the food every time. All wonderfully hot, the staff are really helpful and chatty.

Great food fantastic but down side cath and Barry have terminated there contract don't no who can replace them

Lovely food served at poppies but you have to book in advance. Desserts are home made including the cheeses cakes which are delicious. The shop have mainly the essentials you can order your daily paper

Si os gustan las patatas fritas con todo estará bien atendidos. especiales son una buena relación calidad-precio, pero de nuevo las patatas fritas y guisantes con todos ellos. Personal muy amable y servicial. Debe llevar el domingo y ofertas especiales se puede reservar con antelación. No probé el desayuno, ya que no las frituras.

We eat here twice during our camping stay at Widdecombe farm. The food was Nice and we found it good value, it is a limited menu with specials. Book early for Sunday roast. Pleasant Staff good service and a warm welcome 😀

We only ate once here, and not very impressed.Expecting a lot better after reading reviews on here. The other campers said that the cooked breakfast was very nice, but as we dont eat fry-ups we never tried it ourselves.

Poppys is a very nice little resturant for an on site one. I personally only had a portion of take away chips which were plentiful hot and tasty, my husband had a burger which he said was ok but then he is little fussy. Every time we went past it was busy and the plates of food looked plentiful. You had to book friday and saturday as they were the days they got really busy. Very reasonabley priced.

I have visited widdicombe farm touring park for quite a few years now and I am very pleased with poppies restaurant. it is good to arrive in the morning and go into poppies for a full breakfast ,this sets you up for the day.the prices are good and the sevice is 110%,the staff can not do enough for you and they always have a smile for you even the young waiter.my wife and I enjoy the evening meals there and I do not find them exspensive,we have been to other restaurants and payed more and the food has not been as good. all the staff at poppies are very wecoming and go out of their way to please you.there is a notice on entry to poppies telling you that they do not take debit or credit cards. I can recommend poppies restaurant to anyone coming to widdicombe farm and can honestly say that you will enjoy your meal 110%
